Can you use a 64gb sim card on the Nook Tablet? I know it seems excessive, but I would really love to do this. My NT is not rooted. Thanks.

My understanding is that 32gb is the upper limit that this device will support. That said, this guide -- for the SGSII -- may work on the NT.
Doesn't seem to work..
SIM cards definately wont work... but up to 32 gb sdhc cards will. I had a friend try a 64 gb sd card and it did not work. Hopefully in the near future a new rom might change this.
actually 64 GB cards work

I've been reading and watching that this takes micro SIM cards - at least for the US versions. What about the international versions? Do they take regular sized SIMS or micro as well?
They take micro as well.
It's micro sim

Why are all high end sets migrating towards Micro Sim all of a sudden?
Smaller. Allows more stuff to be put into the same area. That's my guess anyway.

And it looks like we'll have do deal with nano sims at some point... It's going to be 12.3mm tall, 8.8mm wide, and 0.67mm thick which is apparently 40% smaller than micro. And yes they do it to free up some space inside.

So, then this really this isn't a traveling phone then. Only certain countries even offer micro sims. If I want to use a local SIM, I'll need a different phone.

You're aware of the charges with roaming, right?? It's a silly question, but from your suggestion, I had to ask.

What's sad is that they made regular SIM cards (sometimes referred to as Mini SIM cards) way bigger than they needed to in the first place. That excess room provides no added benefit. It would have saved time/money/resources just by making micro SIM cards to begin with.
Is it compatible with the atrix 4g? I am running paranoid android 1.6 (like cm9). I have read about some one who it worked for them and one who didn't.
I've read that 64GB cards will work, but you have to format it in the phone after you install it in order to make it work. (The cards are preformatted with exFAT, which the Atrix does not recognize or support.)

the 64gb sandisk works great in my atrix (59.36GB usable) and MJPollard is spot on that you will need to switch it to fat32.

For important thing you should have a backup
Was working, has gotten glitchy
I have a 64Gb Sandisk sdxc that I've been using for about eleven months. Sent the phone back to Moto for some repairs, and it came back with the exact same software load (all current) that it went in with, as best I can see.
But the card was recognized without any problems before. Now, the phone keeps complaining that the sdxc card is FULL even though there are almost 5GB free on it. There were maybe 10GB free before it went in, I loaded more onto it this time.
So something is not quite right, perhaps the Atrix can't quite count to 64GB.
And of course my computer, which has an SDHC card slot, does not recognize SDXC cards above 32GB. I'll be getting a USB adapter to deal with that.
Very odd how the Atrix keeps complaining, yet recognizes everything on the card.
I've been getting a lot of errors with my sd card lately, mainly the phone saying is been removed or that it has corrupted data. Anyone else getting these issues?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
I was getting those errors occasionally, then the phone got hot and the SD card fried and stopped working. That was the standard 32 GB Sandisk card. I've been through 3 of the standard SD cards on different phones with the same ending result. I'm now using the 32GB ultra card in both my S3 & S4 without any issues at all. It's worth spending the extra $10 per card.

Sandisk micro-SD cards 64Gb has compatibility problems exactly with Samsung Galaxy S4. I had to buy Transcend one. Now it works properly.
A lot of Sandisk 32 and 64Gb cards have issues with both S3's and S4's.
Apparently those manufactured after 12/2012 no longer have this issue, but theres no way to tell their manufacture date.
I use and recommend Samsung cards, and have never had any problems with them.
Yes, they cost a little more, but the stuff I keep on them is irreplaceable, and I couldnt afford to lose 1 days work.
Also I recommend installing SD card monitor from Play.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sdcardmonitor
It will tell you how many times your card has unmounted erroneously.
Cheers.

