This is a windows based tool that I created to add things that I like to existing Gingerbread ROM's and to Hellraise I9100 Gingerbread ROM's (Samsung or CM7/MIUI/CM9 based) and I have decided to share it with you guys. One thing this is great for is flashing the updates of a ROM you use on a regular basis, I got sick of having to keep putting my custom init.d files (mostly that I would forget) and editing the Build.prop on the android was a pain in the butt so this tool helps me and hopefully you guys will find it useful too.

How it works:
1. First you select a ROM that you have downloaded using the button to the right of the "Selected ROM" textbox.
2. Select what options you want to do to the ROM (like adding systems apps, init.d files, and custom Build.prop parameters, or Hellraise it!)
3. Click "Build ROM" and the program then unzips the ROM, apply's the user selected options and rebuilds the zip file so it is ready for flashing.
4. Copy the zip file to your phone and flash away!
5. If your phone does not boot try these 3 things before giving up (one of these should get you going)
a. Flash the same zip again
b. Remake the ROM using a different kernel
c. Remake the ROM using a different modem (making sure you selected the modem from the right type)
6. Always remember to wipe cache and Dalvik, and factory reset if you are coming from a different ROM, just like always.
How to Hellraise:
1. First you select a ROM that you have downloaded using the button to the right of the "Selected ROM" textbox.
2. Check the "Hellraise the ROM" check box.
3. Select if it is an ICS ROM.
4. Select a kernel from the dropdown list of kernels (I have included the Kernel from CM7 and MIUI and also included latest Siyah)
5. Select a modem from the dropdown, being careful to select the modem type for the ROM you are Hellraising (You will see 2 lists in the above picture, 1 for Samsung based and one for CM7/MIUI.
6. Click "Build ROM" and the program then unzips the ROM, apply's the user selected options and rebuilds the zip file so it is ready for flashing.
7. Always remember to wipe cache and Dalvik, and factory reset if you are coming from a different ROM, just like always.
8. Copy the zip file to your phone and flash away!
How to remove device specific checks (this is what prevents some of the I9100 ROMS from installing on our phone:
1. Check the "Strip out device specific script calls" box
How to add Init.d files to the ROM:
1. Just click the one you want to add from the "Add Init.d Files" section so you see a check mark next to it, all files will be added to the ROM that have a check mark on them. WARNING: the loopy_smoothness init.d file contains some of my custom lines in it to work with MIUI, so if you are not using MIUI you will need to modify it!!!
2. To add your own Init.d items, navigate to the "Initd" sub directory for this program and copy your custom files to that folder (make sure there is no extention on the file name) and then restart the program and they will show up in the list.
How to add Build.prop items to the ROM:
1. Just click the one you want to add from the "Build.prop Mods" section so you see a check mark next to it, all files will be added to the ROM's build.prop file that have a check mark on them.
2. To add your own Build.prop items, navigate to the "BuildProp" sub directory for this program and copy your custom files to that folder (make sure you add ".build.prop" to the end of the file name) and then restart the program and they will show up in the list.
How to add System/App Files:
1. Just click the one you want to add from the "Add System/App Files" section so you see a check mark next to it, all files will be added to the ROM's System/App directory that have a check mark on them.
2. To add your own System apps, navigate to the "CustomSystemApps" sub directory for this program and copy your system apk's to that folder and then restart the program and they will show up in the list. I primarily use it for QuickOffice and CM7's camera.
How to append to the new zip file:
1. Just type something in the "Append This to New Zip" field. Make sure you don't use wierd characters that windows/phone wont understand.
Applying an MIUI theme:
1. Place your favorite MIUI theme (they are the files with .mtz extension in the "MIUI/Theme" directory on your internal sdcard) in the "MIUIThemes" subdirectory of my program to ge them to show in the list.
2. Select the one you want to apply to the ROM from the "MIUI Themes" selection dropdown and it will then be automatically applied to the ROM, its that easy!
Text Editor:
I have also included a text editor to edit scripts and Build.prop modifications so you can modify them anyway you want. Simply select a file from the list and then click the "Edit File" button to the right of the list (there is one for init.d files and one for Build.prop Mods).

