In case you run into the same problem I did:
Samsung Galaxy Player Reboots, and dose not get past the pulsing logo.
Here's what you do:
First Try to reboot, by holding the power button,
if it still dose not get past the pulsing logo
remove your battery for 30-60 seconds and reboot.(SGP 4.0)
Still no luck?
power off, and take out your microSD card, then reboot.
if it boot's I suggest running CHKDSK on your microSD
then put the card back in.
if it still dose not work, you may have to reflash your firmware.
(more info in the SGP dev section)
the MicroSD removal worked for me
oops, I think I may have put this in the wrong section X(
Dude that method wont work if you F*cked up your system and there is already a thread on that.

This is not supposed to be about getting bricked, or stuck in boot loops from a messed up system,
Some times your SD card's files get messed up, and the device will not start up until you remove the card.

Ok so i recently tried to boot The Platypus rom and it had success but now my phone has just been looping from the original sgh screen and then it will flash the Platypus boot and then it will appear for about 3 seconds, after that sometimes in will show CWR and then for a split second the yellow triangle will show up. My phone just keeps doing it over and over. I tried to recover but it says there no recovery
How do i fix this?!
hey, sorry bro..my advice sort of got you here. But from what your describing...if that were to happen to me. I would straight up pull battery, plug in usb cable...hold volume down while re-inserting battery. bam download mode. Back to stock. Repeat from start.

!!!! I JUST TRIED THIS AND NOW MY PHONE DOESN"T BOOT !!!
-Can someone please help me, I made a backup of the bootanimation file and copied over the edited one, rebooted phone and now it stays on the motorola red icon saying "dual core Technology" underneath and never gets passed that, my phone doesn't work now!?!?
-I have pulled the battery several times, the phone is still currecntly stuck right now for over an hour and i can't use it, i just lossed my phone... Is there something i can anything? I have even tried pulling my sd card and sim card, nothing works just hangs on motorola start up screen.
I don't know if there is a safe mode but i have tried doing the hold vol dwn + pwr and tried fast boot but can't get anything just sits on "starting fastboot protocol support", i do not have a recovery program on the phone either. I would really enjoy not having to do a factory reset from the settings, is there anything else i can do???
Please help, thank you!
I tried doing a factory reset and that didn't work either...?
Did you install cwm?

Hi
I used the factory reset function on my tab a couple days ago to delete all apps and such and upon reboot it was stuck at the slowly flashing Samsung logo and would proceed no further. I left it for a good hour and a half in that state before I tried hard resetting it but no dice. I've had it do this before when I first rooted it, but unlike that time it doesn't replay the whole boot animation, just the logo part at the end of the animation. I managed to get it in clockwork mod or bootloader whatever that function is and cleared all the caches and did a reboot recovery (i believe thats what it was called) but upon reboot it did the same exact thing. So after that I gave up and went to bed, but the next day when I went back at it again it wouldn't even turn on. After messing around with the power button and volume button trying to get into recovery mode it finally turned on but went to the battery screen with no other actions. I've tried several times to get it into recovery mode but it either wont turn on or it just goes to the battery screen. I have it plugged into my pc at the moment and apparently it is in recovery mode or something because Odin recognizes it. Says [0:COM3] and the box is yellow, but the screen never turns on though when holding the power button and volume button while it's plugged into a pc, the pc recognizes something plugged into the USB slot. My pc is only recognizing it as a modem and will do nothing else with it.
I have the Starburst rom and the overclocked kernel installed and would like to either revert it to stock rom or perhaps the AOKP rom, milestone 6. Is there any way to do this if I can't boot it into a state where I can access the SD card on my pc? All the guides I've found always require I put files on the sd card to flash in clockwork recovery mod. Thanks for any assistance
Edit: Solved it myself, feel free to delete this post. Thanks!
Started two days ago. Phone would randomly power off and boot back up. Finally it shut off and would not power back on. I had Cm11 installed with CWM 4.0.4.6. The phone powers on after inserting the battery. The Samsung logo flashes and then it shows the "Galaxy S3" logo with the CM logo below it. The phone the powers off. I have done a factory reset, cleared both caches, formatted the system folder, flashed SlimKat from recovery and tried another known good battery. At this point I figured I would reflash CWM but if I put the phone into download mode, it powers off after just a few seconds as well.
If I boot the phone into CWM, the phone stays on as long as I want it to so it makes me think this might be fixable. Just need some help.
Ask in your device forums.
My apologies. Didnt realize there was another S3 board. Found and posted there.
So I rooted my HTC ONE S (villec2) today, and I wanted to flash a custom rom on it. I got a recovery (turned out to be a bad one, but it worked either way.... I noticed way too late it was made for HTC One M8) I got TWRP 2.7.1.0 and I got it working on my phone. I then backed up the system, and realized I messed up the recovery. In the meantime I got a CM 12.1 img on it and wiped the thing. The wipe removed the old Android system and the CM I downloaded was a bad download. If I go to recovery in the bootloader, it will just do the HTC white screen with "Entering Recovery" and the red warning logo but it won't get anywhere. It's just stuck there. So now, I'm stuck with a device that won't boot normally - just stuck on the white HTC screen, will boot into bootloader, and I want to know if there's a way of accessing the internal storage without being in the operating system. The worst thing is, there's no external SD Card, all just internal... Please god help me. I'm really stressing out about this since it's the only phone I have and if I lose it.... well I'm practically f-ed.... :crying: I know that I messed a few things up really badly and I'm not sure what state the phone is in.
Also just to add, the phone is barely loading up right now. I'm really scared since it's my only phone and it won't even boot normally right now. It's really acting strange, it was on 90% battery but now it might just be dead... i don't know.... someone please help
I honestly think I screwed it up.... All it does now is just a white flash / flicker when I hold the power button (both only power button and vol down) and that's it. I'm really disappointed right now but oh well.... Maybe just because the battery is not charged.... Also been looking around the other threads and looks like a lot of people had the same issue but with 0 replies...

I have no way of trying the stock rom. I cannot access the phone itself because I deleted the OS. There's a weird thing, that if I plug the USB to the computer, it does the connect windows sound but the phone's internal storage is still not accessible.... So as it turns out I can get to the freaking bootloader but then it just turns off with a white flicker a second later.... I have no clue what to do :crying:
try to hook your device with windows and hold the Volume Down and Power
to see if it can detect it

Alright. I slept through the night and now I'm here trying to resolve this again. Status now, is that when I try to boot it up, it just shows a white flicker and won't turn on. no matter if i try to boot in bootloader or normally. The device doesn't appear to be charging when I plug it in because it doesn't show the LED light for charging. I think it's hard bricked. I tried other threads, showing bright light to the proximity sensor, but nothing happened.
//edit// - My bootloader was unlocked, and I was on S-ON (HTC ONE S, S3 villec2) that might change on your phone and might make the process different
So I fixed it. I will leave the tutorial for anyone in the future that might be having the same issue. If you "locked yourself out" of your system, eg. no OS, and broken recovery just plug it into the computer, try somehow getting into bootloader, go into fastboot and plug the usb cable to your computer so you're in Fastboot USB. Then you can flash a recovery on the phone using a fastboot command. I believe it's fastboot flash recovery _filename_. Just google that, there'll be plenty. Then you have the recovery and you're back on track. After that you can get the rom you wanted. Just don't make my mistake, and check if your device is exactly the same as the files you're downloading for it. I messed up there . Anyway, good luck everyone!
t
yea
Happy to hear that u have fixed your phone add "solved " to the title and add a fast tutorial for help purpose
