I have my Acer Tablet A500 and my HTC Amaze paired with my Alpine stereo in my truck. The Tablet is spot on with movies , games ,music,etc.... The Amaze on the other hand has about a full second delay with everything. I also found the range is limited to about 5 feet with the phone and the tablet can go almost 20 feet. Is there an app or software fix for this issue with the phone ?
Thanks Geo

Hey everyone,
I just bought a new head unit for my car; Alpine iDA-x305, and my old one, Kenwood KDC-BT838u, kinda sucked with my Touch HD. The calls were not clear, it would always disconnect after calls, and navigating through mp3s was very difficult (not a Touch HD issue, but nonetheless.)
Anyone have a head unit they like and works well with their Touch HD?
P.S.
I will post an update about my Touch HD and the Alpine iDA-x305, when I get it installed next week.
I have the Pioneer Navgate F900BT navunit.
And it works great..... no annoying things at all. A true multimediaplayer.
I have the same Pioneer 900BT... I wish it would read the sms messages that the manual states. Sucks
Does anyone have experience with these headsets and the Transformer? I recently purchased both to do a comparison.
The S9-HD sound awesome but the Bluetooth connection with it is really bad. I frequently get drops in audio. It also seems to be messing with the Transformer's WiFi connection because my WiFi will show disconnected ever few minutes. This problem occurs frequently when using Pandora. I've tried checking the "Bluetooth" option but I get the same issues. When the audio drops, it will often skip to the next song when the audio comes back.
The S10-HD does not have any of the technical problems but the sound quality does not even come close to the S9-HD. I really want to keep the S9-HD. Is there any fix for the issues I've come across? Any word on S11-HD being release?
Sorry if this is OT, but I use the Sony MW600 and it works great. Nice and cheap stereo bluetooth. However, it's an in-ear headset that some people dislike.
I have the normal (not HD) S9's and they work fine. They don't affect wifi at all and they work up to a nice distance away from the TF. Can't comment on the HD versions though obviously.
reall, the s9-hd's have better quality then the s10-hd's?
I've had the s10 hd's since last november and love them, works great with the tf, my streak, and bb.
The phone's been pretty good so far, except for the Bluetooth output. I have a Bluetooth stereo in my car that I used constantly with my OG Evo and it worked great; I could play with it, walk around the car with it in my pocket, etc, and it would still play the audio flawlessly. With the 3D though, it has to be sitting out in the open. If I grab it, the audio cuts in and out. Even if I hover my hand a couple of inches above it cuts in and out (which should be cause enough for a replacement since the phone and receiver are literally two feet away from each other). This does not make me a happy panda.
Is anybody else having Bluetooth issues? Can anybody test theirs out to see if the problem exists outside of just mine???
paired with my xps15 ..playing VanHalen walked the 3vo two rooms over( about 50 feet) and still playing ..pissing the gf off tho ...she wanna know why I'm playing around with my new toy ...well ...gotta go ..gnight all
It has been solid for me so far. My happiest moment was when I tagged the button on my Plantronics 655 and voice dialed the wife. Haven't been able to do that since the WinMob days.
Haven't tried to pair mine with my Sony head unit, I'll report back if i can remember to tonight
Thanks guys. Sounds like it might be isolated to just mine. Looks like I might might be visiting Sprint again soon to get a replacement. So sad considering that I just traded in my original launch-day Evo that never had a single problem with it
Just reporting back in...
A2DP on this phone paired with my car's headunit is the most rock solid A2DP connection i've ever had. My epic would occasionally skip, and it was noticible that the driver sped up and slowed down to compensate for connection variations... but with the 3vo, you wouldn't have known the difference if i had plugged it in the 3.5mm jack.
I have mine paired with a Blackberry stereo receiver which is in my glovebox. This morning, I got out of the car to fill up my gas tank and grabbed my phone out of habit. When I was done filling, I tossed my phone into my pocket and hopped back into the car before I realized that I had been moving all around with my audio source. The streaming Pandora didn't stutter once through all of that
I think It's the best connection I've ever had.