Change Log:
5.4.2012.0
1. Added NFC support to options
2. Added a few new kernels and modems
3. Added option to import kernels and modems so you can update the list anytime you want (just click the appropriate import button, select a zip file with a modem or kernel in it, give it a name and BAM, you added it!
3.22.2012.0
1. Added ICS kernel from Fenny (works with most Sammy/AOKP/CM9)
2. Added on screen button enable/disable function (not that we need it know but I already added it)
3.3.2012.0
1. Added ICS kernels from Entropy and Myself to the package.
2.23.2012.0
1. Changed zip algorithm to try and help those stuborn ROM again (status 7 should be gone now). I verified that CheckROM v6 and miuiandroid.com ROM are now working.
2. Speed up zip/unzip process
3. The hang on building the zip file should be gone now too.
4. Added 2nd version of 3G tweeks for build.prop (got from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510532)
5. ICS ROM's seem to be working now too for the purpose of removing the device specific checks to get them to install.
2.17.2012.0
1. Added text editor for any file (on top menu under "File")
2. Changed "Build ROM" button to "Execute" and gives you 4 options (to give you guys alot of flexibility).
Full build from zip (same thing as the old "Build ROM" button)
Build zip file from "Build" directory
Extract ROM and apply options ONLY
Extract ROM ONLY
3. Changed the way kernel and modems are changed, seems to help some of the stuborn ROM's like MiuiDano.
2.16.2012.0
1. Added wifi fix in nvram_net.txt for those ROM's that need it.
2. Added checkbox to change device name to I777 for people that don't like seeing the I9100 and for market issues.
3. Change multi-threading routine to speed things up and hopefully fix the problem with the zip creation stalling.
4. Added 3 options for hellraising: GB-CM7/MIUI based (slimmed down hellraise), GB-Samsung Based (full hellraise), and ICS CM7/MIUI.
5. Create init.d directory automatically if you select any init.d files and it doesn't exist in the ROM.
6. Before unzipping this version if you plan to replace older version, delete all the directories beginning with "Replacements" then unzip and replace all files and folders.
2.15.2012
1. Added check mark for removal of device specific checks
2. Fixed init.d file copy errors.
3. Added ICS support, only tested AdyScorpiusMIUI v4 and stopped there cus I liked it. Just a few warnings, you will get no sound if you make a call and the USB stuff seems to be messed up so you won't be able to transfer files using USB once the ROM is on there and the hard button issue of course. Other than that, everything else is working including the face-unlock, ENJOY!
4. To get AdyScorpiusMIUI v4 to work, check the Hellraise button, check "This is an ICS ROM", pick the ICS kernel, and check the "Strip out device...". Thats it.
5. Always make a backup before flashing!!!
2.9.2012
1. Added applying your favorite MIUI theme (of course only use this option if you are working on an MIUI theme)
2. Tried to speed up the zipping portion a bit too
Quick list of ROM's put together thanks to this tool:
[ROM] Foxhound 3.0
[ROM] AdyScorpiusMIUI
[ROM] MIUI.us 2.2.17 | WIUI
[ROM] Turkbey V33
[ROM] CriskeloRom V38

Cool idea. I'll definitely give this a try when its up.
seems awesome!!
I will be watching this with great anticipation.

No, that is what I am on too. Let me try v32 again. One more question, did you get a zip file in the "NewROM" sub folder of the program?
this did not hellraise miui.us

search button does nothing.

It takes 34 seconds total on my 64 bit machine, about 2 minutes on my slower 32 bit laptop. I will recompile it a different way and re-upload it for you to try, I will reply to this again when the new version is up? In the mean time, try compatibility mode and also try another ROM for the fun of it.

New link is up Chris, re-download and zip over top of the old files. Did you unzip the files to a directory or did you you do it to the root of c drive? Also, is this a Mac or a real computer?

