Okay it would be cool if you took the teardown pictures and did something like idk combine these 2 pictures maybe throw in a transformer head and an Asus logo along with a few more chips plus resistors

How bout this?
Someone posted this in the wallpaper thread with Android logo so I swapped it to an Autobot logo.
Try My wallpaper
Just whipped this up, feel free to use it. If you like or use it, please click thanks. ^ ^
I went with a darker background to not overtake the apps. If you have a request feel free to toss it my way. Not making any promises, especially if I get like 30, but I could work on a few in my spare time, especially if they are simple like in this post.

Just to let you guys know the wallpaper resolution needed is 1920 x 1408 with the main focus being the 1280x800 in landscape and I beloved I got the numbers right
Here is a template I found
kokusho said:
the wallpaper scrolling is very complex in honeycomb (it's made simpler in ICS)
You have 4 zoom state.
1) The first one is when you are in landscape.
2) Then when you are in landscape and go to the application menu (there is a zoom out)
3) Then there s when you are in portrait.
4) And finally, when you are in portrait and go to the application menu.
All thoses states are visible when you try to set a wallpaper in the gallery (all those outlines)
So what it means is that in order to set correctly a wallpaper it has to be really huge to provide content for the more zoom out state (4) but the main subject of your picture have to be in a small area in the center of the image to fit correctly in a landscape screen.
For exemple, This is a standard honeycomb wallpaper:
http://www.techcredo.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/default-honeycomb-wallpapers-bucky.jpg
It's fricking huge (1920x1408) and the subject (the balls) is smaller in the middle.
If you only care about how it look in portrait, you can make a big black image and add your wallpaper in the middle of it then set it correctly in the gallery with the help of the outlines. but, you ll see black borders when oppening the apps drawer or switching to portrait mode.
You can do this, on your PC with any software, but directly on a tablet in think Picsay (free or Pro) is the easiest way. It handles High definition picture and doesn't wreck the quality of it.
Maybe I'll make a video tutorial on how to do this.

yea that is an awesome template, I was wondering if something like this was floating around.
I'm gonna throw my hand in at this too. I got 1 design job left that I should be able to finish in a few hours then I'll get to work on this wall for you. I'll try to keep your pics in mind (I found some better ones to work with though). And thanks for that template, will make it easier to design since I haven't got my prime yet.

I was hoping someone could help me out here. There's a picture I got from the GQ A website of Evan Rachel Wood and I've been trying to set it up as a wall paper the problem is that the image keeps coming out all fuzzy and retarded I've tried using the default wallpaper app and also wallpaper set and save and wallswitch but the image like I said still comes out retarded. Can anyone make a proper wallpaper for me? Or at least point me three right direction as to how I can do it myself? Thanks all!

LOL no way dude, Red HEad's ARE AMAZING!
I absolutely LOVE Evan Rachel Wood, her + blonde hair = one of my exes.
Edit: You wouldn't happen to have a larger pictuer? This one's way too small to work with to make a 960x800 image out of, though masterotaku is pretty close.
Horizontally-oriented images are trickier for good wallpapers. And the low resolution makes it difficult to get a good clear wp out of as well.
The best way would be to look around for a hi-res scan of that photo from the magazine, assuming you don't have a copy yourself. You can often find good quality scans on different photo- or celebrity forums, though you may have to register on a few.
The not-as-good way would be to just enlarge the photo in PS or something. There are filters that do a pretty good job but you may wanna play around with some softening filters to make it look better. IMO really sharp images don't work well as backgrounds as the icons should be the biggest focus, but I'm a fan of rather minimalistic themes.
Regarding your particular image, I would either crop her above the knees (and possibly part of her forehead), to make the most of body-to-background ratio, or maybe expand the sides of the image a bit if you want to include all of your "model". The cheap-and-dirty way would to just throw black bars on the sides but that looks like crap.
So yeah, play with enlarging the photo to the width (960), making sure it's as non-pixelated as possible, then worry about the height (800). If you're struggling I'll try messing with it myself.

No, I don't see it on mine...

Its extremely apparent with dark backgrounds. I can't seem to recall if I had ever seen it before, it's really one of those things that you don't notice at first but once you do see it you can't look past it (if that makes sense).

If you guys don't notice it, that's great it doesn't bother you. For me it is particularly apparent only in extreme cases (i use 'screen filter' 25% brightness, and dark backgrounds). However, I am convinced this is on all of our phones (ie: is a characteristic of our display), but is not a defect.

are you using 'screen filter' because the screen is too bright? if so it's a terrible solution to that. use adj brightness instead and set the brightness to 2.
I figured I would post here, since I am having a weird screen border issue as well, but mine is different (I didn't want to clutter with a new thread).
On certain apps there is a border of about 1cm on the left/right/ and bottom of the display. It is only on certain apps (MixZing, Modern Combat, Tetris to name a few). Also, all of the apps in question work fine with no border on MY atrix, it is my brothers that is having the issues. He is on the new Bell update.

