As you guys know the camera is pretty dark and doesn't match the colors in reality.
A common solution is to increase the exposure, but problem is, the camera loses its settings on every exit.
Is there a solution to keep these settings permanently?

I have a rooted stock T959 and my backlight fluctuates bright to dim even when charging. I have SetCPU installed along with rom manager and clockworkmod. Someone help this fluttering is really annoying

Its most likely changing because its changing for the light conditions. Go to settings. Sound and display. Scroll to brightness and uncheck auto brightness. It should stop.

Thanks I feel dumb to have missed something so obvious. It slurred my mind.

Not picking on anyone, but just to clear up the terminology ...
The vibrant does not have a "Backlight", it has brightness ..
AMOLED pixels are self illuminating , hence no need for a backlight ...
That's what I meant

I noticed that the front camera inverts images when taking still photos (like looking in a mirror, text is screwed up). Is there an option to change this in the camera settings that I overlooked?

Is there any good camera apps for the myTouch running an AOSP rom (CM7)?
I mean, the stock is fine, but I want to be able to focus on items like on the stock rom, and or adjust the iso values in the preview. Anything? Could be either free or paid, I'm willing to drop about $3 for a good app that I know will work perfectly fine like the stock rom.
I use Vignette a lot. Can do a lot of cool effects and such. I also use Pudding Camera and I think it has the best camera quality out of all the apps but its all in Korean so its kinda hard to figure out all the settings.
I use Vignette and Camera 360

Is there a way to remap the camera button from default camera to whatever alternative (e.g. 360camera), in similar fashion like genius button remapping?

Is there a way to change the default gallery app so the default one doesn't open from the camera every time? When I disable the stock gallery app the camera force closes when you go to view pics. Pretty lame because the stock app lags like ****.
Bump. I can't be the only one who wants this
use a different camera app as well. the stock one is samsung and preview button is auto linked to samsung gallery

My question is very short is it possible to prevent camera app to start automatically rotating into landscape with just the icons adjusting to portrait/landscape view? I find this real annoying because not just the pop ups are always in landscape but also it does not start or close smoothly and by the way it looks ugly;
so is it be possible to make the camera start as other apps in that mode I actually hold my phone?

Try this.
Good idea, but does not change anything because what i asked for is a change in the camera app itself will make a video later to show what i mean but nevertheless thanks for the link