AOSP 2.1 Bug List - by FreeX10 (jerpelea and zdzihu)
THE DEV THREAD IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD!!!
Because the main DEV thread has become so cluttered with useless posts, i will try to condense all the Bugs and Fixes into the one post here. The DEV thread is not a thread to discuss what you would like to see in the next version, or a thread to ask why something was not included in the ROM. I do not have anything to do with the development of these ROMS but am trying to make life easier for Jerpelea and Zdzihu. If you have questions, answers, bugs or fixes, this is the place to post them.
AOSP 2.1 Changelog (Features that are working, and when they were resolved)
Changelog is here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=464170&d=1292341044
Current Issues and the Corresponding ROM version
** 007a
- Rom is in final release and is quite stable. Few users reporting reboot issues but seem to be related to individual users settings.
- Left button unlocking screen when in lock mode - workaround is to enable pattern unlock feature
- unable to get straight back into xrecovery menu without reinstalling - some users reporting this (myself included) - Fix is to manually reinstall menu using zdzihu's instructions here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9561575&postcount=1
-
** 007
- sorry, been a bit slack updating this list - PM me if you want anything listed.
** b006
- wifi not coming back after turning it off - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9707776&postcount=4291
- Launcher Pro Plus FC after removing ADW - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9708084&postcount=4296
- [FIX FOUND] Vignette image garbled - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9712316&postcount=4340
make sure you have latest version of Vignette installed - seems to work ok.
- 2G Connection is not constant - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9713159&postcount=4345
- [FIX FOUND]3G not connecting - no APN's - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9713110&postcount=4344 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9782564&postcount=34
Some users are saying if you manually enter your APN details, it all works
This is a work in progress so please PM me with the problem or post the specific issue here. Over the next few days i will be attempting to compile a list of all the bugs for the various versions of 2.1 AOSP Roms.
Lets keep the dev thread for what it is supposed to be - where the Devs can bounce ideas and list fixes and version releases.
Tim.
Installation Guides
What do you need...
- X10
- Root access (can be obtained many ways - z4root is probably the easiest - download z4root from market)
- ROM file (see below)
- USB cable to connect phone to pc
- zdzihu's Recovery menu needs to be installed also, and for this you need to be on 2.1 - does not work with 1.6 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9561575&postcount=1 or installation guide below.
- patience!
AOSP 2.1 - Black Freedom
- Download ROM file from here => http://hotfile.com/dl/89981020/d198ed1/BlackFreedom_signed_007a.rar.html
- connect phone to pc and mount the SD card.
- Within the .RAR file is a .ZIP file - extract this to your phones SD card and rename it to Update.zip
- reboot phone and enter recovery menu (repeatedly pressing BACK as soon as the Sony Ericsson logo appears)
- a good idea is to take a backup of your phone before going any further - Backup and Restore, and then choose Backup. This will create a folder on your SD Card called XRecovery/Backups and will create a sub-folder for each backup. I have tested renaming these sub-folders to something usefull with no issues!
- Once backup is complete, zdzihu recommends running a "full wipe" - make sure you choose the correct option here, it is on the main screen and says "Factory Reset (full wipe)" - THIS IS AN OPTIONAL STEP
- once wipe is complete, click "Install update.zip from SD Card" - this is why we renamed the .zip file earlier.
- phone will install rom and bring you back to menu when completed. simply reboot and it will launch the AOSP 2.1 ROM
Let me know if these steps are not clear and i will edit them. i did them in 5 minutes before leaving to go away for the weekend

There are 3 main ways to install this menu. The main method is via the .APK file that zoz33 created.
Other methods are a manual file copy using root explorer or using the old gscript file (outdated method).
I guess you could also ADB but i wont go into that method.
What you need...
- 2.1 ROM on your phone, this will not work with 1.6 Android.
- The files for the install are here - xRecovery 0.2-release
- Phone must have ROOT access and have busybox installed from the market (this is crucial)
Method 1 - APK File
1. Download the APK file and copy it to your phone (attached to this post)
2. Install the APK file and run it.
3. Click on the "Install xRecovery" button. In most cases, this will simply install the menu and you are done!
If you get errors, you may need to try the manual method below.
Method 2 - Manual installation
1. Download the APK file again and rename it to a .zip file (replace .apk with .zip)
2. open the new .zip file and extract the /res/raw folder inside. It should contain 3 files (chargemon, busybox, xrecovery.tar)
3. Using root explorer (and make sure R/W mode is enabled) copy the 3 files listed about directly into /system/bin
4. reboot phone and tap back button until recovery menu appears.
As usual, PM me or post a reply if the instructions are not clear.
Cheers.
Cannot Enter Service Menu

Hi! i´m really impressed so far, but i love my camera too much.. is there any way we could use the original camera app for 2.1? if there is, that might solve the errors + give us better settings...

