i have galaxy 5 and yesterday i flash to mad rom 2.2 extreme and i had no problems on till i turned off the phone

download mode works but when i put all the files in odin and push start it just stuck on "mibib download"
what did i do wrong??? i had search all the web and i haven't found any fix...
please help i never had this problem before.
P.S sorry for my bad english...

Have you tried different stock ROM?

i tried 2.1 eclair ant 2.2 froyo stock roms

Maybe this is a Samsung USB odin drivers failure. Try to reinstall driver. I had similar problem on Win 7 one time. I reinstalled driver and it worked.

Thx man it worked
When i reinstaled drivers it not helped but when i uniinstaled samsumg kies and then instaled only samsung drivers it worked

[Q] USB Mounting

Hi,
My Samsung Galaxy Gio (S5660) is unable to connect to any computer (already tried on 4, all with kies, other cables, etc). It always says unrecognized device, even on downloading mode. It is on stock gingerbread, but it was on CM 7.2, i remember i flashed a ext4formatter.zip on the procedure, does it has anything to do with?
Any ideas?

Do you have USB Debugging enabled? Also allow Unknown resources?
Yes, already tried with them on or off, nothing seems to be working..

Did you check to make sure the drivers are installed?

Yes, I even reinstalled them via Kies, and even installed Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones, etc..
Try Unistalling, then reinstalling the drivers.

Anything related to software (PC) was already done. As I said, tried on 4 computers, all with the same error. Kies and drivers already full uninstalled/installed. XP/Seven.
In my opinion it seems to be about the phone. Even when trying to install a official update from samsung the installation fails with a 0x80010093 error code.
Doesn't ext4/rts have nothing to do with this?
Regards
I would try flashing a different Rom. See if the issue persists.

The thing is that for flashing the roms provided here is by ODiN, and as I cant connect it, I cant flash it
Flashed CM7.2 via CMW and still no sucess. Tried to mount USB Storage on CWM and the same happens...
Same problem here, on my SGS1 I9000.
I tried every solution found on this forum but nothing worked.
If you find a way to work, write it please
Well till it gets resolved you can try using Wireless adb. There are also several Wireless file transfer apps. When I get home I'll link a few

Thanks I'll be waiting
Well here's a few for you. I've used these so I know they work. There are more I'm sure. Links are below . First one is Wireless ADB.

Still no ideas how to solve this?
Wireless abd works for data transfer, but for a rom flashing it doesn't

Kies won't recognise a phone with custom ROM...one possible way is to connect your phone to pc using stock firmware, allow drivers to be downloaded then flash the custom ROM again...my SGA running a custom ROM is able to connect to pc cause drivers were downloaded before this...
Another alternative is to enable windows update and allow it to auto-download the drivers...provided your internet connection is on...hope this helps...

The things is:
My Kies didnt recognize my phone with the stock rom.
My Odin didnt recognize my phone with the stock rom. (download mode - non related to the rom).
My Windows Explorer didnt recognize my phone with the stock rom.
So i've tried to install a custom rom as it could (it shouldnt) be a rom issue.
And the same as I've written happens.
Owh...stock GB is supposed to be in .rfs format...not .ext4...the zip must have reformatted it...

If the problem still persists, then explain in depth as to what you did . Hope This Helped
I've followed the guide several times, but i can't get my device connected to odin. here is what i do: delete samsung kies, install odin, install the samsung drivers, put my phone in download mode connect it. (i have also tried to connect it and then download mode etc.).
Two things come to mind. One, the phone is borked & is a service centre job. Two, you're doing something wrong, but as we're not there with you looking over your shoulder, it's going to be nigh on impossible for anyone here to say exactly what that is.
Given you say you've tried 'everything' (and you have listed everything I normally tell people to do when they can't get their PC/Odin to recognise the phone), I don't know of any other options that anyone here can give you.
If it were me, I'd persevere & keep trying to get Odin to recognise the phone for a bit. I know you've tried different PC's, try some more. Again, I understand you've tried different USB cables, try others. There is no magic fix here.
Then I'd bite the bullet & send it into Samsung. If they end up wanting to charge you for the repair, consider having it JTAG'd. Will probably end up cheaper.

Why did you delete kies? :O . Just close the processes of kies at the time of starting odin.

Your post gave me a thought Krishnadusad. OP, I realise you manually installed drivers after you removed Kies from your PC which would normally work just fine 999 times out of 1000. However...Given nothing else is working, download a fresh copy of Kies from Samsung's website, reboot, install it, reboot again.
Then try Odin again, and check Windoze task manager & make sure you end task on Kies or any related processes.
Worth a shot I figure.
Install kies again and charge your mobile. Then download the stack rom from sam firmware. Beware. I suggest you flash the 4.0.3 as the 4.0.4 has brick bug. Then boot into download mode and flash the stck rom. You may want to check out the how to threads.

hello guys,
thanks for your help. But i wasn't able to flash so i brought it to the store, samsung is fixing it. I hope it isn't to expensive!
When you are in download mode - you are not bricked and it's 100% chance to restore your phone to full funcionality. Just read some FAQs next time

you did not try to go into recovery mode(volumeup-HOME-powerbutton) and wipe?

[Q] My SGS3 does not detected by PC, but detected in download mode

As the title say, My i9300 does not detected by any pc, it worked perfectly a few months ago (but it rarely used by my parents so they gave it to me)
Tried diffrent cables, tried to install kies & usb drivers, tried to reinstall kies & usb drivers, tried to connect with another pc
But my i9300 detected in download mode, so i rooted my phone, and install the http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/app-sgs3-easy-ums-mount-external-t1711009 but still.... nothing, and I also tried to install custom rom (CM 10.2) and see what happens, it's still not detected, i thought that this could be a hardware problem, but when i tried to connect it in download mode, it detected
Can anybody help me? sorry for my bad english, as i'm not a native speaker Thanks

[Q] G i5500 help

Hello everyone! sadly I have a problem with my phone.. I did something wrong when downgrading from cm11 to cm7 and now the phone goes on bootloop when I turn it on. I am able to put it on Download mode, but at the moment I have a pc with w8.1 and it says me that the device is unknown (so I can't flash any firmware using Odin). When I had a windows xp computer I had no problem with odin and so I could have solved the problem in no time.
I tried to install the samsung usb drivers many times but still the problem is there..
what do you suggest me to do?
thank you very much
Install Samsung drivers and use old cwm for cm 7. For cm11 use newest cwm...

ODIN doesn't work for Galaxy 5 in Win8.1. Use somebody else's PC that has Windows version older than 8.1.
SEE this thread to get a clear idea about which recovery should be used with what ROMs:

[Q] GT-I9100G recognized as modem in Download mode

Hello guys,
today i wanted to try to flash stock rom (DBT-I9100GXXLSR-20130218205023) in my GT-I9100G. I had cm7 JB4.2.1 in my GS2 with CWM recovery.
Everything went fine until i went into download mode. My Computer and my laptop are recognizing the GS2 as a Samsung Modem instead of the device in download mode.(I also tried different cables, drivers and USB Ports, Kies aswell)
I tried much stuff untill i flashed a stock kernel via cwm (B_Safe_Kernel_XXLSR_CWM6). Now my cm 7 is broken and im not able to reflash it via CWM.
I just need helt to get that modem driver recognition to work.
can anyone help me? if you need some more informations just aks me and i try to get them!
greetings alex
**1. Edit**
So the cwm error was status 7 and easy to fix. i installed cm 10 now and ill try to fix the problem with the drivers in download mode
