Sorry nobody is helping you. I really can't help either. I think I saw a post about an app in app store that lets you change carriers, but I have no idea where I saw the post and can't remember the apps name.

Search for SGS secret codes in the Market, it let me go to DIAG menu. The tab is not recognized by any program though... Does anybody have any exp on that? Would be very appreciated.
PS Does anyone know if it's possible to have 3G internet on this tablet through RUIM CDMA sim or GSM sim? Thanks.
*update+question*
Earlier I had experience of flashing I800 Verizon's Galaxy Tab to other carrier, but this time situation seems to be worse. This LTE tab when connected to PC doesn't find all the drivers needed. This happens after it's setup for carrier flashing in DIAG mode - both UART and MODEM are set to modem. There is always one out of three drivers that's not found in device manager. Nothing can be done by any program - all of them connect successfully to the port, but are unable to make further progress (no communication with device).
Gurus and everyone, please! Does anybody have any suggestions of what could be possibly done? SIM-card slot as I understand is designed for LTE sim-cards and at the same time is locked to Verizon, that's pity.

Can you please dedicate some time and describe exactly step by step what you did, what operating system did you use, the drivers that you installed, and how you were able to work with tablet? Thanx.
Edit: Well I kinda misread it, Damn the late night reading.
I do know of Market Unlocker to enable fake carrier's but for market only. Not entirely sure about the whole ACTUAL carrier change, You may need to however do some hex editing to the carrier locked devices, Back in the 9003 forums there were users who complained on Starhub blocking their device from using other carrier sim's and they found a way to hex edit the nv_data.bin

That's the model number in the about phone screen? What about on the label under the battery?
EDIT: I see, after a quick google search, it is yet another variant. Most common in Japan, where you are. I was unable to find out what SoC/chipset this phone uses, so do NOT use just any Galaxy S2 root method randomly. Especially don't use any from this forum for the I9100. Chances are very good that will brick your phone. Sorry I don't have any better answers for you.
Here is the chip set on it I got from quadrant score....sooooo out looks like we can't do anything with this phone begging to be unleashed?....the info is in the pic below

You could try zergRush. It reportedly doesn't work on 2.3.6 or higher, but you could try it.
Is that supported for Mac though?
Sent from my ISW11SC using XDA
I don't know. I've never used it. Look it up.
rooted.
I have had this phone for about a month. Just to say that I rooted it the day i got it.
I just used an old microSD card and rooted from this link. (The link to the .zp file is gone, but i found another way - see second link. Should also work fine)

Anyway, its great because I managed to get rid of a lot of AU bloatware. Now trying to figure out how to replace the horrible AU mail programs (SMS/MMS - they both suck so badly) with GO SMS PRO. No idea what the MMS settings for KDDI are though. SMS works fine through GO SMS PRO.
What I would ultimately like to do is to flash this with a better optimized rom. i feel there is so much potential for this phone, but AU (like most other carriers) has filled it with junk....
sooooo...if google translate is correct ( when is ever) I'm suppose to download the recovery.zip to sd card...install it...reboot...then install the root.zip from sd card and reboot and that should give me root for this phone?? any chance of me bricking it????
screw it ill give it a try...lol....balls to the ways...by the way i'm looking into the APN/MMS settings for KDDI...you know your AU address...
THis worked outstanding...except it wouldn't read the sd card when i tried the root.zip install....but all i did was used file manager...copied it to the internal sd...reboot into recovery and installed the root.zip....i shall make a new thread with this information from you....i know there are more of the SGS2 Wimax users....let the root madness begin...
EDIT: I put together a small guide on How To Root SG2 Wimax here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576000 ...let me know if you guys have any questions and I'll try to answer them the best I can....
Good Morning,
I have searched around these forums as well as other websites and have not had much luck with a root kit being available.
Phone Info:
Samsung Galaxy SIII Progre
Model: SCL21
Droid Version: 4.0.4
Build Number: IMM76D.SCL21KDALJD
Carrier: Au/KDDI
I have found one other thread about this on these forums, but not much help in that thread.

I was wondering if there might be a forum/development for this model of S3. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Has that model the same specs as the SC-06D from docomo? If yes, try that rooting method.
Edit:
Just checked it! Should be the same phone. all specs are the same.
So try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895737
It should work.
But if not, dont blame me!
Cheers

Hey, important information. Don't try to use a manual intended for docomo phone (Galaxy S III SD-06). I tried it and now my phone is bricked.
If you explore any rooting method, please send me an email ....
Oh. Okay. Thanks for the info! I thought it would work because the phones are identical!!!!
Send from my C64 using load " Tapatalk ", 8,1 and run!

