ordered on sunday from bestbuy, it was shipped. buy taking forever to get here.

I Hear that I have several preordered too. Guess we could always sell extra on ebay to make up for cost if unable to cancle an order.
i was able to order one, delivery date of 1/5. Hopefully it gets delivered and hopefully its grey

Just wanted to post this for anyone interested in whats going on with their Dongle or need to place a hold on it before it gets to them. On the VIP site your status has to have changed to "Shipped". Don't blame me if you check while "submitted" and get nothing although some have reported success! This is also only for North American shipments.. overseas do not ship FedEx
Go to Fedex.com and Track by Reference Number.(Here) Copy this:
TF201DONGLE - "INSERT MY SERIAL NUMBER" - GRAY
Replace the quotes and insert number with your Serial # and make sure no spaces are between the dashes. It should pull your package up and also provide you with the actual tracking number. You may need to adjust the country where its going if you are international as well as date shipped if it might have gone out over 15 days ago.
Champagne users should also be able to track if you change GRAY to GOLD.(thanks monkeydog) Hope this helps those who are still waiting- thanks to mikeypopps who originally posted this

Not working for me.
I tried both of my serial numbers. One has been received and the other has not. Neither give any information other than "No information for the following shipments has been received by our system yet."
Others in the Got my Dongle and Product Updates thread are reporting success, so either you're doing it wrong, or the label hasn't been printed yet. Make sure your serial is correct and your tracking by Reference #, Not tracking #

Thanks! Works! I already received one of the two GPS dongles I applied for. Did exactly as instructed and I was able to see the shipping information of the one I already received. Now I'm just waiting for my Champagne color dongle to be shipped. I am moving by the end of the month so the address I submitted will no longer be current. I'll use this method again when it finally ships to re-route it.

Same here. I am thinking of starting a thread for us in this situation late next week if nothing happens since no one at Asus has any idea whats going on all they do is read scripts say they'll call you back and nothing. FedEx told me I have to contact the shipper which is them. Technical email same thing 4 days to get a script saying call the # - run-around!!

Not to get technical but we paid $500 for the GPS to work in our actual unit. At least its in the specifications on my C1. I dont use it all the time myself and don't really care about performance but when GPS test sits at 0 thats plain defective imo. I just want the fix thats been offered instead of reading everyone getting theirs yet ours supposedly shipped the 18th and theyre sitting somewhere and noone seems to know a thing. We aren't the only ones so hopefully by the end of the week or next week they start moving otherwise I think its going to be a pain in the you know what trying to get any information about whats going on internally there at Asus.
I registered months before this was even announced on the VIP site and I still have yet to even recieve an email talking about this offer at all. Talk about how VIP Asus treats us man!

On another board a guy posted his tracking info and the first label time was exactly the same 11:18AM and his shipped fine got it today, was supposed to recieve mine today its been sitting on "Initiated".. just don't know hopefully they update I signed up for email notification when it starts moving because I need mine held for pickup

I have... quite a few coming, aprox 40 (institution, cheaper than ipads and android ftw) roughly 30 say they are shipping on the vip site, so far none of the ones i checked say they are in the fedex system yet.... oddly there are roughly 10 that are still recieved (not shipped), does this mean they ran out and are waiting on a new batch? who knows.... asus seems to be boggling this quite badly, but as others have said im getting it for free, why complain?

They are coming from California ... you and I are on the East Coast. Its going to take about a week or more to get here. Slowest possible shipping method through Fedex. Mine shipped the 23rd. Wont get here till the 30th.

Thats the difference between yours and ours at least you have a delivery date! His sounds like mine if you look at the pic in the OP there has been no change after the label has been received for a week now and is waiting for pickup. Which means the package is still at Asus. Mine was originally scheduled for 4/25 and now theres no date.. all FedEx tells us is contact the shipper.. and Asus knows nothing.. all we can do is wait and keep checking!

The $36 fee waiving is for new lines only, not upgrades.
And don't worry about the backorder note, Amazon told me that's just a placeholder type deal. They told me that that all pre orders are on track to ship by 5/18.

I made a promise to myself to never do that again, so my next HTC phone will definitively be via Amazon for sure.

Not sure how this customs thing is going to affect it if it is true.

Yep they are giving a free car charger to everyone. Can never have enough of those generic USB chargers.
In all honesty, I doubt the Customs thing is going to affect pre-orders that much. Most of those phones have probably been in the country for at least a few days.
Those customs batches are for units not yet sold, I suspect.

Amazon often plays by its own rules. So I wouldn't be completely shocked to see them ship out preoders if they were able to get their batch. I know Sprint would prohibit them from doing this, but how effective could they be?

Just got my response back for the change in shipping. My order has been updated and says it will ship on the 18th and be received on the 21st. I figure Amazon will join the delay alongside everyone else, but they are taking their time getting that info to their customers, so I wonder if they will do anything about that... they are generally good with their customer service. I don't mind waiting if it comes to that.
Yeah I'm trying to keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed but I'm hoping they already had some stock onhand before it went to backorder status and are still sending those who had preordered their phones on time.
On a related note, I did email again and requested for one-day delivery instead of the free two-day shipping that they automatically give you and score!