FIXES AND MODS ONLY
SINCE MIUI V4 HAS BEEN BASED ON CM9, MANY OF THESE FIXES MAY WORK
DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS WITHIN THE THREAD
We already have the entire CM9 main thread overrun by repeat questions.
If you have a question regarding something on here, Private Message either myself or the persons I am crediting so that we may help you without mucking up this Thread with "Can you help me with this?"
Feel free to add Mods and Fixes that you feel might be useful for others.
If you didn't make it, be sure to give credit to the person who did.
Please also post a link to their original post so others can thank them for their work.
Thanks to everyone who developed these fixes and to the devs for putting together a great ROM for our phones.
FYI...I DID NOT MAKE THESE MODS OR FIXES (UNLESS I SPECIFY THAT I DID PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER). PLEASE GIVE THANKS TO THE PEOPLE WHO CAME UP WITH THESE FIXES AND MODS
Proper Flashing of ROMs (updated 9/6)
PROPER FLASHING OF ROM
Requirements:
Photon 4g-Must be rooted, unlocked, and have CWM on it (I recommend Jokerax's CWM V3)
A ROM ZIP
Gapps .zip
If you have already rooted, unlocked, and CWM'ed, skip 1-4
1) FIRST, go HERE and watch this video. It's how to install Android SDK. This will be important if you mess something up later and need to reinstall SBF. It also allows you to flash CWM to your phone.
2) Unlock Bootloader: Watch the video HERE. The links to the files you need will be in the "show more" area of the video. This will have you unlocked and ready for next step.
3) Rooting/CWM: Watch the video HERE. The links to the files you will need will be shown in the "show more" area of the video. Now you will be rooted and have CWM on your phone
4) Joker's CWM: Since this was made with his CM9 build in mind, I recommend using it for all your CM9 flashing needs. Using other ones can cause problems.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Go to Joker's site (Jokersax.com) and download the "cwm-non corrupted" in the "Cyanogenmod9 for Photon 4G" section, placing the file on somewhere on your phone you can easily find (I usually create a folder in my SD-Card called "ROMS".
Boot into your recovery and select "install zip from sd card"
Find the CWM .zip where you put it, and flash it.
You will now have Joker's CWM on your phone and be ready for flashing
NOW YOU ARE READY TO FLASH
PROPER FLASHING:
STANDARD FLASH ROMS
1) Place ROM zip onto storage on your phone (of your choice)
2) Reboot into recovery
3) Make a Backup (if you don't, it's YOUR bad if you mess up...)
4) Use Wipe All Zip found HERE
or
Wipe /system, /data, /cache manually
This is recommended...some roms you can get away with just Cache and Dalvik wipe, but many require the full wipe treatment
5) Flash Rom zip
6) Flash Gapps (optional)
7) Reboot and Enjoy
AROM BASED ROMS
1) Place ROM zip onto storage on your phone
2) Reboot into recovery
3) Make a Backup
4) Go to Advanced Menu
5) Choose Report Error
6) Choose Show Log
7) Choose Reboot Recovery
***THESE 3 STEPS SHOULD BE DONE ANY TIME YOU FLASH AN AROMA BASED ROM***
8) Flash Rom zip
9) Inside rom, you can choose your wipe option and other options.
10) Install
11) Reboot and Enjoy

Here are a few ICS themed apks for Cm9, I did not create these just been going through every phones subsections scouring for ICS themed apks
Gmail and LatinIME.apk need to go into system/app
Clear cashe and data before renaming the preinstalled ones with ".bak" as back ups.
Dropbox and XDA(free version) can go in data/app
Make sure to fully uninstall Dropbox and XDA apps if you've already have them installed before installing these themed apks.
When I get to a computer later and have a bit more time, I'll find the threads that I got them from so proper thanks can be made to them.

Ok, hopefully this can stay as a fix here.
For CWM I also remember reading that Romeacer's 5.0.2.7-photon3 could also be used. I understand that it may also be linked on Jokers site. Later versions will not work.

ICS Pandora
ICS themed Pandora, I didn't make this,
got it from http://www.droidforums.net/forum/yakitori/198676-ice-cream-sandwich-themed-pandora.html
This is an ICS themed Application Widgets picker, I think this should actually be incorporated into the next Beta build personally.
Download and Install like any other regular APK
Long press on home screen (or press Menu softkey, then select "add") to bring up "add to Home Screen" menu.
Select "Widget"
It'll promt you the option to choose the built in Widgets picker or the new one, click the "use by default for this action" check box and select the new "App widget picker 4.0.3" option.
Then your good to go
I've attached some before and after Screenshots that I tested this on my own MoPho, as I do with all Apk's that I find and post.
I have a "Fix" for the thing popping up in status bar telling you to "select input method" every time you open keyboard. Haven't seen this covered, if it is by all means remove this post though. Not really much of a fix, but it was something that drove me nuts trying to make go away.
Settings - Manage Apps - All - Scroll to bottom and find one with bunch of Japanese characters - Select disable. You should be good to go from there without annoying status bar message everytime you open keyboard.

