[Q] headphone jack loose? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Has anyone else noticed a problem with the headphone jack on the prime? My headphones will pull out way to easily. Thought it was the headphones at first but have tried numerous pair. And is it just me or do they not seem to plugin all the way due to the curvature on the sides?

No problems here

No problems here either.

No problems here, have used multiple headphones, a and also speakers

From the back of the prime, it looks like they're not all the way in, but it makes a full connection on the other side of the jack, so no worries there.

Anyone having issues with their headphone jack?

Anyone having issues with their headphone jacks? I noticed on my phone that if I wiggle my headphone while in the phone a tad bit it cuts out the music. Also when using a wired headset I was having issues too.
I bought this at Radioshack, do I go to them for an exchange or to Sprint?
Take it back to RadioShack
Well I exchanged it and still having issues. Sometimes when I hook up external speakers the Evo sees it as headphones or headphones with mic. Sometimes the tracks skip by themselves. Anyone having issues?

Already Addressed.
Thanks for the information. I did a search for headphones and didn't come up with much.
There's also a longer thread, but I can't find it. There under music/audio. It's so F-ING annoying driving and looking down at my phone saying really lol

Hiss through audio out jack?

Hey all, I received my Inc4G Monday and I am a really enjoying this phone, and but I get an annoying hiss through wired ear buds or wired headphones... the hiss is less if I disable beats audio. Does anyone else have this issue? Do I need to buy beats ear buds to filter the hiss?
Thanks for any insight.

I have the hiss also when I use an audio cable in my car. It seems like a ground loop or some sort of induction issue cause when I move the wire, the hiss disappears. Would love to solve it, really annoying.
Happened to me to but on an ipod touch

Could be a bad cable or audio jack if the noise goes away with cable movement. If you suspect a ground loop you need an isolator along the lines of this...

Audio jack issue

Hey,
So I got a new pair of headphones today (Shure Se215's) and I have a major issue with them connecting to my Galaxy sII.
The headphones work perfectly in other devices and I have never had any trouble with other headphones in my own phone.
However with these new headphones the jack seems dodgy. It only gives full sound (not switching between mono and stereo, just tinny as ****) when on the right angle. So right now I cant use them together without constantly holding the cable in the right position.
One similar thing which I have noticed is that connecting an AUX cable has always been dodgy too. The phone will not pick up that it is plugged into an aux cable (Car or home stereos) until I wiggle and jam it in and even then it takes a few seconds if it works at all.
Any help would be great! I have done a lot of searching on here and around the web and haven't found any issues quite the same as mine.
I'm not scared to open up the phone and play with hardware if people think it is necessary.
Cheers
Dodgy audio jack, what more is there to say?
Fix under warranty or take to phone shop.

Buy a new part online and do it yourself. I did it for mine when the vibrating module died, it was ridiculously easy and I'd never done anything like that before.

Hardware Issue:Headphones?-Please Help!

A few days ago i noticed strange issue on my SXS.It was tipical day for me,after schoole lay down in bed put headphones, and enjoy. And it was ok,until i moved my phone.Music suddenly stoped. So i yought i accidentally somehow pressed stop. But after I moved my phone again, same problem.Than I wondered wtf i haven't touched any of the phones buttons and it stopped...So searching for the factor that causes this problem,i found it.Every time i move my headset jack a little bit,the music stops, like i plugged my headphones off and i didn't.So anyone has thos problem?I don't get it,is it up to the headphones or jack? It's frustrating,i must be like a statue so i can listen the music!

Can't you just try different headphones?
Gesendet von meinem LT26i
It's just the connection. The lead I use to connect to my stereo is the same, but my earphones are just fine.
I don't believe it's a problem with the phone hardware.
Just out of interest do you use a case? I only ask because my connection is more sensitive if I have the case on. I looked and the case actually slightly gets in the way and the jack is not quite so deep, but earphones are still fine.

Try another headphone before assuming its the jack
You can also try cleaning the jack, see if that helps

3.5 mm jack issue

Yesterday everything was working fine with the 3.5 mm jack, I'd plug in and play away.
Today when I plug into the 3.5 mm jack, I have the phone turned all the way up and have to turn my car speakers up all the way to hear anything. The back speaker works fine, I run CM 11, already cleared cash to see if that would fix the issue, done some internet searching, now I'm here.
Any advice or is the phone just going dead?
Not water damage, no dropping, always in OtterBox Defender, I'm at a loss, love the phone.
Hmm maybe your car speakers are going bad? I'm guessing your using and aux port or and tape player with a Jack connected to it? Maybe it those items.
