It seems like office depot and best buy have the transformer prime in stock! I just cancelled my order from amazon and now I'm going to get it a lot quicker. If any of you are facing the same problem with amazon not shipping this tablet quick enough, i would suggest you cancel your order and buy it from office depot or best buy!
I would keep the preorder from Amazon until you get a tracking number. I ordered one from best buy yesterday and then it got put on back order, sold out on the website, then became available again to order yet I have not received a tracking number or shipping notice.
BB still says coming soon..
Yes, I ordered from Best Buy yesterday at 1:30. Paid for express shipping ($42 for two). Was told "processes in 0-1 days" expected delivery of 12/30-1/3. It hasn't changed at all since then. I am suspicious that Best Buy has left that link up since yesterday. Why are they the only vendor that seems to have an unlimited supply? Very suspicious, especially considering that it's the special internal link that was set up for people who pre-ordered the champagne color and needed to switch to the gray. Once I have a tracking # I'll feel better!

You're trying to help people by telling them to sell their used and probably defective devices to people who actually want it at $200 mark-up. Not going to help anyone. Pass.

Yes the prices are going up for some reason. I've notice it on amazon too. $650 and up for the 32gb. Its crazy!! One seller for over $1000!!!

There have been some very real quality issues with this device. Particularly with the GPS (which MAY have turned out just to be a software issue, but may not be).
For you to write those issues off by saying that people were trolling is extremely irresponsible.
There has been some direct trolling, but the volume of the negative reviews have been from honest owners.
I appreciate the honest opinions here - it can be tough to fish out the trolls from the honest folk though.
Ah there are simply too many people that are looking for an ipad but buying the Prime, imho... And then there are many people that only look at the small things that arent perfect yet and not at the big picture.
I still have not found a big enough reason to cancel my preorder (ships mid january here) and there are so many people here trying really hard to ***** about this Tablet
On the other hand, if I was getting the TP mainly for GPS navigation in my car i wouldnt do it. But for the things i intend to do with it (surfing&youtube, watching movies, gaming _with a gamepad_ +emulators and text input), there's still nothing better and wont be anytime soon.

Well said. As for the people trying to make a quick buck by selling it on ebay good on you but if its defective that's just mean and PayPal could refund the item. Amazon is still the 12th and Ebuyer is 17 to 25 days..Ahhhhh
I opt'd to cancel my prime order...no gps and poor wifi performance... not for $600 so I canceled the dock and tablet order *sigh* am very disappointed...
I have one that I'm selling for $650 here locally on Craigslist in Eugene OR. I think I'm the only one in Eugene that has it. If I sell it I can buy a dock for my second Prime.

The wifi is fine and there is a GPS. You didnt even receive it, yet you assume that these issues exist in all TFPs, which they don't.

eBay has 9% final price fee on top of listing fee and then 3% from PayPal. sell it for $650 on eBay and then that leaves you at $572 and if you paid tax or shipping.. all your going to do is make eBay more money

Good thing I'm selling it on Craigslist. Its funny how some people are oblivious to the Prime. One guy laughed at me and sent me a link to what he thought was the same tablet. It was the tf101 lol. Asking me why he should buy mine and not the one he found for $400. So I of course educated him a bit and told him off.

Yea, so I ordered the TF201-DOCK for $160.18 and went to Best Buy to pick it up, once I got home I realized that BB gave me a actual TF201 prime and not the dock.
If I do not return the tablet can BB go after me for theft even though they made the mistake?

I was thinking the same thing but eventually I figure BB will know its missing and most likely report its serial number stolen, and I'm sure ASUS keeps track of IPs patching with Serial Numbers etc.

Something similar happened to me months ago. I went to BB to price match the 32gb TF101 for $399 and they ended up giving me the dock and tablet combo for that price. Nothing happened, I don't think they even realized their mistake. They loose or misplace so much inventory that I would not worry about them coming after you. Then again there is always that first time lol. Seriously though, I wouldn't worry.
I don't think it is necessarily theft, but what if you need to use the warranty? Does the receipt say it's the dock or the tablet? Something to think about: What if the person that accidentally gave you the tablet loses their job over it? I would feel guilty keeping it. Now, if your receipt shows a tablet sold to you at the dock's price then I wouldn't worry about. Besides, that's probably close to what they pay for it and the remainder is most likely mark-up.