a) CM9 Boot animation: Thanks to Akilldema. If this helps you go here Akilldema CM9 Boot Anim Post and thank him.
Here's a 6mb version of the bootanimation.zip CM9 Boot Animation
It's not much better, if any. I think it's related to the phone booting. Also, when I preview the animation, it plays perfectly.
EDIT: NEW FILE: New CM9 Boot Animation
b) RAZR animation: If you like this, go here RAZR Boot Animation Post and thank.
RAZR Boot Animation
These are not the only ones..they're the only ones I've tested. Others may work, but use at your own discretion...Simply copy these into /system/media (be sure to edit the name of your CURRENT bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak so that if it does NOT work, you can always go back ) Upon reboot, you will have new animation.

Th3bill, you should take down the 6mb version/notes.. the best 2 for us are the 540x960 ones posted here: CM9 Boot Animations. The 60fps is better for me, smoother.

It ought to, especially if users first wipe their cache.
a) Include the new files in the appropriate folders within the zip
b) Execute corresponding "rm" commands in the update-script to blow away the existing files
c) After those rm commands, execute the copy_dir command(s)
d) Execute the set_perm_recursive command(s)
It really ought to work.
This guide is for reodexing your SGS3, such as UltimaROM, Omega, Foxhound, CodecROM, _null, Sotmax and others (I'm just listing off the top off my head).
It's not terribly tough and 100% of the credit belongs to rujelus22 for his amazing work on his AIO tool. This guide is just for deodexing/odexing, but you can use that tool for other things.
Firstly, why would you want to odex your ROM?
Well, this will help you understand more:
http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-tv-2/pro-tip-number-5-why-you-should-odex-and-deodex-xda-tv/
It's very useful and saves on battery life and makes the phone slightly more responsive.
Consider:
When you have downloaded and installed your chosen ROM you should odex it back up for the speed and agility odexing affords you. However you should ONLY do this after you are happy with your setup. I.E., install any mods you wanted and then Odex your phone.
If you want to add mods later, say, perhaps, your developer releases a new mod, or patch for your ROM you will NEED to Deodex the ROM before applying a patch or new mod. This is important. Please do not pester your dev about an error if you have not done this.
In my opinion, it can take maybe 30 minutes to Deodex, apply your mods/patch, and then Reodex using this tool, but the benefits are worth it.
You should also perform these actions AFTER a successful boot. You should flash the ROM. Boot. skip the setup pages and get to the homepage, then do this odexing.
How to do it:
Firstly, head off over to Rujelus22's AIO script thread and download it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955745
Don't forget to click "Thanks"
Make sure you also download these the Android-SDK and the Java Development kit. The SDK is necessary for the Deodexing, I believe, in case you want to do that later:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33268059&postcount=2
After that, extract the AIO script somewhere useful where you can find it again and run the "Start_AIO.bat" file. This will set up some folders in the directory you extracted to and then open the start page

After this make sure your phone is plugged into you computer and that USB Debugging mode is on in the Developers Options. ALSO, you must have an "Insecure Kernel" such as any custom kernel (Siyah, Perseus, Boeffla) or Wanam/zoot1's repacked stock kernel.
If you do not have an Insecure Kernel head off to Chainfire's adbd Insecure thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687590
You might considering buying it on Google Play, if you like, but there is a free XDA version.
After you are plugged in, on USB debugging and have an Insecure Kernel, load the AIO script and choose option "22" which reads "Odex the ROM on your phone". You will be given the opportunity to take a nandroid backup at this point.
Sit back and let it do it's thing. It will take about 10 minutes, and it will seem to hang on the clean up bit. Fear not, because it IS doing something. Your phone will automatically reboot when it has finished.
You're done! Once you have done that little bit of setting up... in future it is as easy as opening the script, hitting 22 and sitting back.
Notes/FAQ:
Sometimes it can constantly loop around the first page as though it is doing a first run. To solve this, go into "AIO_FOLDER/tools/Settings/" and create a new .txt file called "firstrun". Make the contents of the file 1. Just "1" and nothing else.
Sometimes it can say that you don't have remount access and the Odex option will not show. Similar to the point above, go into "AIO_FOLDER/tools/Settings/" and make a .txt file called "remount" and place a single 1 in the folder.
Deodexing can take some time. Be patient.
Can any ROM be Odexed this way, such as CyanogenMod, for example?
I think so, yes. As long as the script can find the bootclasspath!