I'm having the same issue. with the AU SCL21. I did find that you can flash with the team epic CWM recovery method. or the Mskip toolkit method.
(i would have provide links. but I have to adhere to the policy here). feel free to msg me.
Once I flash, however it won't boot into recovery. the SGSIII logo appears upside down, and just hangs. Sometimes, it will boot into normal mode after it hangs a bit. but it's never booted into recovery. I've flashed 23 times now, and used several good micro usb cables. If anybody could help with this, Man i'd be so happy.
Messaging App missing?
Would you happen to know where the native android messaging application is on this device? I'm running 4.0.4 on the SLC21 and I ONLY have the AU SMS service (which makes me want to die a little inside). I've tried using secondary messaging services but they all work off of the database from the native android "Messaging" app. My phone does not have that application apparently and I can't seem to find it anywhere. My Kanji is non-existent so if they hid it somewhere and are calling it something else I can't find it. Any ideas? I want my SMS's to migrate to a different messaging service because I'm texting US numbers as well through TextPlus.

Dunno if you ever found a solution to this, but in case you haven't then it's your lucky day. Not however that neither of these lets to text US numbers for free.
You can't "migrate" your SMS to a different service, but you can access them with a different app. I found out today that if you are a Facebook user then Facebook Messenger works for both FB Chat and SMS. Download the program, login, then getting into the apps settings and turn on SMS texting. It will capture your texts and thread them into a conversation.
If you happen to not use Facebook for whatever reason, then Go SMS Pro also does a fine job. Whichever method you choose, make sure to disable the AU SMS in the Application Management section of the phones settings so that you don't get dual notifications. Hope that helps.
Are you able to do the unlocking

I am not sure if you have found a way to root your phone or not, but I just recently got to Japan and got the exact same phone. I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DouktjBrS5w on youtube on how to root it. I used that method, it took a couple of tries, because it was my first root, but it works. I hope this helps
I really hope someone can help. I have been reading XDA for a few years and had 1 thread and always read before asking. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 from Amazon. I never had any problems with there service. I am from the US and am overseas for the next year. I had someone bring the phone to me. I decided to root my phone thinking it was an i9300 because that whats written on the back and also what it said inside the phone (settings-about phone).
GT-I9300
Android v 4.1.1
Firmware Build ID JRO03L
Firmware Build PDA I9300ZSEMC
Firmware Region TGY
When I first plugged in the usb to my laptop I noticed that it was trying to install T999 drivers I was confused for a moment until it installed I9300 drivers. I then used CF-auto root , which to my surprise didn't work. So I tried Cf auto Root for T999 and again I was surprised...it worked. I then installed a app called CPU-identifier from google play store. I started it up and again to my surprise it said that my phone had S4 snapdragon 1.5 dual core, 2GB RAM inside - this was 3 days ago. Last night I had the S3 plugged in and was pasting Hyperdrive Rom to my SD card and I was about to flash. I rebooted my phone to TWRP 2.5( I had installed that one ) I was in and out of there multiple time for the past few days with no FC's. My phone just cut off... I retried to boot it and nothing. Tried download mode(volume down, menu and power) tried recovery (volume up, menu and power). When I plug it in without battery the red light comes on for a couple of minutes. Also when I plug it to my laptop it makes the reading noise but does not actually read anything. I tried reinstalling the drivers a few times.
I just don't understand why and also I can't figure out why it says it is an i9300 but has the S4 snapdragon processor. By the way even An-Tu-Tu say that it has S4 snapdragon inside. My 2 questions are 1) Is it possible to fix this? 2) Is it possible to have an I9300 with the S4 processor inside? Being that I'm 8000 miles from America I have no way of taking it back. Any help would be appreciated. I've also read about "sudden death" is this a possibility? Sorry for the long thread, just wanted to give all information.

By the description you are giving that ur s3 has a snapdragon s4 processor ,a 2 gb ram it has to be a north american version(as u specified T999) because the int s3(i9300) has an 1.4ghz quad core processor with 1gb of ram so basically you cannot have an i9300 with a snapdragon s4 processor. i think it is the software as u say it shows i9300 in the settings but the CF-Auto root worked for T999. This is a very strange case! But if it is the hardware then u definitely cannot fix it (That is you cannot change the processor or the ram). But anyways it has to be the software ...ill try finding for similar cases and then leave some links for u to check .