The homescreen is fine, and full screen, as is browser, and most apps. Just a few that won't work full screen. Any ideas? Factory reset needed? Any ideas are appreciated,
Thanks in advance

Sorry to drag up an old thread. I've been using your bootanimation on my DX2, and love it. Having already converted it to a qHD screen, how hard do you think it would be to have it show up in landscape? So the particles would come in from the top and bottom of the phone. It's just that with such a smooth, colorful animation, it would be awesome if it were to fill the whole screen. Thanks.
Looks great thanks

i actually tried that and re-sized every image to landscape qHD and modified the config file, but i couldn't get it to work. it just kept showing a black screen. i only put about an hours' worth of effort into it though so if I find the time in the next few days i'll give it another shot.
Is there a port for the Cyanogenmod Nexus (blue version) in our display size?

i took the liberty of rotating it as-is, didn't re-size it or anything for the Atrix (which makes it look a bit odd on our phones, at least to me). OP, feel free to nuke if you don't like it.

Well the permissions were different, however the problem was that I removed the extra test in front of "bootanimation" but forgot to delete, "-rotated". Derp!!! Look great. Would be totally awesome if it filled the whole screen, but at least it looks more proportional to the screen shape. Thanks for the quick work.
Been using this for the last few days, it looks great. Thank you
I'll post a link to the one that I resized in a bit. ;-)

how does the finger print smudging on the back compare? Does the champagne show fingerprints as awfully as the graphite does?
The Champagne doesn't seem to show the smudges nearly as much, but I have only had it for a day so I really can't say for sure.

It's just lighting in the photos. My grey prime also looks purple-y like the PR pictures. I prefer the colour, makes it look different from other tablets. : )
I've found it nearly impossible to photograph these things and really show their colors, partly because they both look so different in different lighting. Don't like how either of them look? Then just hold it at a different angle to the light...
I've had both side-by-side, and I think each has its charms. Interestingly, I do find the combination of the Champagne Gold tablet with the Amethyst Gray dock to be quite striking.
Thanks to draw something, I'm considering getting this phone. Has anyone played it using the s-pen? If so how is it? I imagine it's super accurate to draw things and makes the game all the more fun.

D: That's all I have to say...just.... D:
I'm a horrible sketcher, but with the s pen it makes it so much more precise to direct your lines and fill color.
I drew Bowser yesterday and it came out a lot better than I thought it would. I would have done more, but it was telling me I was running out of ink lol.
I've been playing this game using my S-Pen. The stylus is a godsend for this particular app. Unfortunately, the nanosecond delay in inputs makes it so that my drawings look really cheesy. If I draw something, what I draw doesn't appear instantaneously ... there's always a very slight delay, but that delay caused major issues for accuracy. I don't see any solution to this problem.

yea...that's it, that's why my drawlings suck too, the delay is inhibiting my artistic abilities to drawl stick figures.
Those pictures are epic! I'm jealous of people who can draw.
The stylus action isn't quite as good as a full blown Wacom tablet or a tablet PC with Wacom pen like an older LE1600 (which I have), but it's a lot better than an iPad or iPhone with a mushy capaci-touch type stylus. There's some okay accuracy styli on iOS, just not really pressure sensitive.
My understanding is the S-Pen will be better supported with ICS. As it stands, there's a handful of suitable pressure-friendly paint apps already, more soon I should think. Doodledroid and Hello Color Pencil are two good ones.
Of course, the Note display isn't huge, but I did a few decent drawings on my iPhone with just my finger, so this is a lot better by comparison.
I never got around to trying Draw Something until I got the Note, but now I've got a good addiction going.
I'm kind of torn on some of the images. On one hand, they are spectacular - on the other hand wondering how long it takes to make them. I would love to use the Note & this game to improve my drawing skills (of which I have none of), but I don't want to spend an hour doing a drawing either.
I think the part I like the most is seeing how a drawing is done. There is a screen saved I used to love watching called Drawing Hand (google it) where you watch the artist draw the image using just a basic pen tool and a smudge tool. Always wanted to emulate by learning, but I just don't have the art skill.
Hoping DS will improve my drawing skill some. So far, looks like all my friends are about the same stick figure level that I am.
Is there a sight to see some art done by people, preferably with a way to see them draw it? There a way I'm missing to start a drawing, then come back to finish it later?
BTW - they got bought by zynga (sp) for a rumored 200 million today (!)
If you guys love draw something, and want to post your pics, do so here:
