I am using the galaxy ace running CM7 and it often freezes on the lockscreen and stays black so i have to resort to restarting it by removing the batter Is there a fix for this by any chance?
That's weird. Try reflashing the rom. Are you using any apps for the lockscreen?
can you give us other information about what tweaks you have done for the ace? any application installed for the screen lock?
I am using the default home screen app. The only tweak ive done is maker the processor more battery efficient. I might try re flashing the room or maybe change to new one.

Just wondering if the wicked rom can be changed to 4by4 icon grid rather than the 5by4 icon grid it came with.
Also it has barely any samsung apps/widgets wondering if particular apps such as readers hub and widgets such as the stock weatger widget can be reinstallled some how. These were things that i used before rooting and installing this rom.

yes, go to menu - launcher and set the desired grid size.
yes, samsung apps caan be downloaded and readded again, check the forum it usual has samsung apps on first vpage as a zip file.
You should have read the rom description before using as custom roms try to eliminate all samsung apps. you should then stay with a stock type rom which has your required apps.

Lolzz... Flash the ThemeEnabler.zip in the WickedROM 2nd Post.It will give you your old launcher.
And in the 3rd post all those apps you want are already provided in different packages(right from only samsubg apps or only hubs or all the apps)
BTW i am the dev of WickedROM Please read the thread henceforth

Thats not completely true about no settings in TWLauchers.My ROM comes with TWLauncher which lets me put 5 icons on the bottom tray and TW4Launcher which lets you change the amount of rows in the app draw.
First and second screenshot TW4 app draw settings,third screenshot TWLauncher 5 icon bar.
Has Any1 done this i dowoaded and flashed the hubs now when i try to use readers hub i have to install the book reader. However it says server will be available soon i mean what gives before custom roming it it always updated and installed instantly is this an app error or a rom error.

But most probably, thats the TWLauncher 4.5 launcher (by Fr4gg0r) you are using i am sure.It has those settings.It is a modded launcher.The user was asking for the stock Sammy TWLauncher i guess

Nope fixed now. It should be noted tht in order for the hubs to work you have to have apps INSTALLED aswell did not know. It should be wriiten down tht some hubs dont work without there apps. Peace out.

IS there anyway to turn of the shutter sound of the camera. Ive tried going in to settings and turning off various sounds and i cant find a way whether it be silent mode or or turning off audible selection still camera will make noise.

Not if the camera isnt modded or the ROM doesnt have a mod file you can flash via CWM to do so.
Could you elaborate cooza i just want to have the option to turn of shutter sound stock rom could. What do i need to flash.
Ps. Is the siyah kernel really good for battery life. If so what is the best way to go about flashing the kernel. Im a new user lol

yes, siyah is good for battery life.
If you are rooted use CWM to flash the zip file after copying it to your sd card. cwm- recovery-install zip- choose zip from sdcard-yes install, wit for it to finish, reboot phone.
other wise use ODIN, flash the tar file.

If you are on stock ROM you cant turn it off.If you are on a custon ROM the dev normally modifys various apps so that you have more options or you can download a file to flash and modify each app personally as you choose.If you are on stock then nothin,if your on a custon ROM ask the Dev or on the ROMs thread if there is a Zip file or CWM file that can mod the cam to turn off the sound.

Serious issue
I need a mod or sonething to stop sms converting to multimedia messages. I have unlimited messages. So tell me of the way to stop this STUPID feature that samsung have put in cos its costing me bills !!! Thanks mate.
Also if possible (but not as important) the messaging limit aswell as it stuck at just 10 contacts and ive got more than ten so i have to message multiple times i know your busy but if you can i would seriously appreciate this man.

I can use the phone for 10sec after boot and then the screen freezes and doesnt respond to buttons but the status bar seems to be changing.
Last thing I was doing was uninstalling whatsapp, and some iphone 5 launchers with titanium backup and restarting.
What are my options?
You can go into recovery mode and wipe cache or your data maybe,saving your phone is a better idea than to keep your files(only removes your apps not photos or music)

I'm gonna dl and install some new jb rom while im at it. I have clockwork installed already. I'm new to android but have watched some videos about it so it wont be a problem.
I would say install omega,its fast and stable.

If you want the jb look like the nexus there are also many roms like that i think foxhound is one check tem out

OK guys my problem is my WiFi is retardedly slow. I have been using omega ROM and everything was fine it seemed my WiFi was faster when I turned off power save mode. I have just installed resurection remix and I love it its amazing except the WiFi being slow as hell and obviously I can't do the power save mode thing. Is there anything I can do to make my WiFi work normally? Oh and I have never had a problem with it dropping out.

In honesty it only seems to be anything to do with xda, the xda app/tapatalk/xda on browser and sometimes YouTube lags a bit. I have tried clearing the data or everything and tried uninstalling/reinstalling the xda stuff but it just doesn't load quickly I have to have five or six attempts to get it too load.

it can be a bit slow sometimes, using a browser it may be due to adblocker, but also remember it a very active site with a lot of traffic sometimes

Sorry about the two threads like I say it takes ages to load the app and YouTube on AOKP and aosp but when I use the touchwiz based roms and I am able to turn off WiFi power save mode it works flawlessly, only problem is I'm not keen on touchwiz I really like this ROM and would love to keep using it but unless I can get this issue fixed I don't think I'm gonna be able to.

Ah never mind i have gone back to Omega's rom as it seems to be the best touch wiz rom. Hopefully i will be able to use aokp or aosp soon without WiFi issues. Thanks for everyone that tried to help though

You have to go back to ICS before going to any AOSP ROM.

Hello all Galaxy S3 owners !
I am totally desperate about my phone. IN fact im almost crying.
My problem is simple, trivial, stupid. Yet its totally affecting my work with phone.
I can´t delete home screens in Touchwiz.
Yes thats right, when i zoom out to manage home screens, and i tap and hold to move the homescreen to the delete bar- it just freezes at the first touch with the bar and bam. Touchwiz has stopped, it will restart, and that homescreen is still there.
Pretty simple, huh? Yeah, but well the point is, i have done around 4 factory resets and that problem is still there. When im done setting up the phone, its working good. But the first time i will restart it, i cant delete any home screen again.
Please for the love of god, help me.

You need to make sure that transition scale is not off in developer options.

You need to reboot after changing those settings..
If that didnt work then factory reset. This will wipe your settings and internal memory.

Well that firmware is not for my region and its functions is totally same as in XXELLA, so i guess its alright
And yes, when i came back home now, i was experimenting a little and rebooted up too. Yes, this enabling of animations solved the issue. Animation scale to 1.
God how i hate them, that phone aint that fast now.. Well at least i know whats the cause of it

I updated a ROM and my phone started lagging for no reason. I did a mega wipe and fresh installed the ROM and there is still lag. I even mega wiped and tried another ROM but I'm still getting lag. It usually happens when you open up apps or go into the settings. I'm not too sure what is happening. On stock kernel the lag is even worse and I haven't touched anything. It's a clean install. What could be the problem? Does anyone know? I can't see anything running in the background that might be causing it and I definitely installed the ROM in the right way.

I was using Anono Rom v24 and I had to switch to another kernel to get it it to run smooth but the lag is there when you open apps. The same goes for Android Revolution. I've tried using Perseus and Boeffla but still laggy as hell.

Siyah kernel is good man, use that. As for lag reduction i suggest rootbox(light rom) or jellybam(good rom) or foxhound(good as well but heavy).
Then check on the cpu with cpu master app and try to play with tweaks until u get smooth android experience (thats what i did....dont forget to do nanadroid backups every once in a while...)
