Are the downloads that make up Community ROM flashed w/Odin or sent to phone via usb to sdcard and flashed w/CWM? Phone is currently at ED01, can I simply flash Community ROM or must I go back to stock?
Thanks in advance for your help!
If your rooted and have CWM installed simply boot to recovery and wipe data/cache and dalvik cache and flash the rom via recovery. Download the rom via your phone to your sdcard.

Try to update cmw recovery to the latest one. Just update it threw rom manager and make sure you pick the right phone and carrier in the list.
I tried doing so,bur i only get like 7 phones from that list

You'll need to flash CM9 first, then the options will show up. Its looking for a specific name in your build.prop, and CM9 or AOKP should get it to show up.
Tried doing cm9 does not work also

after you flash CWM recovery.
did you wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache?
wiping those before flashing new rom usually solve the problem.
i usually wipe data/factory reset too but doesn't require
i suggest you back up your un-corrupted efs folder contain your IMEI first before you flash anything.
dont be like me. =)

What root method did you use? Rom manager does not play well with many cwm included in kernels, like cf root. Better use cwm and uninstall rom manager to check if that's the case

I used a cf root kernal to root my phone, but i installed cwm from rom manager.

Did your cf root kernel already have cwm?

No it didnt have cwm

Try changing kernel to one with cwm like siyah(ICS) or speed mod(GB) then create a backup from recovery? If you do change kernel remember to wipe cache and dalvik cache!

Where can i find these kernels, and how can i wipe the cache and dalvik cache?

Are you on ice cream sandwich or gingerbread? And cache and dalvik cache can be wiped from recovery:
In recover it should say 'wipe cache partition' and then go to advanced and select wipe cache partition.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
No, that removes root, use a USB jig to get rid of it or you can use triangle away app by chain fire

It is rooted. I have tried 2 different kernels if ElementalX and Bulletproof. I have also held the power button on during boot up.

I did. Everything works after a restore to stock, I just can't get any kernels installed without creating a boot loop.
