Yes,12 Hours of battery and its not fake.Thats the original battery that came with my SGA.
So,nobody can tell anything about this battery cuz its perfect.

It depends on your usage man..Just because you got it running 12hrs continuously doesnt mean that the ace has the best battery..I can make my battery last for more than 48hrs if i want

And too much people were asking about this.

You didn't tell us how long you are using?
how long the display is on??
Use 3G data? wifi?
I only got 5 hours. ~ 2 hours Display On surfing on wifi and light usage of apps.
lol
let us see usage then xD
You don't seem to be using 3g or wifi. No wonder you got 12 hours. This battery is crap, and we all know it.
It seriously depends on your usage I reaches 3days with my normal usage
I use 3G (I sometimes download stuff) and I can get 15h . Fail

My trick;
-Display always low
-No launcher
-Just a clock widget
-Simple background (black,a fabric, something like that).
And the apps that i dont need in the moment and run in background,i just freeze it with Titanium Backup.
I dont use 3G cuz' i dont need it.Im always connected to WI-FI at home.

Lol, so you unfreeze and freeze apps before and after you use them? And Wifi sucks up more battery than 3G since it always transferring data to keep the connection going. Don't believe me? Check out the Network Speed widget in the market

i dont think it is. been running it as stock with root thru zergrush (with data and wifi set to off with screen off and some bloat frozen or removed) and overnight it dropped by 4%. On .42 with the exact same variables set i would see a drop of around 10% to 15%. signal strength on wifi and vodafone seem to be stronger and more consistent too

just flashed this myself installed dooms v8 kernel, removed all the crap(didn't freeze uninstalled) gonna do a full charge before bed and see if the 20% drain i used to have is any better
sony must of recieved feedback about the baseband or the dev's found the problem from what i can see the only thing changed is the baseband

Well there is an update for the rom and kernel i think maybe once you update it it will improve the battery life.
Or you can try another kernel i personally use rage kernel and undervolt it so i get o good battery life. In my personal experience the interactivex governor it's the best one for bat life and so overclocking it's not exactly good for it so maybe you can restore to 1 ghz and install the v6 superscript.
But yeah the overall battery life of our phones is not great.

.69 is only for Germany, related to legal issues with Gmail, no bug fixes there.
Other regions is .62.
My idea: Check Settings-About the Phone-Battery Use
What uses the battery most there? Does any of the apps sync data all the time? Bluetooth/GPS turned on?

okay but which kinda of apps do yhu know gat auto-sync?
You can install cpu spy and let the phone overnight. Then check if your phone is entering into deep sleep.
Another thing that waste a lot of energy is checking the battery haha. The first day with my phone was like that, I was checking my phone battery percentage every time.
You can also try Easy Battery Saver to disable the Data every 15 minutes when the screen is off.
Another thing to remember is that our phone only have 1200 battery with a 1 Ghz phone, so our battery is very low for the hardware.
My phone last with moderate use with HSDPA always on like 14-16 hours.

These are the biggest battery users.
Also we can't help, if we don't know what you use your phone for. If you are gaming a lot, then of course, it won't last long. Share your Battery Usage screen and also, if you have root, then BetterBatteryStats info page of Partial Wakelocks, Alarms and Processes.
i put my lww every night on charger, i have about 2-3 hours on wifi a day and rest is on 3g+ calls and sms
Yup, agree with Someguy.. use BetterBatteryStats and figure out what's been running. Then get Startup Auditor to stop it from self starting or a Root app remover and disable it..

Yeah, that may be, but the thing with smartphones (not just android) a multitude of things can run in the background without you knowing. If something prevents the CPU from going into sleep mode all the time, your battery life is gonna suffer.
Check that first. Odds are it's something you installed. In which case, sure, a factory reset can fix the problem but it'll come back once you install that app again.. Get the point?

Don't use taskkillers at all.
Task killer kills the apps and if these start automatically again, it uses more power.
It is better to leave the app running than closing it and then it starting itself again. Android kills some apps or places them to cache if RAM is needed. Android doesn't work the same like Windows.
on those screenshots you have running
facebook sync--> put 1 hour sync
google talk --> shutdown
screen timeout--> 15 sec, and reduce brightnes to half
network--> try switch to 2g

Is completely normal with smartphones. The batteries do not last very long on smartphones.
ICS uses a lot of phone's CPU which results in more battery usage. You can do nothing but wait until SONY does something about it in next update!
Hey guys! Just wondering, if any anyone has heard something about an app, which lets me change the CPU mode, from Quad-, to tripple-, dual-, or singlecore mode...
I haven't found any, yet. (Yes, I have used the invention, called "Google" and consorts)
Thanks in advance for good answers!
BTW: If you are interested why: My battery lasts about 3-4 hours.... -.-
I'll post a screenshot in a moment. I constantly recharge, but not for long, because I am constantly occupied with all sorts of stuff, so it may seen like the batery life is good, on some parts of the graph...

The system's scheduler, pegasusq, automatically powers down cores when they are not needed.
Reducing the core count has an adverse effect since they need higher clock speeds to compensate and thus require more power.
Your issue most likely is data network and/or apps misbehaving.
Please install BetterBatteryStats (free APK here in XDA) and show it's output after such a 4-5hour cycle.
Did you by any chance disable Fast Dormancy or have you checked if your provider supports it?

No, Fast dormancy is enabled. I'm not yet all to used to the S III, but from my knowledge of my old Nexus, I'd say it's an app, like you also said. But I close my apps, I'll post a better stat, tommorrow. Then hopefully we'll get some results. If not better, I'll go completely stock, just with root...

CM9 (and afaik all other AOSP/AOKP-based ROM's) has a huge battery drain and other network-related issues (such as powering down the modem every other time)
Samsung-based ROM's should be fine

almost all apps can handle single core operation @ 1.4 ghz, so disabling cores will save you some battery. afaik you need a supporting kernel to achieve this. Im using siyah along with extweaks app, there you can select the number cores to use.
Is this what you're looking for? http://tinyurl.com/77fudrr

Hi,
There is nothing useless in XDA Forum and regarding issues of random reboots varun is looking into to fix it till then many of using app to fix use that....Don't say that useless coz if it was useless Dev's wouldnt have released any Rom...Remember always respect the Developers works has they put lot of efforts on it .....Its easy to comment like useless and all but you dont know how hard it is to fix issues/develop a Rom in practical....! never comment that its useless if u dont like it dont use it and dont comment simple
What app will I install to prevent the phone from a random reboot? Thanks.

you will have battery drain but not much.atleast you can get rid of the random reboots and enjoy the rom.I am a moderate user so i am getting around 15 - 16 hours of battery..

because it always keeps the cpu active, phone just doesn't goes into deep sleep,so that's how it affects the battery life,
but yes on the other side there wll be no reboots.
I was just wondering, then why not lower down CPU freq every time you sleep your phone? As in, lower it to most lowest freq. Yea it won't go to deep sleep but at least no random reboots and battery drain.
Since I don't have this MI3 as of now, you guys can try by installing SetCPU and do some profile settings.
