Galaxy Player 5.0 Screen Protector - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I am wondering which ones you guys bought for your players (Obviously those screens are too nice to be scratched ). I got the Zagg Invisibleshield on their cyber Monday sale for $8

Same thing for me, same promotion. Now, I hate those Zagg guys.
But the important thing I guess is that the screen protector works well.

I bought a cheap ebay set, used for 2-3 weeks, removed. They scratched too easily. I like it bare! Have nice leather case, hopefully I won't scratch it... or good ones will become available.

After trying different types of screen protectors for my phone and tablet, I found that it is best to bare it. Screens produced these days are very tough actually, I don't have any scratches on any devices so far.

These days I only get screen protectors to deal with fingerprints... The Moshi screen protectors AT&T carries are great for this. Problem is that since the SGP5 isn't an AT&T phone, I don't get the usual 50% discount on accessories I get.
I had a ZAGG InvisibleShield on my Huawei S7, which was decent, and reminds me I need to eBay that piece of **** tablet. (Whatever you all do - don't buy Huawei products. They've improved build quality a lot, but customer support for their devices SUCKS.)
The SGP5 is a fingerprint/fingersmudge magnet.

I find there are fewer fingerprints bare than with a protector (at least the cheap ones). A bare screen also cleans much easier. I may try one of those matte anti-fingerprint ones. Bare is so smooth and responsive!

Yeah, the Moshis I had on my Infuse and have on my GSII are matte anti-fingerprint - love em'!

I got on my 2 Galaxy tabs Ghost Armor but on my 2 SGS II i got the Zagg but I will take it off and go with the Ghost Armor, I like it better!!

i got a skinomi screen protector and carbon fiber skin protector. the screen protector works pretty well, the skin is really just for a little more grip.
i had some issues with shipping, but, long story short, they had some great customer service, and they ended up shipping me two.

I have seen a lot of comments about Zagg that the screen protector feels rubbery or sticky to the touch. Is that correct? How about the ghost armor.
At this point, I have not put anything on. I like the look and touch of the screen, and I the only pocket that I would put my SGP 5 in is my shirt pocket. It has a folio case for traveling.
I would like to keep the screen protected, but just don't know what to use that I have not read bad comments about.

I have zagg on 2 of my devices and they were both a little sticky feeling for the first week or so, but as you use it, it irons out to a perfect smooth. I love Zagg and I'll get one for every device I own!

I got a Skinomi screen protector and wood skin for my Archos 70. The skin gave it better grip but after 6 months, the skins small pieces kept falling off. The screen protector though is great. Never coming loose. I had a couple scratches show up on it but after a few minutes they disappeared. Also the bare screen was a finger print magnet but once I go this screen protector on it was much better. Loved Skinomi screen protector so much I ordered one the for my Samsung 5 minutes after I ordered the device itself. Screen protector came before the device so I was able to put it on right away. Looks great, finger prints barely show up, never need to clean off the screen, never got any scratches showing up.

Supposedly the Zagg are made of the same material as the Skinomi. I noticed that it does have a little bit of a rubbery feel which doesn't bother me. It also did have a bit of a sticky feel, but that went away after a while. I thought maybe I got used to the sticky feel but I had one of these on my Archos tablet and the sticky feel went away, then when I got my Samsung and put a skinomi on that I felt the sticky again so it was not that I got use to the sticky feeling, it actually went away (The sticky feeling on my Samsung is now gone). I don't think I'll ever get another mobile device without getting a Skinomi screen (or ZAGG if they happen to be cheaper).

How is the quality, I want a protector for my SGP, too

I had a cheap Ebay one on it, but took it off because it got greasy way too fast. I like it bare, I'm not too worried about scratches. I tried scratching it with an exacto knife and it didn't scratch. I carry it around in this case which protects it very well: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-...GEOQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327694289&sr=8-1
I also have this case on the device, that gives it a good grip and additional protection.

