hi everybody. unfortunately yesterday the internal sd has stopped working. when i turn on the phone it stays on dell logo and then it reboots. trying to reinstall the rom streakmod recovery says that there are nomore the partitions on the sd.
i've tried to reimage it following this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405920) but i'm a noob and i wasn't able to do it.
can everybody show me a different/easier/more complete guide to reformat the internal sd, because i would prefer not to get the phone in assistance. thanks everybody

Put a different SD card in the phone and try a factory reset.

[Q] Help Pls After Mistake no boot

Hi guys,
I made a huge mistake that I hope there is a way out of. I have been reading everything before I did it, and made a mistake.
I thought in clockworkrecovery, when I selected partition sd, it was partitioning external sd so that I could save image to it. Obviously seems to have formatted the internal sd and now phone boots but after logo, get black screen.
Is there anyway to undo the internal partitioning? I can't get my phone booted up.
Reason for all this is clockworkrecovery backup was only backing up to internal sd, but I wanted to backup to external sd which it wasn't recognizing. So partitioning screwed it all up.
I hope there is a way out.
Anyone pls? Thx.

Search the thread for how to odin. Look for the stickies. All u need is to use odin
Sent from the helm of Vibrant Territory!
Should I select re-partition in ODIN, even though the directions say not to? Reason being that I messed it up by creating a partition on the internal sd

[Q] Need help! "Intalling new Software" & "Please restart..." again & again

[Q] Need help! "Intalling new Software" & "Please restart..." again & again
Yesterday I have tried to flashed my Nook to install rom ONE-STOP-SHOP for CM7 (UPDATE! April/13). At first, everything is ok. But when I connected my Nook to my laptop, my laptop only recognized th 8GB SD Card, not 10GB internal storage. So I've tried something and maybe also hit the factory reset.
Here came the problem! After that, everytime I put Power button,my Nook opened and ran to screen: "Intalling new Software". A few seconds later, it ran "Please restart your device and try again. Therefore, I cannot do anything tomy Nook.
I've tried a CMW boot SD Card and an empty Card with acclaim_update.zip. But it's not working. Seems now my Nook can only boot from internal partition and re-encounter the problem above.
Can anyone experienced this find solution to help me, or simply guide me to overcome this problem?
Before you do anything else, try to also make a bootable CM7 SD ROM, seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22199348&postcount=1
I've seen some people who can't boot into CWM from SD card, but end up being able to boot CM7.
If this doesn't work, you'll have to take a lot of some of the unbrick or total wipe options in the Development subforum.
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried that but it didn't work. Seems my Nook Tablet cannot recognized any bootable sd cards or CWM boot. It just repeat "Installing new Software" and "Please try again..." again & again, I have all day tried many bootable methods but no one worked.
What should I do now?

You could try performing a manual factory reset of your device. Details of how to do this are listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420408
Or if that doesn't work, you may have to do a complete wipe and start fresh. Here's the thread to do a total wipe: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1470910
Many, many people have had success with these methods, but I can't guarantee they will work for you. The only thing you can do is try.

Bootloop into CWM

Hi, Nook Tablet gurus!
I desperately need your help! :crying:
I've been trying to bring my nook tablet to life for 3 days and evidently just reading and googling doesn't help - I need your help!
What I have:
Nook Tablet 16Gb
It always boots into internal SD cwm - nothing helps!
NT can boot into internal CWM, but I can't get to emmc - internal CWM just doesn't find it!
When I load through SD card I can see the content of emmc. And even use .zips on it to try to flash. But anyway i always get or in SD's CWM or into emmcs CWM
I tried lots of things: Tried different CWM versions, tried to mount\unmount different partitions (but didn't formatted!) Wiped cache, data, dalvik cache lots of times. Used method from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663836) but it says, that i must contact the B&N shop after reboot.
What I didn't try - repartition through ADB, as I'm afraid I'll just screw all things further.
My initial goal was just to flash ordinary (but beautiful) CM7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1512373) previously I used just rooted version of stock for half a year.
Could anybody, please help me? Will appreciate any help!
You're saying you can or cannot boot into a CM7 SD ROM?

Sorry for VERY stupid question.
I can make an sd card with CM7 SD ROM on it?!
Wow i thought i can only write CWM on SD cards and nothing more serious. Could you, please give me a link on how exactly do this and what should I do next after this SD CM7 Rom will be booted from SD card?
Thank you Very Much for answering my noobish question - i really tried to handle everything by myself at first.
Yes you can make a bootable CM7, CM9, or CM10 card. CM7 is easiest, so we'll try that. Go to this post right here and follow the instructions underSD VERSION IMAGE.
Basically, just do this:
1.) Download the CM7SD ROM in that post.
2.) Download the .img writing software in that post.
3.) Attach your microSD to a PC using a USB adapter
4.) Using the .img writing software, write the .img ROM file to your SD card.
5.) When it's done, put the SD card in your NT and power it on from a completely off state (NOTE: You may need to be plugged into a wall charger if your NT doesn't boot into the SD card.)
6.) Wait for it to boot into your CM7 SD ROM.
Just flash CM7 to eMMC. It will run faster than off the SD

[Q] SD CARD WONT MOUNT IN CWM...very woried

Hi there
I am not very tech savy and I managed yesterday to install cyanogenmod on my i9100. The problem was that specific nightly I installed had a issue with not mounting the sd card. I read on the forum that this would be fixed in today's update.
So I loaded the new update of cyanogenmod on my sd card like I did yesterday thinking that the mount issue would be resolved if I boot into CWM wipe factory data and cache and the install the new ROM from the SD CARD. Basically do exactly what I did yesterday just with the new rom.
Alas the sd card would not mount. The only thing that could mount was internal sd storage. I did not save the ROM there so now my phone does not switch on when I press the power button but is does switch on when I want go into recovery and dowload mode.
This is what I did today
I installed siyah-v3.2b8 via odin
Then I did the same with CWM recovery
After this I booted into recovery mode and wiped factory data and cache.
My intention was to next install(or flash not sure what the right word is) CM10.1
Any help please. I have been looking around on the forums for solutions, but none are so similar to this. As I am just starting to learn how all of this works, I am not sure wether other solutions apply.
I am worried that I bricked the phone.
Thank you so much for any help. I will continue to look for a solution until I get a response.

I went into cwm ( think it comes with Siyah.)
I went to the following setting on the list after plugging the phone in the PC in recovery mode
- mounts and storage
then
- mount from usb storage
The internal SD was recognized and I just copied Cyanogenmod zip file over.
I then installed zip from internal sdcard.
and voila....it booted right in and the new nightly build sorted out the SD card problem. So far no further issues.
Thank you for the admin moving my post to the correct place. And I hope this helps.
