Just a warning: install with caution Adobe Flash Player 10.3 apk. I read somewhere else on how to properly install Adobe Flash Players on SGA. Follow instructions to the letter. I read about this correct procedures when I already encountered problems with my SGA. Too late... I already spent days on how to bring back the glory of my SGA.

Our ARM v6 doesn't support flash yet. If it could we would see flash 10.1 in the Android Market for Android 2.2+. Don't worry qcomm and Adobe are working to support older ARM v6 processor
Have a look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155920
It works for me and my [email protected]

As far as I know there is no way to get flash working on Android 2.1 with an ARMv6 processor. I have 2.3 now and there's no flash too.

Andro-id is customized version of gingerbread 2.3.4 and is better than gingerbread. And it also comes pre-rooted and is more flexible than official gingerberead.
Just flash a froyo rom for your region/area phone from http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-s5570.htm and flash it using odin one package option. If you have installed any custom recovery like CWM recovery, doing so will replace the custom recovery with stock recovery.
I think Andro-id 3.2 is better than gingerbread. but, cm7 is even more better than andro-id. THe diffrence however is cm7 looks and is completeley diffrent from gingerbread but andro-id looks similar and has similar functions to gingerbread... CM7 is very much customizable comes prerooted and can be overclocked.

Cwm for gts5570 currently doesn't support rfs so you can't backup froyo via cwm at the moment . But yiy can find froyo firmware for your region samfirmware.com download from there and flash using Odin. Where are you from? If you wanting will give the link to download froyo for your Tom. Also include the info you get when you dial *#1234#* in your dialer ( ie PDA version and baseband)

my question was if I can backup rom stock, because I would try to flash a custom rom (andro-id)... but if something goes wrong, or that rom doesn't like me, how can I go back to the original one?
Try searching for your rom on samfirmware.com . If you are able to find one you can flash it from odin to go back tp stock rom after upgrading to custom rom....

If you don't find try to google for your roms backup ...

I wait for cyanogen final realease because he is still buggy
and one more question .... When i was on cyanogen mod7 for samsung galaxy mini i saw it uses only 50-60mb ram IS THAT REALLY ??!!!!
The ram consumed depend on how many apps and services you install.. May be a clean and fresh boot uses about 60 mb but when you go on installing apps the size increases.

[Q] [HELP] Odin 4.38 and .ops file download?/SOLVED

Hi guys,
sorry for my noob questions, but...
After a thousand times of flashing custom ROM's i decided to try the newest 2.3.6 stock ROM S5830DDKQ8. And I realized that... I forgot all procedure to do this. I read EmoBoiix3's tutorial and remembered, but I've found few problem, and I prefer to ask before flash my phone:
- where I can download ODIN 4.38, since megaupload is dead? (I google it, but... i'm not sure if the returned results for ODIN 4.38 are safe enough...)
- where I can download .ops file, since samfirmware is gone, and I didn't saw it anywhere in the sammobile.com? And I can't remember do I need .ops file since DDKQ8 is one package ROM?
- currently I'm with Maclaws CM9 beta 5. I installed KIES just to make sure that my PC has got all needed Samsung drivers. And when trying to connect with KIES it always says that this is impossible. It's normal as long as I remember for custom ROM's and Cyanogenmod especialy, right?
- something that I should do before try to flash stock ROM after... 6 months of using custom ROM's?
Thanks in advance, and please excuse my noob questions...
I got an ODIN copy.. Ive uploaded it to my website
Its an old version i think but should work.. ( Odin3 v1.85 )

Thank you @Nielli! I downloaded it, but 1.85 doesn't have One Package option and I can't flash my DDKQ8 one package ROM? Or I could try to put the .tar file in the PDA's field?
EDIT:// Damned, how come I didn't saw Firmware -> Flashingprograms tab in Sammobile.com?! I'm blind...
Thank you @PJ147!

Any v.annoying bugs on beta 5.. Js it good for daily use? Im so excited about it
---------
Using TapaTalk on my SGA.
Well... yes and no. I faced some really annoying bugs - still flickering, wifi gray icon, FB sync wasn't sincing my contact's pictures, when calling sometimes phone hangs-up by itself (happened once), wifi reconnects in a few seconds (fixable by patch given in thread), ICS Settings app force close (and this app even isn't included in beta 5 at all, and still existing in my installed apps although i did full-wipe several times) and many more - but as long as I see not all of the users suffered those bugs. I'm reading CM9's thread since post#1, and all I can say is that the bugs depends from your baseband... Exactly because of that I flashed DDKQ8, because I noted that users that coming from this ROM as base had less bugs in their phones and CM9 works better than with my old one baseband - KT7 (i don't even remember which stock ROM I was installed last...). And now I'll flash CM9 again to see if it's gonna work without problems for me too, or not
Thanks for your help, and if mod's decide to lock and trash this thread i'll be fine
Awhh.. Ill wait for stable build as i use my phone whole day .

