am going mad with my st15i,it got dead i tried to boot in safe mode at that time my fw ver was .377,later i tried to update it using seus, updating was success but phone is still dead
later i tried using wotan server with .42 fw its givig some error at the end like data not recieved at the time of flashing main(my net speed is low will it affect downloading from wotan server)
at last i tried flash tool with .62 fw it says flashing but not ending
hey guys what may be the reason behind bricking and failure in flashing?
i dont know how to install adb driver(already installed usb driver and flash tool driver,in above cases my phone was detected so i there any roll for adb driver)
am noob to android,i even dont know whats boot loader
hope xperts can provide me helping my phone un brick

Wotan server is good if you have rock solid internet.. if your internet always behave inconsistently you need ti use flashtool.

try using the pc companion . connect ur phone to pc and start pc companion go to update section and click on Repair phone. That might do it.

Hi Guys, please help me! I deleted some systemfile, now I can't boot up my MINI PRO, it stuck at Sony Ericsson boot animation. I know I should reflash using flashtool... the problem is, flashtool requires "Unknown sources" + "USB Debugging" enabled, and this is not the case. What can I do now?
Try to plug in ur device wen it says to plug in while flashing it works try 2_3 tyms it will work!!

When flashtool can't flash device or break in the middle of flashing it is due to usb drivers of your computer, and no way you can flash your device no matter if usb debbuging is off or on. In that case you must use other computer with different chipset and different usb drivers. I think AMD chipsets cause this kind of problems.
But remember SE original program!! It always work, althought they say: I had problems when I flashed by first time a custom rom with the boot.img, and I used the program with the unlocke bootloader like 6 times, and nothing bad happened. Believe me!

I was flashing just a new kernal to try another rom and my phone aborted the installation of the rom then I tried to reboot it but the screen stayed blank so I tried to reflash to stock and still blank screen. I think she finally bit the dust...anything else I should try? (I have no insurance and the warranty was voided long ago) Buy a new phone probably...

Yup. With SEUS, just plug the phone in and follow the prompts
found repair option in pc companion but not in seus...but either way nothing helped or worked. It said my phone was up to date on seus and pc companion said, after selecting the repair option, that there was no update for my phone at this time???????????? I am f'd, right?

if you don't know how.. i'll teach you.. go to pc companion.. and click on support zone, and click on repair phone.. and it will says personal data will be lost, just click continue.. then you choose your phone and follow the instructions.. (you need the latest pc companion for this to work )

I finally fixed it! I had flashed the x10a stock ftf and I needed the x10i ftf even though I have an x10a, I believe that I have to use the x10i ftf now after using x10i roms that must have switched my build.prop. I had done this before but I didn't have the problems reflashing it like I did this time. Thanks for everyone's help!
I had the same Issue and i Used the Flash tool to fix the issue.
People are making the mistake of connecting the phone at the start when they launch pc conpanion.

All the firmware files on these threads are linked to Megaupload which was shut down,

PC compainion says unable to repair phone. and i cant use it if i cant get into OS.
idk what SEUS is... but ill look it up... meanwhile, what else could i try?

SEUS is sony update service..search for it in google.
just download a firmware from the link I gave above.
Unzip the file to get ftf file.
flash it via flashtool. Should work

I experienced the same thing. My phone would automatically start into the Sony Ericsson white logo after inserting the battery in it. Just open PC Companion then go to support zone -> Update software. It can't pick up your phone then (Says no phone connected) then it gives u a dialog box where you can click 'Repair Phone'. Click and follow the steps
guys my Xperia u is rebooting continously ..in boot it goes upto lock screen and then again restarts...
the problem araises due to factory reset went wrong
i selected erase everything my phone got switched off accedentally
and when i restart the phone it gives sony logo and xperia logo some time and goto the lock screen and stuck and then restarts
guss please help me!!!

download flashtool
download stock ICS ftf file from the dev section
use flashtool to flash the stock
and search for all of them you will get tuts for each......

hey i'm having the same problem PLEASE HELP! have you ever gotten it fixed?
Forget PCC, it's useless. Just follow Dr Droid's tutorial. It saved my phone last year, and after flashing the stock rom from the link he provided, my phone was at it's best. No crashes, no sudden restarts.
if flashtool doesn't detect your phone, try reinstalling the driver. it's included with flashtool.
