Thanks....
I had this same thing happen to my phone. When I got the phone, I never saw the weather animations. Since I don't use the big digital clock that comes default with the phone, I don't even use the HTC weather stuff on the phone.
This morning when I turned on the screen, there was like sun sprite that showed up in the top right hand of the screen. Thought it was a bit weird and I had never seen it before.
As the morning went by, I started to look to see what was causing it. Then I started seeing clouds as well.
I looked at a lot of "fixes" for this, and nothing worked.
Eventually, I ended up freezing the HTC weather stuff, rebooted the phone and the animation was gone.
Not really sure what caused it to start showing up in the beginning, but I had not seen it since I first got my phone last Thursday until this morning.
Attached shows what I froze using Titanium Backup. You need root to do this.

BTW, I am a weather nut, so I do look at weather on my phone. I have my own weather station and a number of standard and mobile sites etc... I just don't ever use the HTC Weather stuff because I am more interested in MY stations weather rather than the generic weather in the area.

As you can see from the picture, it looks like an LCD desk clock at night, and also has an alarm function (with variable sound alert) and you can also change the colours of the display thru the RGB scale!

Should take you to a page on the forum with more information!
I use it on my HD2 and it works like a charm!!
Fantastic, looks like the exact thing i am after thank you
Is it possible to add other weather conditions to Sense? Today for example it comes across as "Dreary". I was like, WTF does that mean - weather-wise? I looked it up - it's an adjective: Dull, bleak, and lifeless; depressing. Anyway, I would not characterize the weather as that - it's more dusty than anyting. When I looked at my Rainmeter desktop I see it gives me more of an accurate weather reading - "Blowing Dust" - it pulls from weather.com. Is there a way to add other weather types like this? Or change where Sense is pulling it's weather information form?

I'm afraid you have to put up with the dreary weather
There are quite some third party weather apps, but the built-in HTC one is not hackable as far as I know

That's what I figured. Been using Sense, since it was TouhFlo, so I figured I've give XDA a shot. If they haven't hacked it, no one has...
I'm using Nova Prime and Desktop visualizer along with Simi Folder to create this look:

Problem is that every time I do anything -- unlock the phone, open a folder, etc., the screen refreshes everything, I see the little hourglasses, and I have to wait a split second for all of the icons to return. It's not the end of the world, but it does disrupt the experience some.
Anyone have an idea on what's happening, and whether there is a workaround?
I'm using Nova Prime and Simi widget with no issues. Maybe desktop Visualizer is the culprit.

it also happen to me im not using desktop but it does refresh when i unlock i do use golocker though
I've been continuing to mess around with this, and I'm disappointed to report that nova appears to be the culprit. Tried the exact same configuration using adx ex and it works fine without any refresh. Quite bummed because I had been loving nova so far. Oh well.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Had that same issue, moved to APEX and its been working much better.
I however was using desktop viz and mclock and minimalistic text ( which has also been giving me trouble saving profiles)
Hi, today I noticed this icon in my notification bar, and I really can't find what it is. Anybody knows??

it's what usually appears when the notification bar has run out of space to display anymore stuff....but not in your case it seems! Try clearing any notifications if you have any, otherwise try a reboot
No no this icon actually means that notifications are turned off, turn notifications back on and it wll go away.
Assuming you are running a slightly older firmware too as this icon changed to something that makes more sense a few revisions ago.
Again? This kind of thread pops up EVERY other day and I have answered just about everyone.
Your notifications are off. Turn them on.
Can we get a big sticky thread that says, "IF YOU HAVE THIS ICON IN YOUR NOTIFICATION BAR, LOOK HERE!!". ???
baldi - funny you say that - I honestly thought I'd somehow clicked onto a post from several weeks back as I have answered a couple of these myself

Hey guys,
I've got the S6 Edge and have recently noticed that occasionally a screen pops up indicating the charge status on the lock screen when I'm charging my phone. On the screen, it has a round and green charge meter. Under that it says which type of charge it currently is doing: speed, continuous, or trickle. Then there seems to be a big ad for installing Samung +. I had previously never seen it before. To my knowledge, I've never changed settings that would enable it. I'm currently trying to disable it, but I don't see the option to do so. Could it be associated with a specific app? Any help would be greatly appreciated! (I've got two screenshots of the indicator I'm talking about, but the system won't allow me to attach them until I have 10 posts.)
(I apologize if this topic has already been covered. I tried using the search function and was presented with mostly Quick Charge issues. If so, send me to that thread and I'll delete this one.)

My wife's phone (Moto G 2015) is having the same issue. No idea what it is and we've uninstalled a ton of aps already.
This started happening to me today and I've figured out from another forum that it's because I had a Go app installed. I had Go Weather installed which I've used for years because I like the widget. Unfortunately it gives no indication that it will alter the lock screen and there's no option to turn it off which I find unacceptable so I've had to uninstall it now.
