Just got the dock today and wanted to share a few thoughts..
kind of clunky to attach but may just take some getting used to. Once attached feels just like a netbook
Loving the keyboard shortcuts. There's even a key to take a screenshot!
Have been trying to figure out whether there's any need to touch the screen when docked. Only thing I see so far is unlocking the tablet. You can even scroll within widgets
Wondering if there will be any apps that will allow for remapping keys. (i.e. assigning a key to custom app or shortcut
The overall feel is very nice and compact. The piece that holds the tablet looks weird when it's closed though.
The whole thing fits inside my Gtablet sleeve perfectly.
All in all, worth the money IMO. I can't stand typing on a touch screen and I can see that this will be my primary method of typing on this thing.

2nd edit (5/11/11) back to thumbs up after updating to the beta dock firmware

Have you encountered the glitches with the touchpad being activated and the keyboard suddenly not responding? a number of us have including me. Disabling the touch pad seems to prevent the disconnections but really annoying nonetheless.

I've experienced it as well. Hopefully the next update will correct the problem, since the touchpad functionality w/gestures is very nice (when it works).
BTW, how do you disable the touchpad???
not once. been using it all day, in and out of the dock

Fourth button on the top row of the dock, the one with a slash on a dock symbol. It doesn't solve the problem unfortunately, at least in my experience.

Thanks - unfortunately it doesn't help me either.
Where was you dock from?
What firmware does your dock have?
Oh great! Now I'm starting to have issues.
1st I noticed the I was missing all apps from my home sreen. Dock/Undock fixed it.
Then I notced a big time lag in my typing. No biggie still better than touchscreen.
Then while playing around in Gallery I lost dock. Dock/Undock fixed it.
Also, the wifi is beginning to intermittently turn off. hitting wifi button fixes.
Now the lag is more noticable. Typing with it now and the letters show up about 1/2 second later. Sucks cause I was just beginning to learn neat tricks with the dock. For example, I was using 2 fingers to scroll, but learned it's easier to just hold 1 finger still and use the other finger to scroll.
Hope there's firmware fix made available soon.

I got my dock from AmericanTV in Peoria, IL on May 5th. Its running the default firmware it came with, whereas the tablet I have updated to the latest 8.2.3.9 firmware from the Asus website.

Thanks - I'm running the latest firmware as well for the tab. I'm assuming the dock firmware is what it shipped with (EP101-0207).
One other question: When the dock freaks out, does your battery status icon show a question mark over it?
No refresh button is a real bummer. I think this button is far more useful than say, the auto light button.
The backspace button is also really far for those of us who have smaller hands. But, this is something you can just get used to.
Does the hardware keyboard support languages other than English? Can you change the predictive input dictionary language and/or the keyboard layout?
Can you type, for example, German or Japanese on it? What about typographical symbols that don't have a dedicated key (like dashes)?
Delay, there are supposed to be regional keyboards available in the future.
I don't have mine yet, so I can't expound on detail regarding settings in the TF, but I doubt one will be able to simply change the language of the keyboard without changing the language setting of the whole OS. Also the keyboard will probably still output English characters.
Got my dock yesterday, and UPS just dropped off my TF a couple hours ago ( ).
Anyway, I just 'mated' the TF to the dock for the 1st time, and it did not sound good / did not go well. Didn't want to go down, and it seemed like it was getting hung up on something. I slid the latch over, and pulled the TF back out and a tiny little piece of black plastic fell onto the desk (very tiny... like 1mm x 1mm).
I finally got it to dock ok, but the little sliding latch isn't automatically sliding all the way to the right. It only goes about 1/2 way, then I have to sort of help it along to get it all the way over.
Anybody else had this problem? I'm wondering if I have a faulty dock.

Is it supposed to go all the way over? I've just assumed that it was designed to only go halfway. Now I'm really curious what other people's docks are doing.
Mine only goes halfway if my TF isn't clicking in completely to the dock. It does go all the way over as long as I push down and get both sides to click in.
I haven't had any problems with the dock yet, no problems with wifi, no problems with touchpad *knocks on wood*. I did experience some lag typing into forms, but no more so than with touchscreen keyboard on stock browser, so I don't think that was dock dependent.
The only issue I have with the dock is I don't believe there's a button to the multitasker. I want to be able to move between programs more easily while docked. I don't want to have to touch the "monitor" every time I want to multitask. Also, I need the touchpad to register pinch to zoom. I'm hoping these get updated soon.
Has anyone tried an SDXC (not SD) card in their dock yet?
Yes it is suppose to go all the way over. If it's not going all the way over for you, then the transformer is not COMPLETELY flush with the dock. Meaning that, when you close the transformer down with the dock it should be smooth all the way around.

