Check Galaxy 3 partition structure and compare whit I5500 partition structure. If arm11boot is damaged phone is bricked and there is nothing you can do about it. In that case I'm sorry and take it back to service center.
I did a lil reaserch. You can fix on your own. im sorry.... Take it to service center. A proof:
Apollo ops:

2,logo

Partition 4 in Apollo is zImage, in Europa partion 4 is arm11boot. Usualy zimage is flashed so zImage replaced arm11boot. Phones have different construction and software so no turning back whitout service guys.

1.ensure ur phone battery is charged
2.install kies
3.now connect ur phone to pc and go to control panel devices and printer and see if there is any device with samsung name.
4.if not then disconnect ur phone remove its battery
5.now without battery in ur phone connect ur phone to pc
6.now while holding vol. down, home and power button insert the battery it will install some drivers
7.ensure u press all the buttons at same time otherwise it will not work

bro i dnt gt 8. point ill u please xplain ?
If you flash your phone with a recovery done for another phone there is nothing you could do but bring it to a Samsung center, where they will repair it.
It's not my personal experience, but I read - here and elsewhere - that all peoples which had same problem was not able to solve it..
Next time you have to be much more careful!!
any idea how much they ill charge ?
by 8th poinrt i mean to say that if the 3 button combination (vol down+home+power) does not work for u as it did not work for some people try (vol up + home) the 2 button combo also it requires patience as it is difficult to hold all the buttons and at the same time while holding insert the battery, u can take help of any one as it will only work if done correctly
best of luck

I know that you really doesnt want this advice...
Try bin4rys flashtool 'terminal' edition
I know by my own experience that with Gui it sometimes fails to discover the phone. I tried with terminal one, and i succeded.
Take it easy, read, think, read, think

Use PC Companion to repair your device.
Are you sure your phone is completely shut down when using flashtool? Coz back then, my phone kept on booting as long as the battery is inseeted. So I took the battery out, prepare the flashtool within one click to begin and wit sleight of hand I put on the battery, connect the usb and press the back button and voila, it detected my phone and start the flashing process

This should really help!
1. On the yellow triangle right click and select "Update Driver..."
2. Download "Non-Gui" version.
3. Put 1.6 firmware on "firmware" folder.
4. Open "X10flash.bat"
5. Write "2" and press enter.
6. Write "y" and press enter.
7. Select operating system, but DONT PRESS ENTER!
8. Now connect USB to computer, but not in phone.
9. Turn off phone.
10. On phone hold back key and connect phone with USB, but dont relase key.
11. On flasher press enter while holding back key.
12. Relase it when it says "Sending Loader..."
This should fix your problem. This is how I done it!

First, you need charge your phone! But you need do this with charge adapter (Not USB cable + PC), later try to flash you phone with flasher or SEUS.
If you phone is no start or booted - pressed Home+back+Power - this rebooted tour device !

just forget every method, start seus when it asks you to connect phone
just connect your phone without pressing back key, phone will boot
now press home+back+power keys as kobzarcheg said
your phone will vibrate and turn off with green light LED on
release power and home key but not back key
your phone will be detected and seus will either download the updated firmware or repair your phone
If you still haven't fixed your phone yet..
1) You need to charge your phone with the wall charger (red light on phone generally means battery level low) you can't charge it from your computer it needs to be the wall charger.
2) If you have already tried the newer version of Flashtool and had no luck then try this one.. (it is the original one I still use because it never fails, all thanks to Bin4ry for this tool.. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing it if it help you out)
Flashtool2.1(non GUI)
3) download, unzip and copy the firmware .sin files into the Firmware folder in flashtool (should be 8 or 9 .sin files) make sure you download the right ones for your phone! (mini-E10 pro-U20) from here..
mini
mini pro
4) run the flashtool.bat file and follow on screen instructions.
When it asks you to connect phone in "Flashmode" I suggest pressing the power button and middle button for 3 sec (to re-boot your phone if its a mini or if its a pro then take the battery out and put it back in again) then hold down the back <-- button while you plug the usb cable into the phone.. it should detect the phone and start flashing.
If it doesn't work the first time unplug the phone and try again!
good luck

Yep, I have a mini so I know you can't remove the battery
I would leave the phone plugged into the charger for a few hours.. (even if you don't know if its charging)
with a mini, pressing the power button and the middle button at the same time and holding them down for 3-4 sec is like taking the battery out and putting it back in.. when Flashtool asks you to connect the phone then you just need to plug the phone in while holding down the back key (the phone should be off (or between reboots) for you to do this)
(also had you ever plugged the phone in and ran pc suite or SEUS before this problem.. I wonder if you have the drivers for your phone installed on your computer? if it had worked for PC suite or SEUS in the past it should be fine.

