X10i with CM7.2 - Battery Usage - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys
Before Reading: Sorry for my bad English It's not my first language
So, what I've made with my X10i last days:
Because of average 8 hours Battery-life with standard-battery, I bought a Polarcell battery with 1700mAh. Under Android 2.3.3 it works really fine! I'm charging my phone over night. The new Polarcell-Battery gives up to 20 hours!
But I got sick of X10's Speed. So I tried CyanogenMod 7.2 FXP with the FXP-Kernel and now I'm happy with the phone's speed!
[I also tried DooMKernel v0.5 for CM7, but my phone refuses to boot properly. Often it crashes after a few seconds running android-system]
Apart from Speed, my battery is now empty after 8 hours. [with Polarcell-Battery] According to Android's Battery-Stats, the "Standby-Networkconnection" [I don't now the Englisch word for the German "Mobilfunk-Ruhezustand"] need up to 65% of battery!!! I switched to 2G-only, but this doesn't change this percentage a lot.
Also Phone-Standby needs a lot of Battery.
Is this a bug of CM7.2 or the kernel? How can I avoid these behaviour?
Any tipps, tricks or tweaks?
Thanks for reading, I hope someone can help me.
Greetz!

baseband 54 on WB 2.3 rom?

hi there guys.
I've been testing and fooling around with a lot of roms for my dear x10, and something i've noticed is that with anything higher than baseband 54, on every rom i've tried, i experience huge battery drain issue.
Right now i'm with wb 2.3 rom with the almighty 71BB, and in 40 minutes from 100% i've gone down to 90% with some very short and occasional usage (sending/reading a couple of sms); battery usage has cell standby at 60%, screen 30% and miscellaneous to fill the rest.
Every time i popped up a new rom and switched to a new baseband i had this kind of problem.
Question is: Can i flash my oh so dear BB 54 right now, with wolfbreak 2.3 rom hotfix 5?

[A] battery drainers answer to longer standby time

well, I think I have an answer for u20i x10 mini pro that if we put gingerbread version the battery drains really fast...
last 20 hours, I worked with flashtool 0.2.9.1
I installed xrecovery version (freeXperia X8)with it then I optimized it.
reboot it, the install new fresh ROM. then see the differences.
maybe theres two possible answer:
1. the recovery is better than xrecovery that put by D4rKn3sSyS(I don't know yet).
or
2. the phone yet optimized.
success for all
changelogs :
- phone is really fast, no lags, no process running
- 15 hours battery remains 50%(way better)
- standy time not drains battery
- my battery isn't original, 2nd quality(I think the original is way more longer)

my battery lasts 43 hrs.
but i use the phone only for calls , music , camera and 1 or 2 games.
and i also use it on 2g network , undervolt and screen brightness ~30%.
and yes i use custom rom .... gingerdx...
undervolted??mine's undervolted yet..
does it 0%battery loss when phone's idle??
and please find me the tuts you use for undervolted your x10 mp

[Q] CM9 battery life

So I was getting very poor battery life on my Galaxy S II running Cyanogenmod 9 stable. As shown on the screenshot, my battery lasted only about 7 hours it requires a charge. I wasn't running a live wallpaper nor I was running any intense app. I tried to calibrate my battery but there was no improvements. May I know what's wrong? I didn't had some poor battery life while I was on previous roms such as checkrom and even the stock rom. Any helps appreciated. Thank you!

[Q] best battery rom and kernel??

Hey,what it's the best life battery rom and kernel for xperia x10 mini??Please, help me,I have CM 7.2 and my battery least only 18 hours. Please help me.
Every ROMs here are made with hard works and care. What developer would want to make bad battery ROM? The best way is to find it out yourself.
P.S. CM7 has very good battery. 18 hrs is great! isnt it?

with some sms per day (~100) and some other use, the rom i got most battery life was GingerSony, almost two days (for my x10minipro, but i think Teamvince created a x10mini rom as well) but even with that rom, if i play a game for some time, it wont even last one day, so battery life is not directly related to the rom itself but to the things you do with the phone, heavy use will mean heavy battery drain

Agree on everything mate, Gingersony really is the most stable and fast rom there is ( just need to flash the led fix ), and for me with that rom the battery lasts 3 full days ( 72H ) without shut down the phone and no charges, and it could last 4 days if i didn't have to listen to 1H of music a day, you probably are wondering how i get such battery life, well it's simple, i don't play games and i don't use much the wifi, i just listen music 1h a day and i send many sms ( even with those sms the battery doesn't drain that much ), and i don't overclock or undervolt, my settings are 480mhz max / 19 mhz min, no ram enhancement stuffs ( that eat more battery ), virtual memory 16 instead of 24/32/48, and card cache 128kb, with no animation effects and the brightness at the minimum, no gps or location services, no internet by data ( that eats battery ), gsm with 2g networks only, no automatic syncs with gmail, email etc.. and that's pretty much the settings i use xD. Take care of your battery and every rom will do you good , but i suggest Gingersony v06 yes .
If i helped you can press thanks...i think xD.

Crazy Seed, you recommend Gingersony v06, but it looks like the highest release for the X10 Mini was only v05. Is this correct or do you have another source?

Sorry mate your right, Sometimes i get confused with the x10 mini vs x10 mini 'pro' thing xD, mine is 'pro' xD.
But yes for your Mini the last one was V05, but i recommend you to port the V06 ( x10 mini pro version ) to that V05, because it has less bugs, i think xD.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't think I'm up to the task of porting a ROM though.

You're welcome. Don't think it's a hard thing to do, it actually is really easy xD, i will resume it for you.
First just extract the winrar of the rom you want to port and the rom that is for your phone.
- Just change the folders app/fonts/framework/media of your Rom to the ones that are on The rom you want to port.
On the "etc" folder:
- Remove all files in the Permissions folder except the files "handheld_core_hardware" and "platform" of your Rom and copy all the ones that are on the V06 except for those 2 files i mentioned.
- Then remove all files in the Init'd folder except the file "00banner" of your V05 and copy all the ones that are on the V06 except for that file i mentioned.
Then select the folders Meta-Inf and System ( and other folders if it exists there, but usually there's no more folders there ), Right click of the mouse, Add to Archive ( winrar ), put it as a .ZIP file and not .RAR, then OK, and there you have it .
And that's it xD.
If i helped press thanks

[HELP] Cannot manage to get acceptable battery life

Hello guys, i took my secondhand SGS2 coming from Xperia Arc, witch gaves me up to 50hrs uptime on light usage, at least 36hrs on hard usage. On I9100 i cant have more than 12 to 14 hours, even on light usage (few calls only, no browsing) and if i get it on hands, i already had it empty on about 6hrs of usage.
Already did several cycles, calibrated using Battery Calibration, reseted Fuel Gauge Chip using STweaks lots of times. No luck. Running Greenify to hibernate social apps and weather widgets. I dont use 3G as long as work and home have wi-fi spot.
On my first dual-core device, Atrix 4G, i had similar results as the mentioned.
Specs>
SGS2 I9100 - 16Gb internal SD
Kernel: Dorimanx 9.38
ROM: AOKP Milestone 2
Any clues? Sry bout the BD english >0
