Desktop Charger - Nokia Lumia 800

I've tried having a look around and I can't find a desk charger/cradle for the Lumia 800, I know the hinged door cover makes it hard but does anyone know of one that is compatible?
Thanks!

I bought this N9 charger and it works well:

Unfortunately, it's out of stock on amazon but may be available in UK

Thanks, I'll have a look at it. Where is the micro usb socket on the n9? How does this dock deal with the open door on the 800?

Same place, top left. The N9 & Lumia 800 have the same body (barring camera button and flash LED placement).

Awesome, thanks! I was a bit worried that the phone would have to be put upside down in the cradle.
I'm off to see I can find it in stock somewhere.

That only stands the phone up, the USB charger goes in the top as normal. You'd be better off (and save money) by just leaning it against something while it's charging.
It's not the same as an iPhone dock (or some HTC docks) which connect the phone directly to a charger when you place it in the dock.

htc rhyme has connectors on the back... thats what i call dock

I say, this is a marvelous find on my behalf, I was getting to the notion that I may just have to leave my phone in a horizontal position on my desk for the rest of eternity.

[Q] Docking HD2 With Android with just a MicroUSB and a Magnet?

Is it possible to use a magnet along with the MicroUSB cable to "Dock" the HD2 Phone in Android?
If I understand correctly, some phones require a magnet to go into docking mode.
There are some people that made a DIY dock like this Droid owner here for example:

The magnet will touch a small part of the part somewhere on the back of the phone, using either positive or negative magnetism.
The phone will dock in either desk or car mode depending on the magnetism.
DIY HD2 Docks are common like donkeypunch85
I found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=758884&highlight=dock
I have a car dock myself similar to this one here
http://www.amazon.com/GTMax-Windshi..._17?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1259963538&sr=8-17
If I can't do my DIY dock then I guess I can just buy one like these:

I have searched for an answer for my question in the forums and the wiki, but nothing relevant.

I have a Energy Rom and Android on my SD card.
Basically the "Dock" Menu in Android Settings Menu got me all curious.

I know that I can also just use the Car Home app in Android, but I want
to know if I can use this method to do it Automatically.
Thanks.
Update:
I found a great app called Dock Simulator that lets me manipulate some dock options. This helps me out and anyone else interested.

Still haven't found out if a magnet can trigger the dock mode in HD2.
Tried using a refrigerator magnet moving it along the back when I connect the cable but no dice. Maybe magnets wont trigger the HD2 hmmm :/

annoying for this is exactly what i'd like!
Would this not work with the Vega in Host Mode?
I got one of these for my Advent Vega from Amazon for £16.99 delivered. It's OK. Regarding the comments made earlier:-
Problems:
"--Pin chassis, right, blocks the usb and HMDI, (with scissors and cut it to plug the usb). For there is no solution HMDI."
I guess u can cut the lug off but I didnt. Instead I bent back the right hand lug (which is designed to secure the tablet in the case) and put a little velcro on the back of the unit and the case to keep the Vega in place.
"--The keyboard does not work (The solution is to plug a hub)"
My keyboard works fine, although it took me some time to figure out why it didnt work from the off. Being a newbie to android, I didn't understand the usb host / slave stuff and there may have been another complication. I had to check the modaco forum to figure out what to do.
"Advantages:
--10$"
Damn. I paid nearly double that!
"at the end he finished in a forgotten drawer."
I like the case and use it now and then. However I primarily wanted the keyboard for use when travelling to enable me to edit word documents and the like (i.e using the Vega as a laptop/netbook substitute) which is when this particular case comes in handy. Mostly I use my Vega in pure tablet form so I normally keep it in a regular 10" protective sleeve.

Looks awesome
You just saved me £10, thanks!

[Q] HTC Jetstream Bent pins... Anyone done repair on one yet?

I have had it for years, love it, I let my mom borrow and she tried to force the charger in upside down. Anyone have any info on replacing the usb/charger port? pics, advice, prayers, anything would be better than going in blind. I have not opened it yet, but is the footprint the same as a micro-USB (which I am kinda assuming) could I possible just replace the usb with micro-USB port?
thanks in advance
cheers,

I've indicated which three connections that you will have to unplug -- in addition to unscrewing the charging board. The only two tools that you should need are a pry tool (a knife will probably do) and a Philips or Frearson screwdriver.
i had the same idea of doing that, but as far as i know that is impossible

Gear S charging problem

So my Gear S does not fully latch on to the charging cradle anymore it only adheres to the back what has happened. I don't want to get a new one that I have to pay alot for so for now I have a hair tie to hold it together that is the only way it will charge for now. However I don't want it to ruin my watch to the point where it will not charge at all. Any ideas or solutions

Try this .....
Ok so I just saw the charger the top piece broke off a little which holds the cradle in place. So for now I will try the pill bottle method if not hair tie it will be.
Both my clips broke
Both of mine broke and now it's a real PIA.
I really can't believe Samsung came up with such a horrible design when such a simple and effective method like what LG or even Apple is going to use exists. I still enjoy my gear S but now that both clips are broken, I really am ticked as it's making charging a PIA.
I've already made the decision to switch to the LG Urbane LTE the moment it's available in the US and while I don't know when that will be, I'm definitely going to make the move. IMO it looks 1000% better too.
In the mean time, I just jumped on Amazon and via Prime ordered the cheap charger only cradle for the Gear S. Due to arrive Tuesday so I'll post back the findings but the dozen plus reviews show it works perfectly. I don't really use the built in battery on the existing one much if at all since the Gear S holds a charge so long.

Just call Samsung and they will replace it.

Looking for Wireless Charger. Does it matter which one ?

Hey there ! Im looking for Wireless Charger for G3. Does it matter which one i choose ?
I like to buy things on site called "TinyDeal" So can someone recommend me like 3 different Wireless chargers from this site ? Im noob in this and i dont want to do something wrong..
Which variant of the G3 do you own? That matters
Would the Samsung S6 wireless charger work? Does the wireless charging work with phone casing? Example TPU casing. Using D855.
Just make sure the charger support Qi standard which G3 is using
Get the cheapest one, because they all charge at the same rate. The only difference is the range and some features
Today i bought the easychee T300 charger. I know its a very expensive charger, but I think it is great to have 3 coils, so the positioning of my phone on the charger matters not so much.
Tomorrow (≈12h) I can tell you more.
Ok
I am on D855 and tried original (WCD100 or something like that) So far i like it because it's stand and charger...Nice for White office !
So every charge at same rate ? That's new for me.
Thanks for info guys !