I use an xtreemegaurd. I like it a lot! Easy to install, and I only have like one or two air bubbles, (not on the screen)

I bought a basic TPU

I bought 2 but I lost one, always good to have the film on it

any tips on how to remove bubbles on screen protectors? they're annoying

Remove protector is easiest way. I've been running bare for a month, no scratches yet! Otherwise if you are careful you should be able to get no bubbles. They are usually caused by lint or dust specks. You can try pealing back and using tape to remove the dust, then roll it back down. I have yet to find a protector that feels as good as the raw screen (which seems very durable)

I am using Stealth Shieldz. They are just like Zagg, but a lot cheaper and come with two. They are like 3 dollars on amazon. Absolutely no air bubbles. It is also a tad bit thinner than zagg I believe. It is a great screen protector. Lifetime warranty. So far so good.

How about checking the Skinomi thread in this very first page of this section ?
I just orderded some screen protectors from ebay hong kong. 11.99 for 3. ill let you know how they work.
Good Screen Protector
Ordered one from Amazon made by Aurum(do a search). It came quickly and I am very happy with it, wished I waited a few days, they have a deal going on with it.
It says its made from Japanese PET, in my experience it is better than those "military" strength ones like Zagg etc(bad evo 4g experience). This one has a dry application and protected on both top and bottom by covers (a protector for the protector). Ships from the US.
I have the Skinomi. I'm happy with it, but it does not appear to help with glare or screen angles (though, honestly, I only used it for a few minutes before installing the protector).

Go with the Skinomi one. It's cheap (relatively if you consider lifetime free replacement) and if you don't botch the installation it looks fantastic. And... you don't have to wait three weeks for something to come from China.
Don't get me wrong, I buy stuff from China sometimes but only when I can't get it here or if it's a lot more money to get it from here.
Anyone have recommendations for screen protectors? Looking for helping with anti glare and no finger prints on it. Any info would be great. Thank for all the feedback so far.

Do you mean this one ? according to the user image its not custom made (no holes for the camer/sensors) not sure if it would even cover the bezel + the screen.

The Skinomi one requires a WET application, that then has to dry, do you really want to spray some liquid on your new g-tab? I tried this on my Evo installation was a pain but then my fingers got stuck scrolling, so I learned my lesson and stick to the PET material which has a silicone coating for smooth movement
Aurum Screen Protector
You are right, I have the Aurum one from Amazon on my G-tablet, and there are no holes, but I do not see a difference in camera performance. The protector covers bezel to bezel. I've used the camera with and without the protector, all I know is that it is as grainy before as it was after the Aurum screen protector. I do not use the camera(I really do not need anyone getting scared looking at me) so it's fine by me, it the smoothness of movement that matters.
just my $0.02, but why not use the one by Zagg....?..

Thanks for the info, Traderny. Would you say that the Aurum screen protector allows for smoother gliding movements than the unprotected GTab screen? I'm hoping to find something that provides a nice swipe feel. Too often my fingers would "stick" to the naked screen or (less so, but still) the Skinomi protector.
My .2 cents

