how can I do?
I tried "droid VNC Server" but it not work because it show me this strange ip:
fe80::207:abff:fe67:a0d4:5901
or
http://fe80::207:abff:fe67:a0d4:5801

That looks like an IPv6 ip address, are you using IPv6 on your network?

Static IP address won't work with ICS leak?

So, my WiFi network is set up for static IP addresses, and with the ICS leak, the WiFi won't transmit any data when I set my network up. It connects just fine but won't transmit any data.
At first I thought it was my attempt at making an ICS ROM (based off of the PG86IMG.zip/RUU) so I tried other people's with the same result. DHCP works fine though.
Can someone test Static IP addresses with their phone on this ICS leak?
It does work you will need to use 24 for network prefix if you are a class C (why they didn't stick with standard subnet mask 255.255.255.0 I dont know...) and you will need to use your local DNS servers.. I was able to connect to my local network and using the IP address see the routers just fine...I had to go back and change the default DNS used, to my local router's to see the internet and all was good....
It works exactly like it should on my wpa2 24bit subnet.
That's strange, because I had someone else confirm it didn't work either.
I am using 24 for the network prefix.
My network is set up like this:
ip 192.168.1.101
gateway 192.168.1.35
prefix 255.255.255.0/24
dns 208.67.222.222
dns2 208.67.220.220
wpa2
It connects but doesn't transmit data. This setup works on my TouchPad with CM9 alpha just fine, but on the phone it's a no go.
I wonder if it's a router setting I need to change. I use a DLink DIR655.
Any ideas?

Can't even ping from it?
Mine is connecting through a 1131AG Cisco wap here at work. At home I use a DDWRT based router.
:edit:
prefix 255.255.255.0/24
Just put 24 in prefix area.

Yeah, I have just 24 in there. I have no idea why i wrote that instead lol
I have it exactly how it is on my TouchPad (which works) and it's a no go :\
I have the same behavior! I have 4 SGS2 with OFFICIAL 4.0.3 release. 3 of them are OK, the fourth I had to force a static 192.168.0.x/24 address. And I have 5 other wireless devices (laptops and net tops) connected and working!!!
Nett tools app shows me unbelievable results like wrong routes and 0.0.0.0 gateway!
Oh, my God, what a BUG!
I guess it's should be in Q&A ?

Most definitely not. This is a development issue because it has to do with leaked software. no one in Q&A will bother to look, or care.

I was gonna say...I refuse to use anything that's not DD-WRT compatible on my home network. You just never know what kind of silly settings will be present in OEM router firmware.

Hi!
My friend just now had the exact same problem as you.
He updated his Xperia Active to ICS today and lost WiFi settings.
When I input the same router's settings as they were on GB they refused to work --> WiFi router connected, but internet, google play, apps,... didn't work.
Problem was, because I had static IP settings and I didn't input ALL fields in one stroke in advanced menu.
After I deleted the initial WiFi connection from his list, I used this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577877
My config is:
IP: 192.168.1.21
gateway: 192.168.1.1
network prefix length: 24
DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
DNS 2: 4.4.4.4
I left "4.4.4.4" because it took me a while to configure everything and my friend was in a hurry. Everything works because it relies on working first DNS: "8.8.8.8" (Google's DNS).
Right numbers for DNS 2 are either "192.168.1.1" (Router's IP) or "8.8.4.4" (Google's backup DNS).
I didn't know I had to input ALL fields in one stroke!
What router you have? S. Ip works for me on my dlink dir655

wifi DNS ip???

when ever i give th ip in the wifi network the sgs2 automatically save the ::1 ip in dns 1 and there is no internet please help me to solve this problem
Sorry, neither do I understand the title nor what your exact problem is
What do you mean by "i give the ip in the wifi network"? Are you trying to give your phone a fix IP address?
What do you mean by "sgs2 automatically save the ::1 ip in dns 1"? Do you mean the property for DNS1 is set to "::1"?
Normally, when using Wifi, you're using DHCP, and the DNS server is provided by the DHCP server.
So you should check the settings on your wifi access point.
I use the Google DNS (primary 8.8.8.8, secondary 8.8.4.4) and adjusted my access point to use that so that all of my DHCP clients also use it.

