And I wouldn't worry too much about that. I would imagine worst case is a week delay. The pre-orders just started yesterday FCS.

I'm also hoping it's just because it's on pre-order and not technically in-stock.

No sir. Mine says pre-order with a check mark underneath. From my experience, keep calling to get a reasonable answer. It is super frustrating, but if you're like me, waiting isn't an option.

That's up to the employees at the store. We will do it if the customer only has a PO box or something. So just say that and you should be fine.

I wouldn't read that much into it. Just like we got a "backordered" email, it just fills dates and stuff in. I'd expect it to ship by the 15th.

Yeah, the previous wording made me think we might get them earlier in the week, but now it looks like the 17th is as early as possible.
I guess its just one more reason to look forward to Friday
When i ordered mine today it said they should ship by the 16th.
Five minutes later i got an email saying it was sent to the warehouse for shipping.

I think we all got different notifications based upon the avenue in which we purchased or upgraded. I upgraded through Premier and I'm supposed to get my phone by the 17th and it is supposed to be shipped Fedex overnight. I don't think we can assume what AT&T will do until we start getting shipping notifications and tracking numbers.

I ordered mine from ATT on Monday at lunch. They couldn't find it in system Sunday.
So, I went back Monday with the ATT SKU #. I told them to ship to store, 'cause I leave for Asia on the 18th and if it's not there by 17th my salesman said it would be held there under my name.
So, here's to hoping the "store" gets their shipments first, and mine gets thrown in with their stuff.
I go to Hong Kong and China regularly so I'm very familiar with the Int'l Note, but didn't want to spend 700+ for one in HK or China with no warranty except thru my friends there that I'd have to ship it back to for service.
Plus, getting it for 300 sans Exynos I figure is an even toss up for the cost savings.

It says free activation for new lines... but when I ordered as an upgrade it said Sprint would charge me $36 activation. I called Sprint retention department and complained about their lack of lte, etc and got a credit to my account and a promise to waive the activation fee

The $36 fee waiving is for new lines only, not upgrades.
And don't worry about the backorder note, Amazon told me that's just a placeholder type deal. They told me that that all pre orders are on track to ship by 5/18.

I made a promise to myself to never do that again, so my next HTC phone will definitively be via Amazon for sure.

Amazon did say I should have it by 5/22. Not sure whether I believe that or not, but at least they are giving me a date. I also noticed they gave me a free car charger once I placed my order. That was a nice surprise.
Not sure how this customs thing is going to affect it if it is true.

Yep they are giving a free car charger to everyone. Can never have enough of those generic USB chargers.
In all honesty, I doubt the Customs thing is going to affect pre-orders that much. Most of those phones have probably been in the country for at least a few days.
Those customs batches are for units not yet sold, I suspect.

Amazon often plays by its own rules. So I wouldn't be completely shocked to see them ship out preoders if they were able to get their batch. I know Sprint would prohibit them from doing this, but how effective could they be?

Just got my response back for the change in shipping. My order has been updated and says it will ship on the 18th and be received on the 21st. I figure Amazon will join the delay alongside everyone else, but they are taking their time getting that info to their customers, so I wonder if they will do anything about that... they are generally good with their customer service. I don't mind waiting if it comes to that.
Yeah I'm trying to keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed but I'm hoping they already had some stock onhand before it went to backorder status and are still sending those who had preordered their phones on time.
On a related note, I did email again and requested for one-day delivery instead of the free two-day shipping that they automatically give you and score!

Tried all the the alternate numbers on UPS, none came up. It is showing now as being picked up and sent 2 day air, so it will arrive Wednesday.
Hopefully they will not block the bootloader unlock by then, if they are even going to block it.

I switched today from tmobile to AT&T, due to very poor , piss poor service in our area, actually.We bought the htc one, a g3, and a sammy exhilaration for my mother and law
I ordered via web, and on completion told me scheduled to ship the 16th, got confirmation email,then the order proessed and sent to warehouse email, where it went into immediate back order, then, jut now came out of backorder, and into processing/pending shipment.The shipping method is overnight, so hopefully tbe 17th

Do you see any update when you track your number on htc website?
Oh, I brought mine into an AT&T store. I got the money in the form of promotional cards right there at the store. I didn't want to risk sending the phone through the mail and I didn't want to wait.
I assume others got their $100 money already, or are there not many people trading up their phones ?
I got my visa credit card Saturday. The status page was never updated to reflect that the phone had been received or processed.

Sent inquiry via form at:

instead of via address and finally got a reply.

I sent my inquiry, got an auto response only, and never got the real answer. On the 7th week now.
I guess my phone was too old for them to pay $100 (hTC fuze). Should have just kept it. Love that phone.
Just received mine today. I think I mailed it at the end of April.

ordered on sunday from bestbuy, it was shipped. buy taking forever to get here.

I got an email "Your Groupon Goods order has shipped" with the tracking number (it links to Groupon's website)
Mine just shipped from Michigan! I live in Indiana so it shouldn't be too long! I should get it tomorrow or Saturday! Such a long wait though :/

Just browsing the G Watch forums since I'll be getting mine thursday and saw this thread. Mine also sat with no tracking for a while, but I did eventually get the tracking and USPS is due to deliver on Thursday.