Wet application screen protectors have been around for a while and it has been shown to not be an issue if you follow the directions on installation. There are thousands of people that have used wet installation screen protectors here in the gTab forums that have reported no residual issues with the gTab during/after application.
Also, you don't spray liquid on the gTab, rather you're supposed to spray the liquid on both sides of the screen protector before application and dab up the excess liquid as you work it to the edges with the provided plastic card.
I've used both PET and this style of screen protectors on devices before and I prefer this over the PET as I have found the PET style protectors to be too shiny for my tastes.
Among the most helpful reviews for the PET protector on Amazon there are these comments:
1.) Good product, but a pain to put on. Just the slightest piece of dust will cause an air bubble.
2.) According to the packaging, this item is "Finger print free" and "Bubble free application". I experienced both. I would NEVER purchase this product again or recommend it.
Just goes to show you that people will find something to complain about no matter what the product is.
Protectors Protect
My experience with screen protectors on cell phones is that they are only good to protect the screen from damage. All of them will show fingerprints, smudges, grease and oil. This is esp. true with a touch screen. it's like wearing glasses you got to clean them alot. So save time money and headache by putting a microfiber cloth in the bag with your Gtab.
I went with the Exim anti-glare screen protectors, but did have to wait for shipping from China. I bought a complete skinomi skin set, and promptly botched the wet application of the screen protector, but since I wanted the anti-glare it just meant a week wait for the Chinese Air Mail which I had already ordered.
Overall I like the Exim, it was easy to install without any bubbles, though you might want to trim the corners a bit as its a very tight fit. I ended up cutting them off after applying it because I had the screen on perfectly without a single dust mote making a raised area. I don't mind a poorly cut corner, but do wish I had just done a quick trimming beforehand as I wasn't perfectly centered.
2 for $12.99... Was worth the wait.
Hey Naieve,
does it really help with the anti glare issue? Also does it have any issues with the touch screen interface? Is the screen protector to thick that it doesnt detect your finger movement on the screen? Any help on the finger print issues haha?
It helps some with the glare, definitely diffuses the light, but it looks more like a compromise in between a clear protector and some of the very heavy anti-glare screen protectors I've seen. I like it because of this actually. As to issues with the touch screen, I spent some time googling before buying, and while I forget where I read it the fact is there is no difference while using this protector. Even a light touch still works just fine. I wonder if that is the reason this AG protector diffuses less light, as I have heard of some AG protectors being too thick and screwing up touch. It does still show fingeprints, but its not that bad and is easy to clean. Definitely less noticeable than just the screen itself.

I said I would update once my Aurum arrived. Like others have mentioned, there is no cutout for the camera or sensor - I don't know what effect that has nor do I really care. I never use the camera anyway.
The protector itself fits perfectly on the screen - it is so perfect that I had trouble aligning it properly and i would get halfway done installing it and notice it was running off the side of the screen slightly.
It took a few minutes to install because I did want it to be perfect. Now that it is installed I am really happy with it. My fingers slide better across the screen and there are far less fingerprints. I am happy with my purchase.

Screen protectors. The big shootout.

I've been looking at some reviews including a very lengthy one from a couple of years back on Youtube where he tried about NINE different brands (Including anti-glare or crystal from the same manufacturers) and he tried pretty much most of the known brands including Zagg. He did miss out Martin Fields and a few others though.
I've seen the XO skins are pretty easy to apply wet. Much easier than the Zagg.
XO aplication.

Large shooutout of various screen protectors. But it's a couple of years old and for a tablet PC rather than pads.
http://www.youtube.com/user/tonkabui#p/u/0/9XdVHL1M7vM
I am going to continue looking. But if anyone finds the perfect screen protector let me know. That XO looks easy to apply. But I want anti-glare and anti-reflectin as well as anti-smudge and 0 bubbles (in other words eacy to apply). Protection from scratches is actually pretty low down my list of wants.
If anyone can post their experiences (good or bad) of various screen protectors please do so here. I noticed there is a reasonably priced TF1010 anti-glare protector made by Posr.us and has two five star reviews on Amazon. Also someone called MFX is making one as well as Martin Fields and SGP Steinheil.
Thanks I needed one still and this looked decent and easy to apply (I prefer the wet application) I bought it and used coupon code "retailmenotxo" for 15% off ... it covered more than the shipping so that was cool.
I put on Skinomi on my beloved transformer. yeah it's a wet app, and I'm not yet skilled in it's application yet, but certainly feel much safer with it on than not - even despite the alleged "scratch resisteance of Gorilla Glass"
well my screen has a scratch only had it a week

Well, scratch resistant =/= scratch proof, so all those people who say Gorilla Glass is the reason why you shouldn't need a screen protector are fooling themselves. I personally have a clearfreak protector on my transformer. It definitely makes me feel more at ease when I use it.
I bought two of the (as far as I can tell) unbranded screen protectors from ElectronicCrap.com. Other than the non-existent directions, I'm quite happy. Not terrible with the fingerprints, reduces the glare, feels and appears quite durable. Price seems a tad steep (given that you can get whole packages of universal ones for like $10) but these fit perfectly edge-to-edge with the cutout for both the light sensor and the camera. It didn't come with directions of any kind but it's a screen protector - it isn't rocket science. I'd say overall it's a keeper.
I picked up a dcmugen antiglare from ebay and I love it. Damp or dry install, the type with the two peel off layers, and repositionable to boot. It ships from Asia, and mine came with a slight crease causing bubbles that cant be flattened. I've requested a replacement, waiting to see if they follow through. So much easy to use indoor and out, and far fewer fingerprints to clean off.