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I've always stuck with Odexed ROMs for all the reasons that Adam discussed in the video, so I'd be very pleased if I could Odex CM. Best of both worlds.

Maybe you should add this to the op?
I still can't select 99->4->2 but now odexing options are available!
Nice tut, I'm a big fan of reodexing since I first tried it,
I'm kind of new to this things and have to questions;
1.- First specifically to UltimaROM, does it have to be odex ?
2.- When it says I should do it after I have the Rom as I want it, it does not interfere with installing apps right?

You do not have to odex if you don't want to, but I personally recommend it.
And installing apps from the Play Store will be 100% fine on an odex'd ROM.
However, ANY mod that changes a system app is likely to interfer. In this case you can deodex, then flash the mod, then reodex (optional).
This is mainly for those that flash, then don't mod. However modding is not impossible and it's worth the extra 10 minutes to do this.
I have installed everything according to the tutorial. But in the cmd window..its written Your Kernel does not support this feature [adb remount]
I am using the perseus Kernel. I insecured the kernel using "adb insecure" from chainfire. I think it was not needed but i did it when nothing was working. It still does not work
any help?
P.S. debugging is enabled
EDIT : SOLVED -------> USING THIS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39378436&postcount=164
Dang it, I feel like an idiot. I cannot figure out how to setup the variable path from the instructions. Do I need to make a new one in both system and user, or do I edit one that is already there?
What do I name them?
I tried to reodex UltimaRom v11 and had to modify the script too (set remountavlible=yes) in order to see option 22 so you might want to write that in the OP Kryten, it could prevent the question from being asked over and over
Maybe it is specific to some roms ?
I do everything as I should, but after I press any button after it says "Press any key to continue" at the screen with the snake head (Or whatever that is),it will give me an empty command prompt. No menu,no nothing.Any ideas guys? It's really starting to get on my nerves...
How to know if my phone was odexed?
After running script it says:
The phone rebooted, but there is no *odex files in System/App. Strange..
Hey there! Just want to confirm something.. It is said in the OP that we have to "deodex" to flash a new mod or patch. Is a ROM upgrade considered a patch? Do I have to deodex first to flash a new ROM version? Or it is safe to just flash the new ROM version while I'm still odexed and just re-odex after upgrading the ROM?
Thanks!
I have an odex folder on my internal SD card. Folder size is almost 500mb. Can I delete this folder.

CyanogenMod 7.2 for the Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6
Hello Galaxy Player community,
I finally compiled CM7 (Version 7.2) for our Galaxy Players 3.6.
Actually my build is not flashable, it's just an zip-file with the system, initramfs, bootstrap and more.
You can use this for developing or ROM porting.
This thread will be the development thread for CM7 on our devices.

1. FAQs
Q: Is this build flashable?
A: No, it isn't.
Q: Can I try to push the SYSTEM folder from the zip to my device?
A: Yes, but I can't guarantee that it will work, in worst case, just reflash the stock rom with ODIN.
Q: Is this for the EU or US version of the YP-GS1?
A: I think it will work on both, but I took the specs from an EU device.
Q: How long does it took to build it?
A: It took 2 months.
Q: Are the proprietary files already included?
A: Yes, they are.

Wow... There are really nice people who do all this hard work for free just for giving people some things that for them are impossible in other way...
I think that the less we can do is to say thank you and congratulations MrBubble (and all the people working on it)!

Yes, it is a complete CM7 build.
Solution for libcamera.so:
1. Download this: https://github.com/galaxyishere/android_vendor_samsung_galaxysl
2. Replace "galaxysl" in the files in the root directory with "hugo" (galaxysl-vendor.mk, galaxysl-vendor-blobs.mk and BoardConfigVendor.mk)
3. Replace the files in the dir called proprietary with the files from a system dump from your player 4.2 (You will find the files in: /system/vendor, /system/lib, /system/bin and /system/firmware)
4. Make directory: <cm7source>/vendor/samsung/hugo
5. Copy the files there
6. Try building, GOOD LUCK!