next thing after that to try is power down then back on your phone.
What brand is your wifi router (if its a Belkin then do yourself a favor and throw it away and get something better), does it have any security (ie wpa, wpa2, wep things like that)?
if "rebooting" the phone doesn't work try going into the wireless settings / manage connections and delete that connection then recreate it.
Sounds like something is wrong with your wifi configuration, especially the DHCP.
Try setting the IP manually on your razr. Look at your computer or some other device in your network, if it says the local IP is something like 192.178.168.50, try giving your razr the IP 192.178.168.51 or 192.178.168.52.
And try adding a DNS server manually. Google DNS or OpenDNS are some good free DNS servers. Google DNS IP: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 OpenDNS IP: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
The gateway is typically the IP of your router (if your pattern of IPs in your local net are like above [192.178.168.51], the router will most likely have the IP 192.178.168.1. Netmask is often 255.255.255.0)
If the IPs in your network look different (like for example 192.178.1.51) just do the same and only change the bold numbers.
The best way to get wifi working is looking on devices in your network that work and then adapting their settings.
Or more commonly :
192.168.0.1 Or even 192.168.1.1
Those are the common US home network ip address for routers. You can configure the last subnet up to 255 max.

[Q] Wifi has connection but no internet access

I am currently on Genesis3D v6.1 ICS sense 3.6, everything is perfect except wifi. It could be turn on,it can successful search wifi, it can connect to any hot spot, and succesully get ip address, however the internet is not transmitting any data. I tried quite few different internet router (public and private ) I still cannot access internet through wifi. Any one has idea about what's going on?
Check what ip yer getting at home. I had a similar issue with wifi. Turns out it had some weird ip address. I assigned a static, rebooted and runs great...
It's most likely the router. Also, depending on Internet provider, the modem could be at fault. Comcast does something stupid where new devices connected are blocked or something. I have had other people's laptops connect to my wifi but be denied Internet access. Have to reset the modem and router or something stupid to connect the first time.

I used static ip at home, I am sure the ip address is correct, it is in the same ip domain as my computer. it is not a wired ip address.

I dont think it is the router, I tried different routers, and I also tried public hotspot. all the wifi I tried does not work. however, the IP address issued to my phone is totally good.
I have the same problem with every sense 3.6 ROM, and with Sense 4.0 or 3.0 (with GB) works perfectly...
Anyone knows how to solve it, please?
I had the same problem only when using a static IP address.
Changing the subnet mask to 32 (although 32 stands for 255.255.255.255 and is obviously wrong) worked for me

Wifi connected, no Internet

Hi!
I just got my new Honor 7 and I'm now experiencing a major flaw: I can connect to my WIFI, but won't get Internet connection.
Details:
- Wifi router supports 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, same error on both.
- IP Configuration (DNS, Gateway, DHCP) set to same as on Laptop and other android devices - all other devices working fine
- When connected to Wifi, Phone can be pinged by other devices & phone can ping other devices
- Phone cannot ping the router but is shown in it's "connected devices" list (correct MAC adress and everything)
- When opening a Wifi Hotspot from my Notebook (forwarding the router's wifi), Phone can connect to internet & ping router (everything works perfectly)
How is it possible that if my Notebook forwards the router's wifi everything works perfect but I can't get it working by connecting directly?
Hope any of you can help me with my problem!
Best regards
Do you use a MAC filter? Sounds like your router blocks the connection.
Gesendet von meinem PLK-L01 mit Tapatalk
Nope, no MAC-Filter in use!
As i said the device gets listet among all other (working) devices in the router's DHCP devices list...
Sounds like a router issue. Any way to check if WiFi works on somebody else's WiFi? Suggest maybe change channels that WiFi is transmitting on the router

The Wifi on the device seems to work fine:
Wifi Hotspot made by notebook works, Public Wifi at Shopping Mall worked fine .. Checking more Networks tomorrow!
\\EDIT: Both Networks at my University work fine.
Is your subnet mask 255.255.255.0 or something else for the gateway? This affects the network prefix length. Also check DNS, try static setting instead of dhcp and use Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

What is Gateway IP address and what is the Subnet mask?

Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 , according to that prefix length is set to 24.
Can't get DNS , nothing changes when changing to google!
I noticed that when I do an arp scan for the network, I can find other devices but not the router. On my old phone the router will show up on arp scan!
If router can see phone, then assign it static IP address, then add that IP address to DMZ - that way it's fully open. Sadly with routers it's a matter of narrowing down the problem with trial and error to resolve. You can also try temporarily deactivating firewall, and/or temporarily removing WiFi security to see if any difference.

Router can see phone! I have just added it's temporary IP as DMZ Host to check whether it solves the problem - and it does!
When the phone is set as DMZ Host in the router it can ping the router and connect to the internet (so far it seems like any other device).
Before setting the static IP and using this method permanently, I'd like to ask if this causes any changes to other users in the Network ? I am sharing the router with two other people using it for phones, tablets, IPTV etc.
I'm sorry I have no idea what DMZ is exactly.
Thank you very much for your help so far!
No problem. It's not really a permanent solution as it just opens up the IP address to all traffic. It does mean that the router is somehow blocking the phone in normal conditions. This could be for all sorts of reasons, firewall rules on the router, or port forwarding, or Mac filtering, or IP filtering, difficult to say. DMZ shouldn't affect the other users.
Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk
I'm not too sure about this router's configuration because it is a rather cheap NoName device provided by the ISP while at my home I'm used to AVM devices.
But I can nowhere spot any specific rules, there's not even a single port-forwarding set on the device. So I can't spot anything that could be blocking my phone :.
Anyway I have just removed my phone from DMZ, reconnected it to the Wifi and so far it's still working fine!
Even if I have to re-do this procedure every now and then after device reboots it shouldn't be a problem.
I have no Idea on how temporary setting it up as DMZ haschanged everything, but for now I'd consider the issue solved! I owe you one for this
Sorry that i have to reopen this old thread but i have the same problem with my HONOR 7.
I have Wifi Connection on my phone but the internet isnt working.
Curious is the fact that this problem only happens in my wifi at home and at my girlfriend (same router and telecommunication provider). At other wifi's everything is working fine.
I hope you can help me.

Tested all 10 channels but still no internet.
Also tested disabling the WPA/WPA2 PSK safety but same result.
Put it in DMZ, find DHCP table and see which IP adress phone get, put that adress in DMZ, DMZ settings are on the same place as NAT (usually). I think that phone cannot get DNS server from router because of some rule in firewall, but try to ping 8.8.8.8 from phone without setting up DMZ, if DNS is problem he should ping that adress but not be able to load page in browser....
@ MaxMonument94 can u connect to any other Wifi ? or all having same issue ?
The internet connection is working in any other network exept the network at my girlfriends place but she has the same router/provider as i have.
If there are any german users, we both got “telecolumbus“ as internet provider.
Now its just more curious.
After i entered the IP in DMZ my ookla speedtest on my phone showed perfect results.
Also the Chrome browser loaded pages and other apps (like 9GAG, Telegram, Whatsapp) worked for a while without any problem. But after a while they all got connection problems (page dont load, waiting for connection on telegram, GIFs dont load).
After that i started a new speedtest and the results were again quite good.
Then the same procedure again and again.
I have really no clue what kind of problem that is.
Btw: my mobile internet was disabled all the time to dont distort the results.
When that happens again, try to ping 8.8.8.8 and tell me what is output, remember ping it when it wont work....
I have pinged 8.8.8.8 with Android Terminal Emulator
The results in the screenshot.