My experience with Zagg has been mixed with all my devices but their customer support is good. If you get a bad protector(line down middle, or little imperfections) they will send you another.
The XO skin looked very promising, and for $10 cheaper I thought I would give it a shot. Just placed an order for the XO skin.
Use discount code retailmenotxo for $3 off(free shipping pretty much)
Pulled the trigger on an XO
after watching all the youtube reviews, i decided that the XO looked best.
ordered one this morning.
just a thanks to all the folks responsible for putting the links and testing together in one place for time-challenged guys like me.
btw, i think the transformer is one of the smartest purchases i've made in the last few years. i'm thoroughly enjoying it.
marvin
Following up on my earlier post. Installed the XO skin in my university's clean room(0 dust, yes I wore the cleanroom suit) and it has streaks. The protector quality is very good but once you put it on there are visible streaks all over. I kept the applicator wet so there would not be "burn marks" as specified by the instructions.
Going to ask for a refund... maybe I'll give Zagg another try. My first ZuneHD protector was wonderful but the 2nd one I got had a big line down it(bad QC).
The perfect screen protector
I always have problems applying the screen protectors to any of my devices, so I did some research and decided to go with one made by a company called Aurum. The deciding factor was that it had a large cut out for my camera so its easier to apply. Overall, I am very happy. I got the two pack in case I messed up the first one.
http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Eee-Pad-...4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1308242480&sr=1-4
I dont think I will ever buy the wet applicator types again, the dry is just simpler and gives me choices in whether I want a clear or the anti-glare. Hope this helps
Here is the link to the anti-glare offered by Aurum in case anyone is interested: http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-M...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311083745&sr=1-1
I usually get Bodyguardz for all my gadgets (mostly phones). It just feels better than Zagg's invisible shield and other screen protectors.
Anyone tried using Bodyguardz? I'm thinking about getting either the full body protector or just the screen protector. Hmmm this is tough.
Following up... after 24 hours drying/curing it looks much more acceptable. The funny part is there is a tiny black spec under the protector. I don't know how it got there since I was in a cleanroom!
Found this one in Amazon, similar to the Aurum with anti-glare.
Anyone has used this ? Is this any good ?

Hmmm... I have previously considered to buy it too, but I've seen the Gorilla Glas Test with the Transformer in a YouTube video... you dont need a screen protector
I just got a screen protector from Photodon. Their MXA film is great. It was a bit of work to put it on with no dust and correctly aligned. But once it's on it looks pretty good. It's got a glossy finish, so it looks just like the original screen. You can hardly tell that there is a screen protector on the transformer. It is pricey at almost $20.00 each, ut the screen is still sharp and crystal clear with none of the haze that a lot of cheap screen protectors have.
xxx.photodon.com/p/MXA-5445-01.html
I used to have Bodyguards for my HTC Touch Pro and it peeled after three months both times that I used them. Now I use Phantom Skinz and I get no orange peel effect and I've had one on my HTC Evo 4G for almost 1 1/2 years with no peeling and no orange peel effect. Smooth as glass and you can't even tell it's on there.
Now I have Phantom Skinz screen protector on my TF and Phantom Skinz Chromatics white carbon skin for the back side. Very nice to say the least.
I would highly recommend a screen protector for the TF because although it has Cornings Gorilla glass, it sux for finger prints and fingerprints are easier to wipe off of a sceen protector than the Gorilla glass.
im using the steinheil Ultra Crystal. also use it on my phone.

[Q] Favorite Screen Protector?