Downloading now will see what i can do
Okay i made a flashable zip file but it is not booting i think because it is missing the Boot.img file because it has no kernel now!!!
You need to compile a good kernel first before we can actualy try it out Thanks!!!
If you have a good kernel that is compitable with CM7 and our device i can modify the updater-script to let it install the kernel to then we can see if it will boot up!
PS:
This is maybe a better logo for your thread:

I've researched the problem with trying to make otapackage and apparently you need to include recovery before starting the build. I'm not sure how to include it but I'm pretty sure it's in BoardConfig.mk, something along the lines of 'TARGET_NO_RECOVERY := false' but then again I'm not quite sure, and btw did you include a prebuilt kernel?
Yeah we need a flashable zip for this to work otherwise it is useless thanks anyways if you need help PM me!

oZoP Development Projects are on the way!!!
I know development for this device has almost come to a stop and I want to make it clear,
LG v20 DEVELOPMENT IS ALIVE and FAR FROM DEAD!!!
Trust me, when you start playing with oZoP projects you will understand...
It may take me a long time for initial releases and I don't post updates weekly or for that matter even monthly, I build my projects for Final version ready!!
You've already seen my Aroma Boot/Shutdown animation project.
This is the second installment, just another of many sections that will be available in my full oZoP Aroma zip, hence the project Title
ONE ZIP ONE PLACE
System Transition Animations mod
By flashing this zip you will be given a bunch of choices for different system animation style for screen/window transitions, keyboard/toast views and many others. You will get an additional option to tweak a little for unique styles!!
So I give you this, UNIVERSAL for MOST devices Aroma installer to give users the option for different choices!
This zip will work for MOST device running ANY Rom with ANY version Android 5.0+!
How to use the ozop-restore.zip to revert/recovery quickly without the need to restore or reinstall the whole Rom:
And just to be safe, I have included in my scripts and files a method that will create a flashable restore zip of your files before the mods does its thing!
The restore zip will be inside the new "ozop" folder that has been created and the zip is named "ozop-restore.zip"
If something doesn't play nice, just flash the zip and you'll be back to the way it was before you flashed the mod
NOTE: the script will delete any existing restore zips EVERY TIME you flash a new option, meaning that if you flash the mod again, your original system files will be replace with the file you flash previously!
If you want to have a permanent back up of the original file, you will need to rename the zip inside the ozop folder to whatever, just can't have the same name or it gets replaces everything you flash the mod
BUG REPORT:
Code:
MIUI choice causing boot issues for some users (works fine for me), so be prepared to you the restore.zip if needed. Will look into a fix for future releases
Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm moy goimg to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amout of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind amd slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!
Anyway, I don't expect there to be many if any bugs! Been tested by myself and confirmed with users of this device!
Now grab the download and enjoy!

Deep Sleep Fix possibly... This worked for me, but not confirmed from others yet?
Steps I took to fix deepsleep are as follows;
1. Flash kernel (which means the need to flash root method (magick or supersu)
2. Flash attatched deepsleep fix
3. If its not already fixed reboot one more time.
Resource post
This is a quick tutorial to making a flashable zip of
Part 1 - Complete (compiled) files and
Screen Recording of the quick simple steps
Quick guide with detailed steps below
1. Download and extract the template file attatched below
2. Copy the file/files from your system using file manager of your choice
3. Paste the file/files to the "system" folder of the exctracted template folder (make sure the file path and names match EXACTLY as they are in your phones system)
4. Archive to "zip" the 4 folders in the template work area (data, META-INF, system and vrtheme)
You have now created a flashable zip which can be used to restore your files if and when you need. Just reboot to recovery and flash the zip.
Detailed step of of the above.
First is to download the attachment and extract everything to a location on your phone which is were you will be working.
The process is very simple
Basically you need to copy the location and folder directories of the file of which you want to make the backup.
Apk path as shown from Tib
Example, you want to create a flashable backup of the stock launcher.
Locate the file in the system (if you don't know the location there are apps in the Playstore that can assist with this)
Most files you would work with would be in system/app, system/priv-app or framework.
This example we are looking for the LGHome files. Using Titanium Backup I was able to locate the path of the files which is in system/priv-app/LGHome.
You will want to copy the main folder (LGHome) and all the contents within.
Now you will want to open the work area with the extracted files from my template.
You will be working in the folder labeled "system" (vrtheme instructions will be added later for more features)
The MOST IMPORTANT detail is that you copy the path with all folders and files being spelled the EXACT SAME, punctuation does matter you must match to exactly!
Since the "system" folder is already there, you will only need to create a new folder names "priv-app" now inside that folder you will add the LGHome folder and files it contains.
Do this same process for anything else you need.
Now that the folder and files have been added to the exact same location and are named the exact same you can archive the files as a zip.
You want to highlight the data, META-INF, system and vrtheme folder and then using the app of your choice (I use Root Explorer or Solid Explorer) hit archive and create the zip.
Now you can move the new zip to a convenient spot for easy flashing or leave it where it is, just as long as you know where it is and how to get to it from TWRP.
Now you have successfully created a flashable zip backup and can make changes as you wish. All you have to do it you run across problems is reboot to recovery and flash the backup zip you just made.
Part 2 - Injecting individual files with automated back-up flashable restore zip, the injectable files include images, xml, classes.dex amd resources.arsc
Vrtheme_template_includes_chrome_navbar_iOS_signalbars
Optimize Snapdragon 820 fixed version I only made this zip as per request. The mod file is not mine. I only added Aroma support for backup/restore and push the mod file.
The original thread is here
Good luck and happy experimenting!
Thanks OP. Will play around with this tomorrow!

