[Q] GPS Update - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

The new firmware update is not installing, it gets half way through before it stops. Anyone one experiencing this? Does anyone have any ideas? As of right now I am not rooted, so that isn't the cause. I don't have the unknown serial key. Does anyone have any ideas?

When that happened to me it was because I'd pushed a modified SystemUI.apk to /system/app. I had to restore the backup I'd made, then it updated fine.
Beyond that...no idea.

I have the same issue. Does anyone know the cause?

Problem when updating Bell Atrix

Hey guys, so I've been trying to do the OTA update for the bell Atrix for a few days now. Everytime I install it and the phone reboots I get the android Triangle exclamation and I need to do a battery pull
I was rooted, but I unrooted the phone using Super one click. I also unfroze everything in Titanium backup...
Any ideas what would be causing this?
I too have this problem...same behaviour. Still running on 2.2.1 though. You too?

[Q] Disabling OTA Updates?

Does anybody know a way to disable OTA updates on Thunderbolt? I have a rooted phone, and don't want to deal with updating for now. My problem is the OTA updates cause the phone to reboot, the update fails and then I have to reboot into recovery, clear the caches, reboot again. It's a pain, and it seems to be happening at least once a day now.
Any hacks out there I can apply to disable the OTA updates?

If you have Titaniumbackup Pro then just freeze the update/updater apk. If not, I would suggest getting it, it is well worth the cost.
Great suggestion. I have TiBu Pro and have frozen the two Update apps I found in the list along with "VZW Package Installer 1.0" and "Field Test 2.1-update1" and "Field Trial 2.2.1", having done the last three just now. It did try to do yet another update a few hours ago, so we'll have to see if the last three do the trick.
Anybody got any other suggestions for Apps I should freeze to prevent OTA updates?
Update: None of the items I've frozen seems to have made a difference. Still looking for other ideas.
I'm thinking it was DM.apk or something similiar that controlled ota updates. I don't have a stock rom running atm so i can't be sure. When you find the correct one you won't be able to get to the update phone screen from settings any longer. Wish i could be more help but i just can't remember.

I was having that same problem and I just broke down and applied the update. I used clockwork rom manager and a rooted/deodexed update file that I found on the forums (linked from androidpolice, i think). Flashed the update, without wiping the current setup, then flashed the radio from the bootloader. Worked like a charm. I've got the update, it's not searching for more, and it reinstalled all the bloatware that I deleted instead of freezing when I got the phone. I went back through and freezed all the bloat junk, and my TB is running better than ever. Oh, and I'm just running a rooted stock rom.
I too suffered the same problem. I just ended up installing a custom rom to get rid of it for good. Best decision I ever made, I really like the Synergy build.

[Q] help with reboot problem

Need help with a problem. I am not a noob, been flashing and rooting since the vogue and dzo, if you don't know what that means, well... am also not a Dev. I do use adb, etc.
See hboot and hardware ver in my Sig. Running either wftn 4.08 or 4.17 with this happening, but I do not think it is a ROM problem. Phone reboots after being on for a while after freezing for 10 seconds. It is a hard reboot, back to splash screen. It will boot into ROM, and at this point I can use it for no more than 10 seconds, before it repeats the process. It does not go to the setup screen. I tried wiping and restoring just data from a working backup, does the exact same thing. I also tried flashing ROM over it to see if writing the system would fix, exact same problem. yes, I did also try the reboot fix. Wiped everything, restored full working nandroid, ran for an hour and same thing happened. This was a nandroid that had previously run for >1wk with no issues. Also noted that some apps are missing from the restore. Tried reinstalling apps from TB, it hangs. Apps from market gives error 24 and won't install. Some App data is lost between reboots. Looked at my logs and see errors related to mtd partition - I've attached the log. I ran my SD card through windows disk check and error fix, it found zero errors and said it was fine.
I'm going to ruu restore, but based on the above I am uncertain whether this will fix the problem. Looking for other suggestions from people with more experience than me. Thanks in advance.
bump. where's ramjet when you need him? lol
I'm not Ramjet, but I like to think of myself as the poor man's Ramjet
Like you said, I would suggest the RUU and run stock for a little while to see if the problem is fixed. If not, it could be a hardware or heat issue.

[Q] generic IMEI, no efs backup, how to fix?

There are a couple of weeks since my phone was acting strange, losing signal and then rebooting,
first I thought it was the ROM, but no, then I tried to change the modem, got some improvements but still no,
then I realized that some time ago I DELETED everything on my phone, including the efs backup.
I tried almost every solution that I cold find, some were too complicated or I didn't understand the instructions.
Did someone had this issue and fixed it? please help me.
If i try to flash a stock firmware(don't know what version my phone had) will it fix the issue?
Waiting for some ideas, thanks.
Nothing?

I believe doing a proper flash of the stock firmware should restore the imei. Haven't experienced this problem myself but give it a try anyway.
this it what I was thinking, planning to do this tonight, hope that it works

LG G2 rebooting!!!

Hi everyone, forgive me I have no idea if this is the right place to post. Mods if it's not please help me out! I have a G2 that was working fine up until the point I did a factory restore. I have never modded or rooted the phone in the past, everything was stock and I restored the phone. Now it doesn't work properly. It makes no sense.
The OS is 4.4.2 I believe, as Rogers in Canada did not release Lollipop for this model. I did another factory reset, and the phone still randomly crashes and reboots. I tried installing Cyanogenmod 12.1 (I believe thru sideload) and it did the same thing - random rebooting.
I have since restored stock firmware with the 1GB KDZ file and it's still crashing.
Is it possible the original factory restore I did cause a hardware issue? Is there any way of finding out exactly what's causing it to crash?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Adam