Just got my first screen scratch on my new Rezound yesterday and have been kicking myself ever since. I've used screen protectors in the past on my tablets, but I personally didn't like the way they felt. They felt plasticky and cheap, whereas the glass screens were so smooth and premium-feeling.
My question to you, the Internet, is about screen protectors. Which one do you like most? Which one feels most like glass/is least noticeable/etc.?
(I searched, but most of the recommended ones in other threads are not produced for the Rezound yet.)
I havent found any legit ones on ebay yet. I like the rubbery film protectors not the hard plastic ones. My favorite for the Inc1 and 2 was the NakedShield. Those were awesome. Couldnt even tell there was anything on it.
I bought one from ebay by "xtreme guard" and it was awful. Pretty good materials but terrible shipping. I got several replacements from him because he ships them alone in an envelope and they come stuck to the side and rip when taken out. I told him several times and attempted to send him pictures of me opening the envelope and seeing the destroyed product but he didnt care
I have one from verizon that I got when I purchased the phone and it's ok, but I have used the seidio ultimate screen guard on every phone I've had since the Evo 4g on Sprint and I really like the feel of them. It's really clear, goes on easy and doesn't feel sticky. I would recommend them.
http://www.seidioonline.com/htc-rezound-screen-guard-protector-p/spm1htrzd.htm
I like the rubbery kind cause they don't scratch or mar.
I use the Ghost Armor brand.
It's crystal clear.
Smooth but not plastic feel.
Some people talk about orange peel effect, for me I only see it if I hold the phone at extreme angle. I never see it or feel it in actual use.
The Ghost Armor seems to be more finger oil resistant than nakedd or the plastic static screen protectors.
And with Ghost's you get life time replacements for your device.
They also have kiosk in malls, where they do installs and replacements.
Yeah $5 replacements and $20 for initial product and install. Ebay protector costs $2 and does the same thing plus I don't have to stick it in an oven or coat it in water.
anybody find one that covers the whole screen including the camer, LED and light sensor?
I've been using (and loving) Skinomi. Yeah, with that name it sounds like it should be sold in a sex shop, but it's a fantastic screen protector. It feels like the bare glass, is crystal clear, and can be put on easily.
You know, now that I think about it, maybe it SHOULD be sold in a sex shop...

Well that's one way to look at it. My previous phone I put the full body Ghost armor on myself, went like 9 months, no case, then it started to peel around the edges got it re-skinned for 5 and it lasted another 18 months until I got this phone.
I tried those static protectors and I just don't like the feel, and they get smudges galore.
E-bay may have something just as good or better but I don't know what it is, and don't have the time to waste buying from a bunch of different places. There's probably a thousand choices on eBay, but I have no clue which is good or if they are even consistent with what they sell. They may be getting screen protectors from several manufacturers.
I'm not certain, but I thought the 5 buck replacement is only if you have it re-installed at a kiosk?
I picked up the clear Halo ones off of Amazon, and am really happy. Don't like the rubbery Zagg ones, and don't like the anti-glare ones as they seem to mess with the clearness of the screen.
I bought the clear Verizon ones when I picked up the phone, and while they are clear, they scratch very easily.
I've had the Halo ones for about a week. They are just as clear, and haven't scratched yet. They fit better than the Verizon, a bit wider so they cover edge to edge, but not quite tall enough. (When you install them, start at the top)
http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Screen-P...ZBEI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327964467&sr=8-1
so far the Seido ultimate screen guards have satisfied me, as clear as the glass, no distortions at any angle... I do recommend!
Just got a second one from "Clear Freak" on ebay. He sent me one for the wrong phone. So I'm having no luck with eBay protectors. I trimmed it to fit but wouldnt advise it. I do tint all day so it came pretty easy to me
Pretty happy with the one that came with my otterbox. tried the Zagg but didnt get along with that one.
I have the REALOOK Crystal Clear one. works very well and no distortions. fits the front plate perfectly from edge to edge. It covers the capacitive buttons, camera hole, and proximity sensor.
Applied in a steamed bathroom and result had no air bubbles.