Actually it is theft. Just like if a bank accidentally puts a million dollars in your bank account. Then you use it up. They eventually find out and tell you to return it. But you don't have OG anymore. So they can easily file a police report and sue you. Because you knew it wasn't your money although it was the banks mistake.

What if you join a league of assassins and it shows up in your account the next day then disappears a few days later after you kill the leader of the league which happens to look like Morgan Freeman? Could you report it as stolen then since its not in your account anymore?
as a first thing, ask admin to delete this thread.
Then wait for some time and do not use it for a while...you still can state you have not opened a package for some, let's say "private" reasons.
I expect you already have another prime if you wanted to order a dock, right?

There is another point of view to that: Chances are bigger to trace the fault back to that particular person if he returns the tablet.
So, returning the tablet might end up in getting this person fired. How´s that for your conscience?
Meh I have decided to return it, I have a prime, a ipad2 and a a500 so I am good in the tablet dept. TBH three people failed, 1) the person who brought the product to the delivery counter. 2) The person who gave it to me. 3) The security guy at the door who inspected my receipt and item. I did not discover the error until I went to open my dock. Whatever BB decides to do to the employees is their business, myself I will have a clean conscience.

From having worked in retail, I know things like this are insignificant in the scheme of stock control.
It is technically theft, but just wait one calendar month (most retail places do stock control monthly). If it's all ok by then, keep it.
Besides, it's not as if they're going to contact every BB Prime customer and ask if they got given a tablet instead of a dock. How would they ever know it was you?

I returned it and got my dock. Apparently they knew it was missing as they do not carry the prime and it was a ship to store order for some other guy who tried to pick it up last night before closing hours.
The employee in receiving realized he may have given the wrong item to someone so I assume they would of tracked down that the dock I bought was signed for and never picked up and put 2+2 together.
The manager was very thankful, my conscience is clear however unfortunately I think 2 people lost their jobs, after calling them upfront the manager told them to "go home".
Remember the Prime you could have kept the next time you see the unemployment rate bump up. jk

The bank account comparison is really off because that is NOT your money and you did nothing to deserve it.
In the case of the store, you went to the store, you gave them money for the product you ordered, and then you accepted what they gave you. You did not intend to fault an employee into giving you a tablet for $160. If a customer unknowingly received a product that was valued-less than the product they ordered (that is retail, after all), then would you consider it theft by the employee/store? Would the mistake by the employee be any less severe?
No, either way you look at it, their stock levels for both products would've been off and that would be a fault of that employee/store. And if the store had to pinpoint where the fault occurred, the repercussions for that employee would probably be the same as if you (the customer) brought back a mislabeled/misplaced product.
There would be no conscience gain for me.
It's a question of moral and ethic...
Hello everyone Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forums.
I just bought the Samsung Note so now I am trying to sell my unlocked SGS2 on Ebay. I have the charger, extra battery, and unlock code for device (in case person ever has to do a master reset). Of course its refurbished 9 has been used for 2 months) but is in good condition despite a barely noticeable, minor scratch on back cover (see pic).
What is a fair/good asking price?
I'd recommend looking at auctions on there that have already ended and get a good idea from that. That's the best way I've found to determine current value of specific items on there.
How about you post in the classified section instead of trying to sneak your ad in where it doesn't belong?

I'm thinking about buying a different brand tablet. My latest prime has worked well since I received it. It is about my 5th model. Has always been in a case and has always performed good. To tell you the truth, I mostly use it for Netflix and some web browsing.
It will come with a case. Gray. Small stylus from Caseen and original box. It was purchased for $499 and will sell for $400. Hundred bucks off isn't bad. If you are interested please ask. Any questions will be honored. Also comes with the GPS dongle.
