My prime seemed to have the incorrect market installed. It was the phone version. I checked the market and sure enough under apps by google there was the tablet version of the market available for install. I installed it and it is a much more enjoyable experience. But i had to disable the built in market so i didn't have two icons.
Check yours, you may need the tablet version also!

Are you sure it's not an older version of the market (v 1.0.16)

No. I bought the tablet, barely touched it, ics came out, upgraded, market was always the same looking.
I can't uninstall the one that's there but it isn't the tablet version. The one I installed from google today is for tablets and looks much different.

If it is, why did a new product with honeycomb ship with it and why would it not be upgraded even after ics?

That really is extremely bizarre. Mine looks almost identical on both phone and tablet, but on the tablet it does show me "Staff choices for Tablets" and there is no "Market for tablets" listed as available.
Therefore I conclude that I have the correct market.

There's an older version of market in the marketplace. The version that came on the TF is the newest version i believe.

maybe it is the latest but if it is, the honeycomb one in the market looks more tablet friendly.

not sure i understand this...my phone and my prime show the same market version (3.4.4). I do not see any other market in the...market.

I guess this guy is talking about the app "Tablified Market" which is not from Google.
Neither does Google have a "tablet" version of the the market nor are any updates to the market done via the market itself....
After reading this I searched throughout the market and found what he was talking about. There is an Android Market in the Android Market... Strange. I downloaded it and checked it out. It does seem more set up for tablets than the one I have already but I prefer the current one to the one in the market. The reviews on the second one aren't very good either.

I occasionally check the other tablet forums and came across this APK of the phone market update and many people seem to be using the new market update on their tablets. From what I can gather from the xoom and iconia users is that it simply gives you two markets in your app drawer but it does seem to work. Although the "my apps" section is a little small.
One user from the download website posted he did this on his tab 10.1 with no problems. I would try it out but I always wait for a more established android user to say if something works before I try it. Any tab owners try this out for themselves already? What are your thoughts?

From what I understand the updated market for phones was explicitly made to be more tablet friendly in order to merge them at a later date with ice cream sandwich. I guess eventually our market will be updated to a styling very similar to the phone market. I haven't tried it myself but I don't see anything wrong with trying, just uninstall if it doesn't work.

I accidentally installed the new market on my 10.1 (wasn't paying attention to the apk I was installing). It does give you two markets, but it really screws with things... I got a lot of force closes, and it seemed to jump between the two markets. I wouldn't really suggest it.

Thanks man. Your more daring than I am. So updated market for phones is a no go then.

Its not showing up for me on skinnyrev1 either.
Its showing for me on the stock rooted rom. What market version are you guys running. Maybe the app creators took it down temporarily so they can fix a few things since the entire comments are filled with idiots *****ing lol.

Has never appeared on market for me and im on stock rooted. Have latest version of market. Posted this on other forums too. I just gave up and got it elsewhere.
shows for me. stock rooted, with market updater frozen so im on the old version of market. GTA just got updated today also...
I just got GTA III 10-Year Anniversary but cannot use it until I get home. It wants another 432Gb of data over WiFi. Oh well............
I can see it in the market and already downloaded it. I've only played a few minutes of it but it works great so far. its on sale for $3 now. I know for a fact the photon is one of the few supported devices. If you can't see it on your phone's market then i suggest trying the android market website
Its up now and on sale till the 29th. I can see it on Market and Amazon. I'm on stock rooted latest OTA. It runs fine on the tegra 2. BTW, check out the disabled effects you can enable here:

The tegra 2 handles the additional effects just fine.

am i the only one whom gets a force close every time i use the app on the prime?
Thats because it checks for an imei. Of course the TP does not have one. There is a imei generator in the nook color development forum. Here's the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103766 It works on the nook color and the touchpad, but I tested on my prime and it's a no go. Maybe we can get a dev here to whip up one that will work for us. Check on the OP in the link for more info. Dizzyden's a pretty good guy and I'm sure he would help someone who knows what there doing.
hmm the xda app works normally for me. I do get the force close when it doesn't load up a page properly and I press back, but that happens on all my android devices.

There is some loading bug, which leaves the loading circle on the screen. Pressing back once or twice closes the program, starting again makes it start up normally.
I have the same issue. Forced to use the browser at point.
I am having the same issue. I read somewhere that it says the xda app is not currently supported by ICS. Does anyone know if there is any validity to that statement?

Does the exact thing to me most of the time. Sometimes I can browse the sub-forums but then it will kick me out and force close. I am going to try tapatalk since I already have the premium version for that.
Since ICS, it crashes EVERY TIME.
Pretty annoying, considering how i got REALLY used to using it.
If the pro version was officially supported in ICS, i would purchase it.
i am using the free version, and crashes every time i login and go to favorite forum
Ok it's apparent that the "free" version is buggy. Interestingly enough, I have the paid for version, and never experience any of this. I have it loaded on both my Asus tablets.
Apparently it is the "free" version. I just ended up switching to Tapatalk and called it a day.
So this guy i work with tells me he was talking to 2 guys who work down the street at CDW. Apparently they both had Notes. But, they somehow managed to be running Honeycomb on them. Possible? Now this guy I work with knows cell phones pretty good so I have no reason to doubt him but I figured I'd ask anyway.

No sir. Honeycomb only came in 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1 and 3.2 I believe.
3.2.6 was released last month - for a Xoom connectivity issue.

I get "not compatible" with the Netherlands version. Can someone share a link with a working version for the Prime ?
Oh, yeah, and thanks for the tip !!
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using XDA Premium HD app
The version from EA Netherlands is not compatible with my Prime but with my SE Ray.
The version from EA Inc. is neither compatible with the Prime nor with my phone.
This is again stupid country specific restrictions. If you look at the comment from Prime users, they are all complaining that the game was working first and was then made incompatible.
I'm not sure why some games are region specific. But I believe there is an app in the market that can trick market into thinking you have a US device. I think root required also. This should allow you to download the US version of the game.

There are comments at the market that the game was made incompatible. People bought the app made a wipe for some reasons and could not reinstall. See also here on the board.
