The other thread on thus was closed, but I would still like some opinions on favorite roms. I came from the OG Evo, I used Mik's roms forevever. Right now I'm just running stock rooted. I was thinking about flashing nocturnals adrenaline. Just curious what you guys like

Warm TwoPointThree by Myn is really awesome. ROM is simply stable, and has a nice theme to it.
Warm TwoPointThree by Joelz is a Sense 3.5 port, and that one is just as awesome. It just has a few bugs that keep it from being perfect.
Mik has a Sense 3.5 ROM that is like JoelZ's ROM, but it is stock, and has a custom tweaks option that presents you a lot of tweaks, lol.
We have Team Nocturnal, which is what you mentioned. I believe they have around three awesome ROMs in the Dev section. I believe one is Sense with the Xperia launcher, and the other is stock Sense, but with performance tweaks. I can't think of the other :'(
MIUI is the most stable AOSP ROM for the EVO right now, and it is pretty awesome. The theme engine is amazing, and the ROM has like two things wrong with it. No 4G and 3D. Other than that, it's awesome.
Then we have CleanROM, which is pretty awesome. There's like three versions of it. Stripped Stock ROM, a stripped Sense ROM, and. Developer Edition ROM that is tweaked for speed.
There are many many amazing ROM's available, and these were some out of the many. We also have magnificent themers with us. We have Team D3rp, Fowenati, thesparky007, and Mayfield. We also have SteelH :-D
Those are a few out of the many. We also have one AWESOME kernel Dev. Chad Goodman. Well not one, but multiple. We also have Ziggy, and Cayniarb. Chad is just awesomesauce though. Visit development, and enjoy yourself
Yea I used myn's warm 2.2 for while on my og evo, it was nice. I tried miui a few times, too many little bugs for me. I like stock looking roms so I may give mik a try, maybe nocturnal, not sure yet. Thanks for the input

Hi Fascinate people!
I am from the Epic forum and am helping a friend root and choose an ext4 based rom with all the poop stripped off. I keep looking through your dev section and notice it's kind of a toss-up between Community and Evil. Which do you prefer or is there a better one than those? I use Syndicate Rom Frozen and would like to get her one that behaves similarly so I can be helpful if things get confusing as she learns. Thanks!
You will find infinite opinions on which is better. Both are awesome and very stable. There might be a few more theming options for the com rom, but that's just personal taste. I might start on the com rom, just to see, but like I said, both are great.

Thanks, i'll hit you up when I have thanks again. What's the main x difference between the two?
Sent from my armed and operational battle station.
Both are TouchWiz based Froyo builds. Both are debloated/debinged/deodexed.
The community rom incorporates TSM parts (team sbrissenmod) into their ROMS, which is a menu in settings with all kinds of rooted and non-rooted goodies (see the TSM thread in themes/mods). This rom is supported by a group of developers (team sbrissen)
Evil Fascinate is maintained by nitroglycerine33, and is equally awesome in terms of both stability and features. His previous builds have included tsm parts (3.5.1 included it) But in an effort to maintain the distinctiveness of EF, 3.6 removed it. It contains numerous under the hood tweaks and a dark red/black theme, although there are a lot of alternate themes available in the OP.
Try 'em both!
I rooted my Evo 3d last week i didnt wanna add any custom ROMbut now i changed my mind... and im just wondering out of all those Great Looking Roms witch one could be the best???

Everybody looks for different things and holds different features as priorities or essentials for themselves.
I think the best approach is to get yourself all setup to be able to flash/load different ROMs and be able to test them out. The first one you try might be your favorite, or the 5th. Really hard to say.
If you take some time and read through each ROM OP, you'll see what they emphasize for features and how often they update/make changes/improvements.
Also, once you are setup and familiar with the flashing ROM process, it should become quite simple to move between ROMs gaining valuable personal experience.
If you have any questions around the logistics, let us know! Hope that helps! Welcome to the world of a rooted Android!

