[Q] quick unlock question - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi guys, got a very quick question that I was hoping someone could answer. My uncle bought a galaxy ace from o2 uk a few days ago. I've managed to root and flash a new rom to the phone and now need to unlock it for him.
I've managed to get the unlock code by following a guide from here but the phone doesn't actually ask for the unlock code. I've read that flashing a stock rom with odin will domake the phone ask for it but i'm not too sure in the procedure. Does anybody know of a custom rom that will ask for the unlock code?
Cheers

Galaxy Ace with Orange in Spain

Hi to all!
A friend have the Galaxy Ace, from Orange in Spain. I want to unlock it and root it to flash an stock or CyanogenMod.
I see that SuperOneClick can root the device, but I don't know if I can unlock the net restriction to unlock it.
Any clue to make this possible?
Thanks !!!
You may head over to jcmaster's unlocking tutorial but be warned, anything to do with unlocking may turn the phone into a useless doorstopper.
Now I have rooted with SuperOneClick. Now I need to unlock the SIM Lock of Orange. I need it to flash a new version of stock firmware?
By Kies, I can't update the phone.

[Q] unlocking sim

Hello
i recived SGSII for xmas, but i guess it is locked for Orange because phone wants some network code
so is flash costom rom solution or do i need any other instruction?
many thanks
You will still have to run a app to unlock the phone or one to get to code.
I suggest this one it works on more phones then the code ones and since it doesn't give codes so you can't type them wrong.

works well

[Q] Factory unlock and post unlock code.

Hi all,
The S3 is my first Android phone, so sorry if the question is redundant or dumb. But i couldn't find any clear info on the subject.
I bought a S3 locked under a promotion to unlock after 2 days with a code that was provided by the carrier, and now i have the
phone unlocked and using a SIM from another carrier.
While reading through the wanam lite thread, i noticed that the kind of unlock i have might not be considered a factory unlock.
My question is if can i flash my phone with a customized Rom (like wanam) and still retain the unlocked state? This kind of unlock is permanent?
Or i will brick my phone?
Thanks

Newbie question

Hi all ,
quick question for the experienced , got an s3 and have been installing roms etc and working fine, however i paid a local shop to unlock stock rom 4.3, as they couldn't do it on a custom rom, so i flashed it back to stock with kies and its working perfect
my question is , i wanna flash to a custom rom(archidroid), but i worried that i may lose my carrier unlock , the shop used some kind of box to unlock it ??
so if i flash it , what should i not do and what should i do to not lose the carrier unlock , the phone is rooted and unlocked on stock 4.3,
any help would be greatly appreciated
The carrier unlock is permanent. You cannot relock it.
I wish I stole my HTC M9.