Thanks for your quick response and any help would be great. I forgot to mention that in both cases where I tried to boot into download mode and recovery didn't work. I now think my phone may be bricked because when i plug it into PC it tries to install (QHSUSB_DLOAD). I googled it and they stated that when it does this it is bricked. I have no way to send to America to fix it. I just don't understand how that it is possible to get European phone with SGH T999 hardware-software.... very strange.
Another thing...if I can get odin to recognize it which firmware do I install, I9300 or T999? I believe that I need T999 because both An-Tu-Tu and CPU Identifier Id both came back with Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 Adreno 225. Thank for your time
Another quick question if I just successfully unbricked my fully bricked phone using debicked SGH t999 img file does that mean my firmware should be t999? Look at the following screen shots 2 were taken before the brick and 2 were taken a few minutes age. Any other answers for the confused Galaxy I own? Is this a normal thing a European I9300 with a T999 hardware and I9300 software? Someone please explain what to do now in Odin. Do I need to flash what my setting say? And if I do flash for I9300 won't it brick because of the CPU being Qualcomm Snapdragon S4? HELP ME! This has been driving me nuts....

I'm facing the same problem i.e. settings>about device> says GT-I9300 while I go into download mode it says SGH-T999. All I want to confirm now is this:-
1) Can I root it using methods mentioned in xda forums of Galaxy S3 T-mobile i.e. here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-t-mobile ?
2)Can I install this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2176768 ?
EDIT : I rooted the phone using link 1, Now should I go for the roms mentioned in T-mobile S3 forum? Should I install the modem also?
Hi! I bought an unlocked HTC One M8 in Italy (CID HTC__405). LTE is not working. I'm in Argentina and carriers use bands 4 and 28. The thing is that I read a little guide that came inside the box, and realised that the phone only have bands 3, 7, 8 and 20. So, I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059 and this one too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/general/lte-band-7-2600mhz-finally-guide-t2992523
I could get my phone recognised by QLST and QXDM, but when I write the new values to 6828 and 6829 and reboot my phone, the values remain like the old ones. I'm right now at SUPERCID and S-OFF. I don't know what to do, please help me!
I want to share also that the original value is 524484, this is 10000000000011000100, that according to the guide means that enabled bands are 2, 6, 7 and 19, and not 3, 7, 8 and 20. So this suggests that band 1 should be position 0 instead of position 1, like the thread says.
I hope you guys can help me,
Thanks!
Lucas

Hi,
I have the same problem.
After the reboot restores the "factory" settings section.
Identical in Section 1877 - written 0 by QXDM later 2307813334319039360 by RF NV Manager and after a reboot returns the value 82314112.
Sections 6828 is the value of 65544, which returns after a reboot
In 6829 sections can edit the value. After the restart does not change, but it does not change anything. I do not have LTE band 3.

Any ideas?

This forum is specific to the HTC M8. You should ask in your specific device forums. Hacks for other devices can be harmful to your phone, or might not work anyway.

I guess you know how to enable Diag and use QPST,
Just share a file for who need band1 with H1511, never test since no phone on hand, need your trial.
How to ? :
STEP1 flash the B12 enabled Radio trying to enable Diag port, detail:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/fastboot-activate-band-12-volte-t3239652
STEP2 restore one of this qcn inside View attachment H1512_H1511_B1_B38_B39_B40.zip,
and restart your phone to see do you get B1 connect or not, LTE Discovery can help you to see the band info.
you can choose the qcn from the shortest one to long name one, just try and let us know which is good for you.

It's not working.as I try the first time you done filter the QCN.but someone whom interest in this can try it. If anyone whom want to try it you will also need a SPC,or you need to zero out modemst1 and modem st2partition.do a backup before you try any thing

Thank you for so fast feedback, do you mind to send me your qcn before and after restore to let me see what is lack?
Awesome job again,i think it will be more attractive for the China Telecom user as the Band 1 was just allowed to deploy over the whole country,But i am wondering how about the qualcomm FED think about this, haha,BTW,Azlun,I had qcn for Nexus 5X H791 and it's easy to get the common model H790's qcn for the US version,so,try it on the Band 39 and Band 38?:fingers-crossed:
Not working for the HUAWEI SCL-CL00 with the generic modem fimware with AL00, writen B38 qcn can read the BCCH information, like SIB1 SB but not able to TX something to the BS statoin reaching the Papging mode.
Edit: sorry wrong thread, meant for nexus 6 section

Any new information on this? Sorry to resurrect an old thread. I was wondering if anyone has been able to extract their FULL qcn and just blank out relevant NV items such as IMEI, Bluetooth, Wifi MAC etc? I'd love to be able to compare this file to my OPTwo to see how different the writes are for the NV and potentially unlock other bands since the LTE amplifier and Snapdragon processor are the same in our devices