Not a good idea. Had several people call in with water damage on their phones and I had to tell em tough luck. Doesn't matter if it actually has water damage just if the external or internal sticker turns pink

I just got in my Boxwave Crystal Clear today and it fits over the entire glass top to bottom with a cutout for the front facing camera. I had one on my Dinc for 2 years and it was great--got very view scratches--and I like the feel on the screen. They are expensive but can be removed, cleaned, and replaced.

I've had these for about a month, and they're the best. It still feels like you just have the glass on it still, and it really does cover every part of the glass area. You honestly forget there's anything on it.

I love my ZAGG protector. They're difficult to put on, but it's worth it. Had one for the DInc and it lasted the entire two years until my upgrade, and is still currently on there! I don't get the rubbery feel that others mentioned, mine is smooth as a baby's bottom.

Press your fingernail into the black area above or below the screen. You will see it is not hard like the bare glass. That small bit of give is what is being described. The static screen protectors don't have that.

I agree, REALOOK Screen Protectors are good quality. It covers the entire face, with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint qualities...

[Q] One day in pocket = demolished screen protector... good screen protectors?

So, I just got the phone this past weekend when it came out. Today was its first day to go with me to work, and the screen protector faired poorly. There are two "permanent smudges" from rubbing, and many, many, MANY scratches all over it. I have no idea how this happens from just sitting in my pocket, unless there's dirt and dust rubbing against it causing the damage.
So after one-day, the Sprint-store screen protector is trashed.
Any phone pocket'ers have any suggestions as to screen protection?
The "Body glove" case faired OK, so at least the back-side is ok!
I once had an "SGP" screen protector on the Evo Shift, and it was good and a little more resilient, but it still ended up with smudges and scratches from riding in my pocket.
I would just use the "Gorilla Glass" screen but the the "permanent smudge" pocket wear marks would be on the screen instead of a screen protector!
I haven't used a screen protector since my Evo 4G. I used two different kinds and I don't even remember what they were. I actually stopped using the second one because I didn't feel like I could swipe my finger across the screen smoothly enough. I actually broke my 4G by throwing it at a wall. The screen didn't crack, but it no longer worked. That little fit of rage assuaged any concerns I had about the screen ever breaking.
Zagg screen protector. Get the "HD" one-can't even tell it's there. Lifetime warranty. totally worth it. I gave used them on all my devices for years.
Edit: they are guaranteed not to be scratch-even by keys!

2nd Recommendation for a Zagg Invisibleshield HD. They are amazing and you can't tell they are there. They have a lifetime warranty in case they peel or start to turn orange, feel like glass not rubbery at all, and are amazing. I have one on my Kindle Fire too.
I just looked up the Zagg InvisibleShield and that's the second screen protector I had on my original Evo. I didn't really like it. It covered the whole screen and offered great protection, but I hated the way it felt. Having gone about a year without any kind of screen protection, I must say I prefer a naked screen to a protected one.
A buddy of mine had an OtterBox Defender for his Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and eventually got tired of having the screen protector.
It's your prerogative to have a screen protector. I can vouch for Zagg's reliability and protection, but it gives an orange peel effect and makes swiping your finger across the screen more work. Having dropped my phone on various surfaces and throwing one across the room at a wall, I don't think these screens really need protecting.

You had the orig Zagg not the new HD ones. The new ones rock even compared to the older ones.
Will
I will personally never use another screen protector after launching my phone into a wall and picking it up to see it was not cracked. The screen no longer worked, but a screen protector would have done nothing to change that. I would rather invest my money in a case that will protect other parts of the phone that aren't quite as indestructible.
It sounds like the Zagg screen protectors are still the best. I was hoping to find a dry screen protector, but I guess they still haven't made any of them. But I did want to ask a stupid question about the Zagg screen protectors. Above people where talking about an HD version of Zagg screen protectors. Is that the same as the link below, because I don't see the words HD on the page, that said I saw it all over their main page, so it might just be that all their screen protectors are this HD version now. Is that correct, and is this the link everyone is talking about?