Use Odin to flash a new kernel (Clockwork Recovery for example) as PDA. This time do NOT unplug before its finished.
Remember to flash the kernel while you're in DOWNLOAD MODE: Vol down + Home + Power
Try to get into either recovery or download mode.
TURN PHONE OFF
VOLUME DOWN+HOME BUTTON+POWER
IF IT WORKS, PLUG IN AND OPEN ODIN AND FLASH AGAIN
hope it works for you

If you have tried all the things suggested and the phone cannot switch on, then how do you think Samsung will switch it on?
Right now you have an expensive paper-weight. And to be honest, you deserve it. The instructions for flashing the ROM will have told you not to unplug the USB until the flashing process was finished and roughly how long the flashing time would take.
So you have nothing to loose returning it to Samsung saying that it happened updating their KIES.
After flashing a Rom with odin, my samsung galaxy ace doesn't switch on and I can not get to download mode. When I connect to the computer, Odin detects it, but qhen it's starting to flash, it sais cannot open the usb serial port. code: 2. How can I fix it?
from task manager end kies proccess
change the usb port " if u pluged ur phone to the left usb port in ur pc ry to put it in the right"
restart ur pc
take off the battery of ur phone

they replaced my motherboard....

are you trying to root your phone
yeah I'm trying to root a device .. but now it has not work and a black screen .. I tried to on but does not work ..
Try and get into download mode. Make sure the phone is switched off (pull the battery out for a minute then put it back in). Then press the volume down & home buttons & keep holding them down. At the same time press the power button until you boot into download mode.
If you can get into download mode, connect your phone to PC via USB & start Odin. Check Windoze Task Manager & make sure Kies isn't open. If it is, close Kies & it's associated processes. Now, if Odin recognises your phone & you have COM highlighted in yellow, you should be able to fix it.
At this stage, download stock firmware from Samfirmware if you haven't already. From there, flash the stock firmware in Odin and follow whatever instructions Samfirmware have for flashing firmware downloaded from their site (important).
Now...If you can't get into download mode, you can try a jig. If the jig doesn't work, you'll either need to get a JTAG repair done, or send it in to Samsung/your carrier for repair.

I think I've heard of similar things happen before when flashing galaxy s firmware on an S2.
As MB said, your only chance is to get download mode working before having to send it off.

This is a forced download mode. Essentially means you have to flash a working firmware before the phone will boot.
huhhhh...
I think to send the device to Samsung, is he able to find damage caused by my error?

I have tried but failed ...
While updating a new Xperia U to ICS the PCC had an error while flashing the new firmware. Now the screen lights up, the sony logo is shown for ~3-5 seconds and then it reboots.
After that I have been unable to get it recognized again by either PCC/SUS or flash tool.
I also checked my log files in Linux and no device appears.
I've tried 3 different machines (2x Windows 8, 1x Win 7), multiple USB ports. Also leaving the battery out for ~30 mins didn't change the behavior.
The green light for download mode comes on, but after about 5 seconds the light goes out and it goes into the boot loop again.
So by now I believe the device needs to be sent in, but maybe some one has a few more things I can try.
Try pressing the volume down plus volume up plus power button all 3 simultaneously till u feel 3 vibrations

Can you make sure the Flashtool drivers are installed ? Go to Flashtool Directory, open drivers directory and start the setup.. Make sure to select the Flashmode and Fastboot drivers are also selected. Then, reboot System and folow this order.
Startt flashtool, select f/w, wait for Flashtool to tell you to connect to device. Then, holding the Volume down button (while phone is switched off), plug the cable into phone (The usb cable must already be connected to PC before starting the Flash Procedure )
The Order is very important.. I had same issue with U (althoguh mine crashed with Flashtool and same as what you observed. When I followed this order, I was able to get it detected and flashed )

I tried that right now, Flashmode and Fastboot drivers are installed. Flash tool is ready, device is plugged in with volume down pressed, green light comes on. Nothing is found on the PC, after about 5 seconds the green light turns off and the phone shows the sony logo. Green light also comes on if i simply plug in the usb without volume down pressed. So I'm thinking, the download mode has some how been corrupted?

After several tries (a lot of...) I manage to enter flashmode and SUS is now reinstalling sony ROM.
Honestly I donĀ“t know how it works this time and not the others but i'm happy with it independently of what happens.
... seems flashtool is detecting ur phone try to flash first the stock kernel and do not wipe everything it shud be in timing though.. onces it is flash charge ur phone in kernel mode (phone is off) then you can flash the stock fw of ur XU.
I bricked my phone
I bricked my xperia U as well... When i tried to power ON, it just vibrates and nothing happens, i dont even get the sony logo. When i get into flash boot mode it gets connected but after 20secs, the phone turns off again. Only fastboot mode stays on. How can i unbrick my phone??? Plz help. I made a mistake by flashing the custom jelly bean rom without flashing the kernel first.

No worries. The phone turns off because it doesn't receive any signal from the PC - many people make the mistake of connecting the device in flashmode first, and then they start the flashtool etc.
Instead, load the flashtool first, go to flashmode, select a complete/full stock ftf for your phone (whichever version you want, but do double check if the ftf has kernel.sin file in it) and press the flash button. Only once you get the pop up with the animation telling you to connect the phone in flash mode, connect the phone in flashmode (volume - button pressed when connecting cable). As soon as you connect the phone, the flashtool will start its magic and your phone won't turn off.
if you can go in cwm wipe system then you will only be stuck on sony logo then use this guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPPWRXcsz7g.....it will work because this same happened to me and i fixed it with this method!