Okay so awhile back I posted a help thread asking why my 64gb class 10 sandisk microsd card kept dismounting / remounting. Ended up that the card wouldn't read in my phone at all but it would on my computer. I called sandisk and they said it was a Samsung problem (it's not). The Samsung representative told me that sandisk was fully aware that their 32gb / 64gb class 10 cards were malfunctioning on Galaxy S4's causing SD cards to fail, sd readers to fry, and even in extreme cases causing dead batteries/frying your phone. She gave me a direct number for sandisk that directly dealt with this issue and they will replace your card (they have limited life time warranties regardless). The new cards are fixed as it was only a certain batch of cards but if you ever had a random dismount problem or it's a reoccurring problem call sandisk to get your card replaced. Don't believe me, call bs as it wasn't a news worthy droid life or bgr post, I don't care I'm just sharing info that a Samsung representative told me and it may save someone's battery or even worse phone.

Ugh. My wife has intermittent dismount issues. PM me the number?
This was actually brought up a while ago. Your TLDR is misleading. A while ago sandisk produced a whole lot of 64GB cards prone to failure. Its not that this isn't news worthy, it is just old news. Of course it takes time for stock to clear, and you got one of the bad ones.
I still recommend Samsung UHS over a c10 sanfisk though

One day it dismounted, and I didn't think anything of it. went to use it and it wouldn't work in my phone, so I put it in the computer, and it still wouldn't work. I just assumed it died on me, but maybe it has something to do with this issue. Any chance I could get that number as well? Maybe I can get another, or send this one back and get a replacement or something. It's not the money, it's just the principal of the situation.

Confirmed.
I went through 3 Sandisk class 10 64GB cards. They start to mount and dismount, it gradually gets worse then one day they dismount and don't come back. Can't even read them in an external reader on a PC.
When my 3rd one started doing it I just gave up and ordered a Samsung 64GB card which works perfectly. Gave the Sandisk to the wife to use in her S3, works great there.
My wife's GS4 was doing the mounting/dismounting thing with my old 32 GB SanDisk Ultra (class 10) card that worked fine in my Note 2 for a few months before I upgraded to a 64GB card, so I gave her my 32GB card. I kept it in the phone, but just manually dismounted it so she wouldn't see it anymore (good thing I got her a 32GB GS4 so she had plenty of internal storage too), but it would still occasionally freak out when she let the phone die and then booted it back up. But I just installed the 4.3 OTA update today and it seems to be functioning fine now. I haven't seen it spontaneously dismount the card at all in the past few hours and I was able to use it to store pics on from the camera. So maybe this was an issue with the GS4 and not the SD card? Like I said; it worked perfectly in my Note 2 for a few months and I tested/formatted it on my PC several times to ensure it was a good card, but her phone still freaked out with it consistently before the last update. Its only been a few hours so far though, so it could very well start wigging out again, but I'll definitely post back if it does. Also, her GS4 worked fine with some old 16GB cards that we had from previous phones too, so it seems that both the phone and the card were at fault somehow.
This happens to me all the time (I have the 32GB ultra lass 10), every time I unlock my phone it has a notification saying the SD card has been removed or improperly unmounted. I' on 4.3 and it didn't solve the issue.
I hope it's an issue with the card and not the phone, I wouldn't be able to get a replacement since rooting left me on custom status...

its the card.. it does that when they start going bad and eventually will not mount in computer either. I always keep spares around.. with 4 phones and 2 tablets.. at least one per year goes bad.
i had a the sandisk 64gb card you are talking about and it fried after about a month. sandisk was cool about it and sent me a replacement card pretty quickly. i haven't had issues with the replacement card yet.....
I think you all should knkw that the nonhlos modem files are causing this behavior. I just tried upgrading from mdk to mj7 nonhlos file and this exact behavior occured. I confirmed by going back to the mdk nonhlos and everything is fine. This is with a sandisk 64gb

Hi,
I searched the threads to see if this question was answered and couldn't come up with any. So i figure why not ask. Anyway I know the HTC One didn't have an SD card slot. I read somewhere the One Max will have an SD card slot. My question is does the US versions of One Max for either Verizon or Sprint have an SD card slot?
I have it, Verizon Max.
All versions of the One MAX has a SD card slot.
