I guess let it die, then charge it up. Do you have ADB access?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

the device is closed when battery ended. now I can use it.

Just wondering if anyone is having the same problem and if they are is there a solution!!
Over the past 4 days I have had a problem with my phone (occasionally) not coming out of sleep mode. Its not happening all the time. Its only happened about 3 times over the past 4 days. If I press the power button or the home button to wake the phone it won't come on. Its as if the phone is powered off. The only way to get it back is to take out the battery or hold the power button until I see the samsung logo for boot up.
I haven't installed any new apps in over a month and it happens when the phone is at between 85% and 93% power.
Twice it happened after unplugging it from the power supply and once for no reason.
I have all the latest updates available for the phone.

Sorry, I didn't see it as a question in that sense... It was more of a general query.

Or flash stock rom .

Can't see how that would work.
Seems a bit drastic for such a small problem.
Under clocking usually does this. If you're not UC, kernel is usually the cultist. Flash another kernel and report back!

I'm using stock rom. No customisation at all on this device.
Sounds like you may have installed an app which may affect wakeup, happened to me once. Check what you've downloaded especially what make affect wake like power saving apps.

The phone was plugged in to my computer (I was doing development) and was running all the time. Suddenly, while I was not doing development or doing anything, the phone died and I have have never been able to turn it on again.
I've tried:
Hold the Power button
Hold both Power and Volume down button
Take out the battery and put it in again
Replace the batter with another one from my friends' working-perfectly-fine Galaxy S3
The result is the same: no response from the phone at all - it's completely cold, no sound, light or vibration at all - all I've seen is the blank unchanged screen so please don't ask me about the start up screen
What can I do?
*Notes: I've read this thread but my warranty has ran out so bringing it to Samsung is not really the best option.

Sounds like hardware failure, nothing you can do apart from obtain a repair.

Hi. I hope this is the correct forum. My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) won't shut down after the latest firmware update. I believe I had 4.2.1 and now I have 4.2.2. My device name is is GT-P5113. I plugged the Tab into my computer and Kies opened automatically. It said there was an update for my device so I updated.
All seems to be ok, but now when I choose to "shut down" the tablet shuts down and then cycles back on as if I had just pressed the power button to turn it back on.
I guess it could be worse - it could be refusing to turn on.
Is there a fix for this? Anybody else had this problem?
It is not rooted and I don't really want to do so.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you for the reply. I realized I posted in the wrong forum, but it would not not let me delete this thread. I have not tried again to delete.
FYI - I spoke with Samsung and they said to try a hard reset. That did not work. I spoke with another rep and they are going to repair or replace it for me. This was a gift and I have no receipt. I am VERY pleased with the service from Samsung.
I have the international GT-19300 s3 and a few days ago. I installed the latest firmare update. I was on Wifi at work and when the download was
complete. It gave me nothing but a black screen. I think when the download was complete I left the area where the wifi connection was and it
messed up my phone. I tried holding down the home, power and volume button up and it will show 27 percent and then the little android dies and
my phone shuts off. When I push the power button. I only get the s3 galaxy logo and then it immidetaly cuts off. I took it to the shop today and he
said it might be a boot issue so he gave me a link for bootloader, but I do not understand it.
does anyone have a link where i can plug my phone to usb to computer and reboot my phone...
I had my phone 2 years, but I'm not savy with these phone softwares.
thanks
Read the guide in stickythread on how to flash back to stock, then factory reset.

Ok guys, first post here. My galaxy tab model GT-P5113TS is having an issue that I can't seem to find on any site including this one.
Little background, this problem first started several months ago. My wife ran the battery completely dead on the tab, we didn't have a "samsung" charger and couldn't get it to charge up. Bought new charger, got it charged, and ever since then, the screen will work for anywhere from 15-20 seconds to 3 or 4 minutes, then just stops working. Hitting the power button will turn the screen off, hitting it again brings up the lock screen, but the screen will still not recognize any touches. The side buttons still work, just not the touch screen.
Letting the tab sit for a couple hours is the ONLY thing that lets the touch screen work again. But it will only work for a minute or two again before it stops working. I tried a soft reset several times to no avail. Kind of forgot about the tab, left it for a while. Picked it up today after charging it and still no different than a couple months ago. I tried the factory reset several times and it made no difference. Usually the screen won't stay responsive long enough to make it through the whole set up process.
I'm pretty new to digging into these things. I'm not afraid to give it a shot, since the thing is useless in its current state. But most of the lingo and abbreviations are new to me. If anyone can point me towards a solution, I'd be VERY grateful! I'll do my best to answer any questions to help as well.
PS, we bought it used off ebay, so no warranty

Well, you're in the wrong forum. This is the forum for the gt p7500/7501/7510/7511 or the galaxy tab 10.1 number 1 if you will.
So we can't help you, even if we wanted too (unless someone in this forum also owns a tab 2).
I suggest you take a look in the correct forum, I'm sure you'll have better luck there.

XDA is a big place and it's sometimes a bit complicated to get where you want to go so no worries, we've all been there at one point ?