For those of you who pre-ordered and whose orders aren't out for delivery (not being delivered today), what's your story?
I pre-ordered 5/7 around 2PM central time.
My tracking number shows delivery in Lexington.
I've received no shipping email from Sprint. My order status says "in progress".
I called Sprint and they said my phone just says it's "back-ordered".
Let's cry on each others' shoulders.
Theories:
1.) Sprint didn't keep enough stock on-hand to fulfill all pre-orders.
2.) Warehouse workers collapsed from exhaustion yesterday evening and not all phones were shipped out together. They'll ship today and we'll have them tomorrow.
3.) God hates us.

99.999% of the time this will actually update will all the info once it's actually scanned for the actual delivery.
However.... *if* you're in that .001% for which this isn't the case.. and your status hasn't updated by 4 or 5 today, send me a message, as we have an internal process setup as of today to handle these 'super expedited' and to bypass the 'backorder' status that you'll get if you go through a regular process to have it corrected/resent. Remember, this is for those rare scenarios only, please, I don't want to send 50 people to process, LOL... but i do expect a couple *may* need it.
so give it some hours.. but if you need it, there is an expedited process in place to handle these issues and still get you a device asap.

I got that email the first day of the pre-orders, because they needed to get some more information from me in order to port my number over from T-Mobile. For the duration of the pre-sale I had no order status and Gordon Ramsays method to see order details showed my phone as back ordered. I got various answers from Sprint's CSRs, but most indicated that my order was processing normally (I was pretty worried that something was screwed up with my order since I know better than to trust those guys). I got the MY UPS notification yesterday, and my order status finally updated with a tracking number and changed from back order to "in progress." Phone was delivered about an hour ago.
Just got off the phone with UPS, they said even though the website did now show my package was out for delivery, she confirmed it was placed on the truck this morning and is indeed out for delivery!!!! Going outside to wait now! LOL

LLLLIIIIEEEESSS! UPS just told me they lied to me earliar, and my package will indeed not be delivered today, its just sitting in the warehouse chilling.....

i ordered mine the 15th, just an hour before they shut off the pre-order part and got mine today at 350pm
I got that also, I even had an e-mail at one point from the "My UPS" thing showing that it would arrive between 3:30 and 7 today, but it then showed it as delivered to Kentucky yesterday (it had my address to begin with)
same thing for me too. nothing on my end either. they changed my info too.
The worst part of all though is that I have no idea what is going on. Even people who ordered from best buy are getting their phones first and here we are without any idea what is going on. If I at least knew if it was coming tomorrow I can plan for it (I don't want it sitting on the porch all day for someone to walk off with), but as it is, I don't know what to do!
I think the effects of the customs thing is still screwing things up. Sprint believed they had enough phones to meet initial pre-order demand but they don't. Best buy stores aren't getting enough for their pre-orders. Wirefly and amazon, who knows?
We still haven't heard anything about a national launch date probably because they don't have enough stock to give corporate stores and partners. Customs is clearing shipments probably by the pallet and that's how slowly Sprint is receiving them.
We could see another gap of a week or two if customs is the hold-up again.

But, an hour and a half before that I got an email that just said:
"YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED" with no explanation.
I actually felt better when I got the email below:

The AT&T site says they will ship on April 16th. Who thinks we will get shipping notifications tomorrow??

theyre shipping between the 16th and the 18th and theres a high likelihood they will control when they ship it based on location so they all arrive on the 19th, no matter what method of shipping you chose. but theres also a chance it arrives a day or two early.
AT&T Rep: Oh okay, I see here that you pre order the HTC one and the shipment date is on 04/16/2013 to 04/18/2013.
Me: So it should arrive by the 19th?
AT&T Rep: Yes.
Me: Is there a possibility that it could arrive before that date?
AT&T Rep: It may be possible that it could arrive on the 18 since the shipment date is from 16th-18th.

Just received tracking number for UPS, UPS still does not show receipt, so I do not know how many days shipping they used.
Even if it is ground it will be here before Friday.

It has billing account number, order number, shipping order number, and also shows the serial numbers for the phone and sim card.
Phone number and rate plan are also shown.

Tried all the the alternate numbers on UPS, none came up. It is showing now as being picked up and sent 2 day air, so it will arrive Wednesday.
Hopefully they will not block the bootloader unlock by then, if they are even going to block it.

You suck lol (bcuz yours shipped). Totally with you on the bootloader - that's my first todo. I don't see why they'd block it.

I switched today from tmobile to AT&T, due to very poor , piss poor service in our area, actually.We bought the htc one, a g3, and a sammy exhilaration for my mother and law
I ordered via web, and on completion told me scheduled to ship the 16th, got confirmation email,then the order proessed and sent to warehouse email, where it went into immediate back order, then, jut now came out of backorder, and into processing/pending shipment.The shipping method is overnight, so hopefully tbe 17th
