[HELP] Cannot manage to get acceptable battery life - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, i took my secondhand SGS2 coming from Xperia Arc, witch gaves me up to 50hrs uptime on light usage, at least 36hrs on hard usage. On I9100 i cant have more than 12 to 14 hours, even on light usage (few calls only, no browsing) and if i get it on hands, i already had it empty on about 6hrs of usage.
Already did several cycles, calibrated using Battery Calibration, reseted Fuel Gauge Chip using STweaks lots of times. No luck. Running Greenify to hibernate social apps and weather widgets. I dont use 3G as long as work and home have wi-fi spot.
On my first dual-core device, Atrix 4G, i had similar results as the mentioned.
Specs>
SGS2 I9100 - 16Gb internal SD
Kernel: Dorimanx 9.38
ROM: AOKP Milestone 2
Any clues? Sry bout the BD english >0

X10i with CM7.2 - Battery Usage

Hey Guys
Before Reading: Sorry for my bad English It's not my first language
So, what I've made with my X10i last days:
Because of average 8 hours Battery-life with standard-battery, I bought a Polarcell battery with 1700mAh. Under Android 2.3.3 it works really fine! I'm charging my phone over night. The new Polarcell-Battery gives up to 20 hours!
But I got sick of X10's Speed. So I tried CyanogenMod 7.2 FXP with the FXP-Kernel and now I'm happy with the phone's speed!
[I also tried DooMKernel v0.5 for CM7, but my phone refuses to boot properly. Often it crashes after a few seconds running android-system]
Apart from Speed, my battery is now empty after 8 hours. [with Polarcell-Battery] According to Android's Battery-Stats, the "Standby-Networkconnection" [I don't now the Englisch word for the German "Mobilfunk-Ruhezustand"] need up to 65% of battery!!! I switched to 2G-only, but this doesn't change this percentage a lot.
Also Phone-Standby needs a lot of Battery.
Is this a bug of CM7.2 or the kernel? How can I avoid these behaviour?
Any tipps, tricks or tweaks?
Thanks for reading, I hope someone can help me.
Greetz!

[Q] Google now, battery monster?

Hello all,
I have a question for you all:
I have flashed a new rom today and have decided to NOT activate Google Now, and (after a few hours only), I seem to see a much better battery use?
Is it possible that this app, being monitoring so much all the time hoggs the battery quite a lot?
So, placebo effect or not?
Certainly possible I suppose, but I haven't noticed it drawing a significant amount of juice on my S3 or my Note 2.
I've had Now running in the background on my Note 2 for over 9 hours and the battery is still at 92% (minimal usage, just on WiFi), and while I'm getting tired of being notified about the ManU match, it doesn't seem to be drawing an inordinate about of power to run.
Is the new ROM you flashed using a different kernel or a newer revision of your previous kernel? In my experience, that's been the biggest factor in terms of power consumption.

Well, I am using temasek's CM10 Kang (70 I believe, latest anyway)
and with the kernel that came with it.
I ve tried other AOSP kernel, but no boot at all, so...
What I think is that XXDLIB modem does has a noticeable effect on good reception over here, so maybe that s the factor here?

[Q] Why the battery difference between stock android and Samsung rooms?

Self explanatory really, I much prefer having stock android on my s3 but the battery is much worse compared to roms running on a Samsung base.
I would like to know if this happens to everyone and the reason behind it since I've read the "nexus edition" S4 actually has better battery results than the Samsung variant.
Many thanks

Samsung includes a lot of battery saving technology in their roms but it is closed source so developers cannot access it.
I run a custom Samsung ROM and an AOSP - battery isn't noticeably different. I also use Greenify and I turn off auto brightness (run it about 50%) & blocki9ng mode. Overnight I see my battery drop by between 3% & 5%. 15 hours of normal use sees maybe 30 - 45% battery depending on how much game versus phone/SMS.
Best battery so far is 54 hours and at 28% - I was in Melbourne via train and forgot my charger. I know it is the TYPE of use that matters but I was making/receiving calls and spent about 45 mins as hotspot to the wife's laptop.
I run GoogyMax, v6.1 Purelook HD ROM and SlimBean ROM v 7. Haven't found anything not working, haven't got FC's.
Both ROM's installed on full wipe.
