On latest firmware...clicked on a video in youtube app, its stuck on the "waiting circle" (no video or precaching or any indication of tranferring data through wifi)
Cannot uninstall bc its a system app, uninstalled and reinstalled flash, cleared cache...dunno what else to try...
Youtube through browser works fine though...
Anyone having the same problem??

i just backed up all my data and apps using titanium backup and did a factory reset, this seems to have fixed the problem

I just noticed a very weird issue on my sgs2: YouTube app does not work.. I can't view any video. Search don't work. Can't even load up my favorite... it always shows "there was a problem connecting to the network" . Also, when using the browser, trying to connect to connect to www.youtube.com also yield "data connectivity problem. The server failed to communicate. Try again later." I know that the YouTube server is fine... YouTube site and app works perfectly on my galaxy tab 10.1. I'm not sure what could be wrong on my phone... please help!!!!!
I'm not sure if this is related but.... last week my phone had an issue all of a sudden... the Google account stopped working, I couldn't connect to gtalk, gmail don't work, internet browser works but just none of the Google services work. I researched online and found that using an app to fix this issue: htchost. I ran it and it fixed all my Google account issues. I haven't used YouTube at all these days so I'm not sure if this is at all related.
I just tried to run htchost on YouTube but doesn't fix this issue... anyone know what may be causing this??

have you tried just uninstalling it and reinstalling from market?
YouTube came pre-installed... I can't uninstall it
Check the date and time on your phone. If it doesn't work I guess you'll have to titanium backup your phone and wipe data and cache. Maybe just update the ROM as well.

I'm not too sure what you mean by check the date and time. It's set automatically by the carrier network and it is correct. BTW I updated YouTube from the market, still makes. No difference.
ok I figured out why... it's my hosts file being screwed up by the app... manually editing the hosts file and removed the entries for YouTube fixed the problem

Hi all,
The past weeks I tried some different roms (Neutrino, Nottachtrix, CM9). Since I flashed CM7.2-RC3, Instagram is missing at the Google Play store. After updating to the stable the problem still exists.
It's a bit wired. When I log in to the Google Play store on my computer, instagram is shown as a compatible app and I do have the possibility to send that app to my Attrix. If I try the same via the Play app on my phone, instagram does not appear or is shown as a not compatible app.
Before installing the roms I had always deleted the user and data cache...
Can anyone help?
It happens sometimes here. I install via PC or stop-n-clean data of Market and try again and again. (usually 2-3 times, and Instagram returns)

Just a really small problem here, nonetheless slightly annoying.
The trending now on my youtube app wouldn't refresh. So basically I am stuck with stuff 1 week ago.
Tried clearing cache, data and uninstalling updates, but nothing worked. I can't uninstall the system app
as I haven't rooted my phone yet.
Anyone else having this problem?
I have the same problem but when I uninstall my app then install it again the problem was fixed! Try to delete your app then install newer or older version of app!

So is anyone else having issues where when you want to Download an Album or Playlist on Google Play Music (Subscription) it goes to the Download Queue in "Manage Downloads" but it doesn't download? Even if you are on WIFI? I have spoken to Google and they have to escalate to try to resolve the problem.
I have uninstalled, re installed, cleared app cache, installed to device storage and my SD card. I tried downloading off my mobile Data but the only error I get is "Cannot download". While on Wifi I get nothing. Nothing happens at all. I remember this happening to a smaller degree before, but I just closed app and restarted and it would start downloading.
I do have the newest version of Play Music. But I havent seen anyone post anything about this.
I should mention I have HTC One M8 and I have not had this problem with Play Music since ive had the phone for the last 4 months.

I had the same problem with ZTE Imperial (only with any kind of download) and it turned out being my phone. It would say that it is recieving data but wouldnt do anything intill i turned my wifi on/off. I solved my problem with a simple system update. Hope it works for you

I've been having issues with youtube app, both vanced and default.
I updated vanced app, think I also updated busybox, magisk and other stuff because I didn't use the tablet for few weeks. After that and few days it suddenly started freezing up. The app freezes but video keeps going on and then the popup with youtube has stopped responding wait or kill. Sometimes after pressing wait it starts working again but most of the time no. Sometimes google play services starts crashing too.
Ive uninstalled vanced but same goes on with default, i rolled back updates, same, installed different version of both ot and google play and same happens, also cleared cache many times, wiped delvik and cache too to no avail.
Youtube is my app I use on the tablet and it's been very annoying. I'd factory reset but i have no access to pc at the moment and i wouldn't know how to root it again, had help last time :/ any ideas what to do or try?
I'll have my pc in few days but it's really disappointing I'll have to go though the trouble of reseting it, setgi g it upz rooting and all that just because youtube doesn't work and i cant figure out why, googled long and wide but no luck
Just went through factory reset (or well wiped data, cache and dalvik) and during setup google play services has stopped working pops up and takes a long time to finish the setup. Upon finishing youtube still doesnt work lol, what to do next, flash something? I really don't get what could have gone so wrong