[Q] Root and custom rom for S5830

Alright this is my first post here..
I am a complete newbie as far android rooting and custom rom installation is concerned. I have been using Samsung galaxy ace's stock installation unrooted phone for about 6 months...after installing a few apps the phone has become sluggish..and battery drains out more quickly I can do a factory reset
but its not practical reinstalling apps again and again . I figured out custom rom is the way to go to unlock the potential of the phone but the chances of bricking my phone has stopped from taking the plunge.
I haven't yet found a recent how to root and install custom rom post for the galaxy ace S5830 ,the ones that are available are 8 -9 months old I believe a lot has changed since then
My current rom is gingerbread DDKQ6
In short this is what I want
1) Back-up the entire factory os( ie samsung touchwiz etc)..incase I screw up I can always go back.
2) root the phone
3) Install a stable and secure rom gingerbread or ics (even better) which is fast and doesn't lag after installing a few apps. without sacrificing any original features of the phone apart from touchwiz
4) a rom which has all google apps running (gmail, android market, placess, navigation ,search, youtube etc).. i noted the current ics roms for galaxy ace don't have the camera working.
Pls help.

Chances of bricking is very less. You can read the stickies in development section. All info given there. Nothing much has changed. So you can use the old posts without worry.
as you new better start with a stock custom Rom . try stocklite 6 or adrenaline Rom. you Will know what you were missing.

For flashing a rom, ALWAYS delete Dalvic cache, cache and factory reset. Remember those 3 and you can flash any rom you want. Delete these before installing the rom, then flash.
Some roms don't require you to delete one of those, but always do just for safety measures and to avoid future problems.
How do i update superuser app?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA
As other users told you you can follow other guides about galaxy ace (even 11 month old, not so much have changed (for example http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145).
Just two advices if it's your firs experience with ROMs and root (that I learned here, and "save" my smartphone til now! )
1) To avoid lag and memory limits you should try link2sd or a2sd when yo'ull root (google for them)
2) NEVER use ROM Manager (or the CWM apk pre-installed in some ROMs) to backup your phone/intall ROMs/MOD/etc (NEVER USE IT!) because it'll brick your Ace!
Hope have helped you... Good Luck

So i`ll assume that you already rooted ok?
Download Clockworkmod recovery from dev section
Install it by going to recovery-apply update then choose the sip file
Reboot
Download AOSP rom
put in SD
reboot to recovery
wipe everything
install zip from SD
choose AOSP rom ok?
but AOKP is still under beta so I don`t really recommend it
Its all on www.google.com or just use your brain to click the stickies please....

no i havnt rooted the phone.. but i have read somewhere that it is must to root phone before installing custom rom.. so looking forward the app and method to root my device
another thing is i want take up my stock rom too.. i may shift to stock ROM if i m unable to handle custom..
so the backup of the stock ROM is to be taken before rooting orr after rooting?
Back up with cwm after rooting and after installing cwm. Still, the best way to return to stock is Samfirmware and flashing through Odin (u need a PC and the ace's controllers).
It's all in the forums, just don't rush to flashing stuff without an exit plan.

BootLoop on Stock Rom Odin INTL

Hi guys
Bascially I need to have Android 2.3 on my Galaxy WiFi 5.0, I need HD video etc so im running into a problem. I have installed Eryigit-GB-2.3.6 G70ZCKPA Galaxy Player/wifi 5.0 ROM at the minute but I really would like unmodified 2.3 ROM not this one yet when I try to use odin to flash this ROM: Galaxy Player 5.0 Gingerbread KPH 2.3.6 it says every thing went ok but the device bootloops. Now Ive tried it with just the ROM and then Flashed the Kernel INTL one and it still does this?
Any help guys thanks
Please don't reply if all you have to say is "why go back to ginger bread when there are ics roms" ino i developed a couple of them i just need helpful answers thanks

Well the obvious first thing is that the stock kernel does not support ext4, so it will not boot without access to /data and /cache. Try going into stock recovery and wiping data. If it just gives you a bunch of errors, you need to flash and *repartition* in Odin. Then try wiping in stock again.
