Anyone having an issue sending files between two touchpads via Bluetooth? I have no problem between phone and touchpad, but receive a connection or permission error when sending between two touchpads. I have tried es file explorer and bluetooth file transfer. I think it may be a bug. I'm running alpha 3.5. Any ideas?

It seems from what research I have been able to do that all touchpads seem to share the same bluetooth address. This causes issues with transfer between touchpads. There are a few devs trying to find a way to modify the port address for bluetooth to fix this. There was a thread on rootzwiki (I believe it was there but can't remember for sure) concerning this problem.

Has anyone been able to successfully able to tether their bb using pdanet (bluetooth) with the g tab and could please either point me to the right thread or tell me how this can be done.
Thanks
Tethering
I looked for a similar tethering question for some time. Unfortunately there isn't any software to be found that runs on android that points the net connection out to another device (like PDAnet). PDA assumes the Android device is the 3g/4g server not the client.
I was not able to find a workable method for this.
Sorry but thought I would share.
PDA Net
PDA Net now has a beta version of the software for use with tablets. I tried it on my gtab (running Calkulins ROM) and it was able to identify and pair with my Droid via bluetooth, however I couldn't get the tablet to connect to the internet through the connection. Anyone have any success with this?
It takes several tries before I can get it to connect, pairing is no problem. However once it does connect what's odd is that the connection only works thru the stock web browser, it will not work on any other browser nor the market. Strange.
I believe the beta 2 release of pdanet tablet will have the ability to tether with a bb.

Is Bluetooth File Transfer possible on a Droid Eris? I'm running GSB 2.7 using free Bluetooth File Transfer. I can pair with my Ubuntu laptop but it won't initiate a file transfer. Ubuntu says unknown error. The phone says make sure OBEX FTP is installed and discoverable.

That sounds familiar, like maybe many months ago someone had a question like that with them using Ubuntu, also. I'm sorry I don't have any other info, I don't commonly use Ubuntu, and haven't done BFTs but I just thought I'd let you know there might be a thread on here somewhere about the same problem, that you might find using XDA's or Google's search.
Has anyone managed to successfully connect to a mobile phone using bluetooth?. I've tried different phones and always get the "paired but not connected " message.
I was already in my bed but stand up to try it.
With my iPhone 4S iOS 5.1 it doesn't work over Bluetooth. Wifi hotspot works well.
So I think you are right. Get up guys and try it! Which phone works and which not?
iPhone doesn't. Over Bluetooth.
i guess the more pertinent question might be.. What are you trying to do? It will only stay connected to another handset for as long as it needs to be... so unless you're actually trying to actively use a BT connection it won't be connected.
you need to setup/install a BT profile. Check for AirBlue for iPhone.

I can pair devices but that's as far as it goes.If I try to transfer files it just wont connect.
I dont get the question,, Transfer files of using the tablet for sound or something?
For file sharing :
No problem at all first I transferred a picture from phone to tablet and that succeeded then
from tablet to phone also no problem,
Samsung Galaxy SII
But to connect with bluetooth and then Calling or something with the Tab, that just doesn't makes sense.

Same here, couldn't transfer files between my Tablet and ArcS (in either direction). Not much of an issue for me, but it's a shame BT connectivity is broken on the tablet. Here's hoping ICS will fix it
I tried a few transfers and they all worked fine.. From and to xperia s.. But... I also have astro file manager, and it's Bluetooth module..might be worth trying that..

Any one help me with the any method for Bluetooth reverse tethering.......

I'm also interested in having my Android use my Mac's (Snow Leopard) Wi-Fi connection over Bluetooth reverse tethering.
I've followed all of the instructions I've found and spent hours on it but still not yet able to get it to work...in fact it crashed my Mac's BT at one point and I had to delete the plist file and restart in order to recover it.
Surely someone here has gotten this to work successfully already using an easy method! I'm even fine not having Play Store when connected via this method...
Hi
I have a G variant of galaxy s2. When I was using CM9 my wifi-direct was working. But ever since CM10 it doesn't work any more. As it seems this problem is not going to be solved any time soon. So here is my question:
Is there any app or any sort of patch work that would fix it?
Thanx in advance
Use apps such as Airdroid or WiFi file explorer from the play store.

thank you for your help.
but the problem is that i want to send files using wifi between two phones or tablets. not between my phone and a computer.
Create Wi-Fi hotspot*, connect other phone to yours, then run Airdroid.
*without enabling data transmittion
