I'm developing a new kernel for the Dell Streak 7, and I am curious with the new official ICS update, what kernel version is on the Transformer Prime with ICS (official).
Thanks!
Kernel version 2.6.39.4

I am running freeX10-beta4_zdzihu on my x10i with android version 2.2.1, baseband version 2.1.54 and kernel version 2.6.29.
How do I upgrade it to gingerbread, preferably custom rom?
I saw upgrade procedure where requirement is stock SE 2.3.x fw.
But I am looking for upgrade from custom rom freex10.

I like to use FreeXperia Rom. My baseband is 2.1.54. I have not found a FreeXperia ROM for my baseband yet.
As far as I know there is no Gingerbread ROM that is running everything as FreeX10 does.
The developers are waiting for the open source stuff to be released by Sony Ericsson to complete their ROMs, it should be available in a couple of weeks after has released it, they already have working ROMs that lack some functions.
EDIT: Our friend zdzihu did it again!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208145
Hi All
Does anyone know of a working Kernel out atm for 4.0.4 Samsung roms as I need a kernel to release my ROM and since Mr. Siyah got his S3 he seems to have neglected the S2 community as his kernels are getting more unstable with every release
Sad though and I would have preferred to stay with Siyah for Portal Rom but is there anything out currently that's working with the new 4.0.4 roms that's not the default stock kernel and cause the wipe brick?
Been looking for days but maybe missed something.

My prime has the standard JB rom with TWRP and SuperU. I am trying to flask a custom rom (tried both CM10 & Baked Blackbean 6) but even after trying all the wipe options prior to the flash I still cannot get the Prime to boot past the first Asus screen. I am able to restore via TWRP and that boots fine. Any ideas?

Are you using the newest version of TWRP. I know they edited it a while back because android 4.2.1 uses multiple profiles and the roms you have tested are both based on 4.2.1 and they suggest using the newest TWRP.

Yes I am using the latest TWRP I could find for the TF201 from their website. Out of interest I thought both CM10 and Blackbean 6 were Android 4.1.1 and only CM10.1 and Blackbean 7 were the latest 4.2.1 version?
PS Thanks for the quick response!

Ahh, My bad. I just instantly thought you was using the latest versions of them roms and they are on 4.2.1. I don't know the version numbers.. doh
The roms you are trying, have you checked what bootloader they are based on?
If they are based on the ICS bootloader which I know cm10 was then they will not work on your prime anyway because you are already on jellybean bootloader.

I just assumed as they were JB based they would be JB bootloaders.....silly me! Thanks for the tip. Do you know of any good custom roms for the TF201 that are definately JB Bootloader based?
Added Note:
Just checked and you are correct they are both ICS based bootloader based!!
Hi all! I have a question.
Is it possible to downgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.0.4 with no problems?
System version: 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US
Kernel version: 3.0.8-gbacb1cf [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 1 20:59:31 CST 2013.
Build number: 9.8.2O-72_VZW-16
Rooted
Bootloader: Locked
Or i can flash any custom ROM using BMM or SS without downgrading and having any problems? I've read, that flashing another ROM with another kernel will cause some trouble.
And how to unlock bootloader?
Sorry if there was a similar thread!

Well, unlock boooader is not possible on this device. If you already flashed JB.xml via RSD Lite were isn't any downgrade sollution to ICS. You can flash Custom ROM via BMM without problems. Your ROM still can be JB, no need of downgrade to ICS. These ROMs seems to be so far stable for me.

Oh, sorry, i have one more question.
Can i flash custom kernel on this stock ROM?
Or i can flash it on custom ROM installed via BMM or SS?

I flashed and rooted Jelly Bean on my droid razr, that came with ICS, using DROID_RAZR_Utility_Jellybean_XT912_WinMacLin.zip. The Jelly Bean 4g and Wifi Radios are terrible compared to the Ice Cream Sandwich radios. So, I want to go back to ICS. Is this possible? Google gives kind of vague answers. If not, could you recommend JB custom roms with a good 4g radio? My phone is my only source of my internet.

There's only one custom kernel,JBX, available for RAZRs (AFAIK), and it is not compatible with stock ROM. You need a kexec based ROM for JBX kernel.
The latest configuration at present is KitKat ROM+JBX.

Plain answer, No, you Cannot downgrade. As for the custom ROMs, they've been working very good with LTE. You can try the CM 10.2.1 stable if you want to stick with JB.