I'm having much better Bluetooth quality with my E3D than I did with my Evo. With my OG Evo, if my phone was in my pocket and I turned my head to the right (with Motorolo S305 Bluetooth headphones), the signal would cut in and out. However, with my E3D, I haven't had a single problem with it at all yet.
I have the same setup, no problems whatsoever
Hi everyone,
I searched the forums to see if anyone else was having bluetooth reception and range issues but came up short.
I'm having problems keeping my Plantronics Voyager Pro + headset connected to the phone. I usually have to have it within 3 feet of the phone, or I get a lot of static or BT disconnects completely. What's weird is I am able to stay connected up to 20 feet away with my Jabra bluetooth speaker. I recently bought a hard plastic case for the phone which made the problem a little worse, but not too much (5 feet range vs 3 or 4).
Anyone else having this issue? I just bought the phone on 12/17 and I think I have 30 days to exchange or return. Are there any fixes out there that have worked for anyone?
Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions!
*** Update: I just re-paired my Voyager Pro + headset with my old HTC HD2 and was able to walk about 25 feet away from the phone (two walls in between) and had no static or disconnects. Must be the Amaze. ***
I've been using the Motorola S305, and I can be two rooms away, and still get good reception from the phone, so long as doors are open. Like every bluetooth headset I've used, getting my body between the phone and the headset is a problem (phone needs to be in a pocket on the same side of my body as the headset BT receiver). The quality of the bluetooth on this phone seems to be superior to that of my old N1. No complaints.
Thanks Dave. Are Bluetooth issues such as these hardware or software issues?
Get new earphones.

I called T-Mobile and they said the bluetooth connectivity/range problem is a known issue for the Amaze 4G. HTC is currently working on a solution that will likely be resolved on the next software update.
Off I go to buy a set of wired earphones until they release it.
Curious--I wonder why I'm having no difficulties, then. I've connected the Amaze to my N1, the amaze to my ASUS Transformer, and the Amaze to my S305 headset, all with no problems.
Not all the profiles I'd like to see supported necessarily are (Can't get DUN to work), but I'm puzzled that there's apparently some problem.
It's interesting that your Voyager worked so well with the HD2.
On the Tmobile forums, there's certainly discussion:

So far I have talked on BT with no issues. I set the phone on my desk and I walk around my room without issues, distance is no more than 10 feet, but works without issues.
Get the latest updates for you phone. Delete the pairing with your Bluetooth then pair again. I have a Jawbone Era and my reception was horrible. My reception is much better now after updating and pairing again, although I still have a long delay between phone and Bluetooth.
Only issue I have is delay when making call. Recieving the call is fine

I have a hard time connecting to my car's bluetooth. I have to play around with the settings until it links up but that's such a hassle. Also, I noticed that after turning bluetooth on, I would sometimes lose signal. Weird..
Trying to find out of anyone else is having problems with their Vivo 5 Bluetooth connection to Sony MEX-XB100BT Car stereo or Sony stereos in general. I have tested my phone on a couple of neighbor cars (a 2013 Prius, and a 2015 Chevy Traverse with stock head units) and it the Bluetooth works fine. I went to Best Buy where I bought my care stereo and they were kind enough to let me swap out my head unit for a brand new one to see if that would work. Still same problem. Problem is....it pairs up just fine, but as soon as the music starts playing, it's sporadic and the music keeps doing this on and off thing like a bad signal to an FM station. I will look for a Sony Forum and post this same question. Just hoping someone has had the same problem and found a solution.
Mine does the same thing. I have a BLU vivo 5 connected to a JVC double din head unit and it acts like it has a bad connection or something because the music keeps skipping in and oit.
blu vivo 5 bluetooth fix
go to the app store and type (find myheadset) or bluetooth spp tools pro
Bluetooth connection to Toyota's interface is sporadic, at best

It's hit and miss as to whether the pairing from my Vivo 5R to the MediaCenter of my Toyota Aygo lasts 15 seconds or 2,3,4,5 minutes.
Useless!
Also, no texts will download, and incoming texts don't register on the screen.
There's a message "Would you like to add messaging?" which - when answering 'Yes' - returns the useless message :
"You may need to operate your device to allow messaging access."
Thank goodness I kept my trusty Motorola G [1st Gen] !