Thank you for reporting, but I will need to update the OP it looks like. Apparently this only plays nicely with "Stock" based roms!
Just so I cam be sure of this, can you tell me which option you selected? Or if you did multiple (hopefully yoivread the OP section for "using the restore zip" because the restore zip only stays current to the previous flash, meaning unless you backed up the original restore zip after your first selection, it will get overridden everytime to flash a new selections which, unless you backed up the first one, would be placing the messed up files into the restore zip when changed to different style.)
Anyway
The OP is updated with link to fixed version 1a.

I can't remember that one, now I gotta change just so I can see!
I've meant to make a quick screen recording of each option, but it takes too long and I've got too many other things going on! Hint, hint anyone...
If anyone can just create the screen recordings, i will edit and convert for thread sharing.

Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes when the animations get changed, they need to settle in a bit. Then they get smoother, not always though. Play with animation speed in dev options to fine tune.
As for the InCallUI mods, I'm still waiting for feedback...
I don't want to post something that won't be compatible with peoples setups. Once I get some more feedback from users running other devices, I'll create a thread for the mod.
It can always wait until the full oZoP is ready..

Using missing links animations
Very cool stuff! Using missing link and loving it! Would be nice if we can have a preview of them all so we know what we're flashing prior too. Thanks for your work and sharing this..
I appreciate all the feedback and kind comments! Thank you all.
With the interest level I've seen here and the initial compatibility issue, I been putting in some extra work to get things cleaned up, looking nice and running smooth so when the full oZoP is ready it all comes together nicely!
That being said, I've updated the OP with a new version 1.1. Its not really much the average users will notice, just some script stuff, a couple of different things with drvice info in Aroma recovery tool and added more device support.
Nothing new with the actual animation so update if you choose.
I made this mods yrs ago and have been porting for devices along the way and it always is mentioned that previews would be nice and I've alwats agreed!
The thing is, probably are starting to get the idea what oZoP is by now...
With that said, this mod is one very small part of 1 sections of the full oZoP!
The thing with these previews for the full system animations is that there are a lot of views and behaviors to try and capture for a quick preview.
Then we start editing the recording to prepare the video to be converted so it can be shared directly in the thread.
All this takes a good amount of time and I simply have to many other things to work in the project and real life of course...
I have asked several times over the yrs, that is we all want to have previews could we team up some users and myself to make it happen, but unfortunately nobody has stepped up and offerd to help which is where we are now...
I have made some VERY short, very quick previews of just a couple of animations to try and help you guys out.
I will try to add more short previews as I find time, but that's the best I can offer being a one man crew...
PREVIEWS:
Note: these are just very quick runs and don't cover all of the various transitions, but you kindof get the idea...

Flashed ios animation through the very nice and entertaining aroma on my h918 running MEGAROM v5. Very happy!! Great job! Much better than stock that's for sure!

Do you have any issues with 10k modified? Like Bluetooth or anything?
Does the battery last on that kernel ?
What exactly is modified about it ?
I'd like to try it if it's running smoothly .