The HD version is sold exclusively by Best Buy right now. So it's not on their site.
Check out the XO Screen Protectors.

I also am with the Zagg HD. I like it, is very clear, and very thin. you'll hardly notice it.
Haha what in the world happens in your pockets? I've had the Sprint screen protector on my phone and in my pocket for two weeks and it is as good as ever. I've had people continually tell me that I need to put a screen protector on my phone because I'm going to mess up the screen... It's that clear and smooth! I typically don't like Sprint's accessories, but I love this thing so far! I had an Invisishield before and hated it. Maybe the HD ones are better, but I just can't bring myself to do it again.
Zagg HD all the way, can't even tell it's there

+1 on the zagg HD, just got it today at bby with their rocketfish softcase, gel case, installed for only $35. Had a 35 gift card so I didn't complain. Having had the original zagg case for a short while on my OG EVO and going to this new HD case I can definitely tell the difference, I much prefer this screen protector.

i would wait for an sgp screen protector. from what i hear they are the best of the best when it comes to screen protectors. i personally have never used a screen protector so i don't know first hand but none the less. also ive had my evo for about a year and a half and there is not one scratch on it so i don't think i will buy one for my lte when i get it in november
I maintain that these phones do not need screen protectors, but if a $15 purchase gives you peace of mind, go for it. I would rather put that money towards a case that protects parts of the phone that are far less indestructible.
I also put down the money for a Seidio active case as well as my Zagg HD screen protector. I don't go cheap on something so expensive to replace.

i know its not out yet but http://www.clear-coat.com is by far the best protector ive ever had for a phone hands down. the hands on demo on the front page is completely legit. things work no doubt.
Throw in another vote for Zagg HD....I too was a hater of screen protectors on a touch screen phone. Always ruined the touch.....I understand some of the haters out there...I was a strong hater of screen protectors.
This though is unbelievably good...like others have said, its like its not there.....feels like the glass. If you get one from best buy, have them install it....if you don't like the job they did they will put another one on at no charge until you are happy. Bubbles will work out after a few days....I have never been this happy about a screen protector.
Besides...you still have 30 days to return it if you decide you don't like it.

My Experience with the amFilm GN3 Premium Screen Protector

I was one of the people that inquired about the new screen protectors released by the owners at TechMatte. I applied the screen protector for a few days before I received by iLoome flex tempered glass, but I must say that had I not ordered the iLoome previous to receiving this screen protector, I don't think I would have ever made the purchase for the tempered glass.
Applying was a breeze (I've done plenty in the past) and the surface is silky smooth. I don't have the orange peel effect and it makes it seem as if you were using the phone without a screen protector at all. It's that good. S-Pen glides with ease! Thickness is top notch and fits in my slim case just fine. The alignment and cutouts are to the T! All in all a great screen protector at a great price. Packaging is exceptional.
I received 3 in the package and gave the other two out to my uncle and friend. Before I gave them each one, I applied to my phone first to ensure that they wouldn't be disappointed if I was initially as they've had negative experiences in the past with other protectors. Fortunately, I haven't heard anything negative and they are still running it to this day.
If you don't want to do the tempered glass route, go with amFilm screen protectors! They're a steal at this price:

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the screen protector on the my GN3, as I have switched to the iLoome. But imagine a naked GN3 and that's essentially what it feels like.
S pen glides like a loaded down dually going uphill in deep snow. Other than that it was good. Seriously. But I did take off for another brand that is good with the s pen also.

Amazing description, lol - but did you try with the harder plastic S-Pen tip? My Note 3 came with the rubbery one pre-installed, and I switched it to the firmer plastic one right away for better gliding. It's hard to tell, but if you look closely and test them on the screen before inserting them into the S-Pen, you can tell the difference between the tips...

Hmm.. Will double check later. I could've sworn my pen came with the harder tip already on. Will be awhile before I test the am film again though. The screen protector I am using now is very good, rearth invisible defender . Very resistant to scratching and good swipe action without having to add rain x or oleophobic coating. Still haven't opened my ismooth's yet either which I liked on note2.