Those shortcuts wont work for me, wierd. In stock browser.
Hey all I'm wondering if any one else has been having trouble with their keyboard not registering certain keys. Idk what it is but God damn it its annoying. I've tried three different keyboards and I get the same problem on all. If anyone can help out or guide me in the correct direction of where I should be looking for help or something. I'm running my TB stock with Das Bamf 4b kernel at 1.4 ghz.

Which keyboards have you tried using? Have you calibrated your touchscreen (may not even be related, but give it a shot).
I've used the stock, better keyboard 7 and swift key. I calibrated my screen on the stock KB but not the others.

I've had the same problem too. It usually happens the worst while I'm charging my phone
in landscape mode my 'T' is really hard to use. i've used better keyboard, swiftkey, and smart keyboard. my 'the' always comes out as 'he' -_______-

i have noticed that too. when i charge my phone its almost like i have a resistive screen instead of a capacitive. my touch is only registered if i force my finger on it, instead of the gentle touches that it usually registers
I have noticed that FPse, N64oid and the other Oids have response and sustained press issues on the Rezound. Control movement is not steady and an example of sustained presses not working is when holding down a button for steering or the gas peddle in a racing game. Buttons do not function as being pressed down beyond about a second.
Same app versions work fine on the D3, Flyer, Thrive and Razr. Testing a Razr now.
Could be an issue with the app compensating? Does the dev say the Rezound screen resolution is supported?

I thought that, but the Thrive works and same res as the Rez. Maybe a DPI issue though, since the Rez is a lot more.
I will send the devs a note, but would not hold breath for a quick fix (if at all for some apps). Bummer, since the display is amazing.
It could be that the phone only has 4 multitouch points enabled atm. Wonder why they didn't enable more like the 10 on RAZR.
Ok, so my sister just gave me her s2 for the month cause my phone broke. It has a deadspot on the left side. Across the whole side of the screen. The only issues is that i cant type "1" or "q". Also occassionally a game will be harder to play as i can barely press the buttons on the side. Is there a way for me to change the lcd display/resolution so it does not display in the deadspot? So it would kind of shrink and shift my diplay over so i still see everything, just a bit smaller and not on the side. Just wondering if I could somehow customize a ROM or do something about thus.

Just replace screen. Fastest option.
Yeah, and the MOST expensive option.....
If you're rooted flash a custom ROM that allows full 360° screen rotation....that will certainly solve the keyboard issues...not sure about the game issues though.....and the best part.....
It won't cost you a penny.....

Ok. As I said. I have the phone for the month. Its smashed up but im not gonna replace the screen if im buying a new phone in like a week. And thanks. I was thinking of the 360 rotation ROM.
I've used CM10...CM10.1 and CM10.2 and they all have this option. I'm not going to recommend any particular one over the others, because that's against forum rules....but I'm sure that a pointer in the general direction should be OK....lol

Also, model number. There's a fair chance you're in the wrong forum. US telcos sold their own versions of the S2, not the I9100 & we have dedicated forums for those devices.
Well my keyboard rotates 360 degrees. Its just it wont do that in some apps. Like my bank and work app isnt well developed and doesnt support landscape. Well i will just wait another week and buy a new phone. Thangs for the help!
is it your screen or the LCD?

2 finger scroll seems to work 70% of the time. I have no clue what clicking the button does. Sometimes it behaves as a 'back', sometimes a 'home', sometimes a left click. Doesn't seem to work when you click and drag, cuz when i click down it moves the mouse due to the sensitivity. There is zero palm rejection so I had to turn off the '3 finger tap gesture' option, but it still seems to be wonky. I've updated to the latest s7+ firmware. Not sure if there is any keyboard case update.
This being my first keyboard case with a trackpad on android... this is kind of disappointing? Hope its just a defect in the keyboard case....
been using it for the last 48 hours. this thing is absolute trash. track pad is horrible. keyboard is too flimsy and doesnt really fit straight every time its closed up.
also not a fan of how the mouse pointer doesnt really go away when watching youtube or any other sort of video app
keys are nice and clicky tho.
I love the Keyboard. Immediately after first use a firmware update for the keyboard (so its not related to the S7 plus update) came in, that might have improved performance. I haven't found a way to check for keyboard firmware updates yet, let alone to install it, but you might need an update for better performance.

interesting. looked around and don't see a way to force that.
It's not the biggest deal overall, found a BT mouse in the house that just worked better regardless lol. Still a bit of a bummer. Glad I only paid like $60ish for this.