These are two of the greatest different in ROMs, mainly due to their base. The sense ROMs are all based on HTC's stock sense ROM code and the AOSP ROMs are all based on Google's straight plain AOSP code.
Quick brief description .. to get a full range of ROMs, probably best to try at least one of each to see the difference. Most popular AOSP ROM is usually CM7. I'm not sure what the most popular custom Sense ROM .. dev board should show ..
Sense! i just love the widgets and all that fancy stuff from HTC

I like infected eternity roms. I just flashed the update which is 1.4.2. Great so far, but the last couple releases have been right on for me. Basicly themed stock but has a infected tweak section in settings for change a few things. Also spot hotspot is enabled. I run stock kernal and get greqt speed and battery. Quad scores for me can hit 3000 linpak 75ish. Has been my daily driver for awhile because i cant do with sense.

Just wondering what's the beat aosp or senseless rom out there. I'm loking for something that is smooth, stable, and no bugs.

MIUI is very smooth but no 4g/3d in aosp roms.
CM7 is good to but laggy(might have been fixed as i never tried newer versions)
Nocturnal Xplod has Sony Xperia's UI and apps.
It all depends on user preference. You will always get a various of responses with this question because what works for some might not work for others. I'd recommend setting some time aside to browse and read the development section. Pick a rom and see if it has the features that your looking for in a rom. Then read the user's feedback to get an idea of how the rom is doing for most of the users that are currently running the rom. This IMO is your best option. Read.,read, read and then make a nandroid backup and run which ever rom you chose and see how it performs for you. Hope this helps.
""Shooter on Deck""
I've used SenselessROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198099. I have had no problems at all with it. It's just the stock rom with sense removed. Because of that the 3D features and things like that will still work unlike some other roms.
Looking for a CDMA rom for the 3D with working 4g & Camera/Camcorder and has the Bliss Launcher as an option.
You can't imagine how many ROM's I've flashed in the past week. I usually flash 2 ROM'S a day since I beta test for several Dev's.
I thought there was an Olympus ROM but I guess I was wrong, then I thought I had one from Virus, but learned that was for the EVO.
If you happen to know of one, you'd recommend I'd appreciate it.
If you are a DEV and would like to make $20 and build me a ROM; get at me.
you do realize the bliss launcher is stock with any 3.5 ROM right? well technically it is anyway. however, it says htc sense!
There are no sense 3.5 ROM's with working 4g that I am aware of, if there are, they do not have the Bliss Launcher....
Which is why I posted this Question.

Looking for a good stable red themed rom or red theme modification you can flash to any rom with build 2.17 or newer? I currently have the Inbreded rom from Steal 25 but been looking to get into the newer build based roms since I've heard a lot of improvements especially on the battery life. Any suggestions? Or are the Evo 3d golden days coming to an end?

The days of evo 3d maybe over in sprints and HTC's eyes but certainly xda has not turned its back on the EVO 3d as devs are continuing to develop new roms, improve on older ones and create all kinds of themes, mods, and hacks to make a non rooted EVO 4g LTE user envious. Are you still on gb? S-on unlocked? If so here's a quick and easy guide from the crazy mind of ramjet that will get you ics stock with s-off, ready to flash until you **** your pants http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889438 after you do that. I recommend roms like meanrom ics or common sense ics to just to get you started as they roms are highly stable, fast and highly customizable. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645211 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838308. Now since you are looking for a red theme I recommend the red blend theme from team 420 which you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641846. I recommend the red lexury ics sense3d skin with the red blend theme. It compliments it really well. You can find that here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880691. There you go. That should make you feel all tingly inside. Like sitting santa's lap lol.
Please hit the thank you button if I helped you and don't forget to thank ramjet for his masterpiece guide. It won't hurt at all and its free
Hell yeah
Thanks man. Will most definitely look into this. Right now I'm running Steal 25's Inbreded Rom which is a Ice Cream based off the 1.13 build. And the evo is on S-ON. With a unlock bootloader. I been using 4ext control app and flash gui to flash both rom's and kernels since my phone becomes a piece of brick when going into recovery trying to flash from there. I'm a newby to all of this, I started rooting my phones with the 1st Evo then took off with both the galaxy phones, motorola photon and now lastly the evo 3d. Fell in love with the 3d when I came across Steal 25's rom and stayed there but he has now moved onto developed roms only for the Evo LTE. I tried the Mean rom but was not convinced with speed. And Idk really how to customize internally but ill study to do so. These new LTE phones aren't worth renewing a contract, spending more mullah and using lte service that probably only works in the sprint store lol. But I appreciate very much the kick ass tips.
You could also try the Viper3D rom with the sense 4 AIO red framework mod (link in my signature)
Quite nice actually
