Anyone having trouble with the YouTube app? Everytime I load a video it force closes. Was working fine yesterday. I uninstalled, cleared data and cache, then wiped dalvic and cache in cmw, reflashed gapps, etc. Nothing fixes it. I searched on Google and it appears Asus transformer users with ics are experiencing the same issue today. Also, it says incompatible when you search it in the market. Anyone else??
Edit: Users with Toshiba thrive are reporting the same issue. Maybe its a server issue?
Try this: http://dev-host.org/7mN
It is a phone version, but it works. You'll have to reflash gapps to restore the tablet app.

Today I started getting force close errors when I try and open people via the shortcut on my home screen or through the app list. I am running BAMF cubed for a week now with no issues so I don't think that is the problem. I tried restoring to a previous backup, wiped my dalvik cache and normal cache, did a wipe and flashed back to a clean install of BAMF Cubed and my "people" still force close every time I open it. Only thing I have left that I know of is a factory reset and unrooting to see if that fixes it but really don't want to. Process com.android.htccontacts force close is the error I am getting. Anybody have anything else I could try?
I had this trouble as well after I installed Google+ 2.0 and Music 4.0 from ICS. After I removed both, everything started working again.

That did the trick! Thanks a ton!
must be google +, no problems with google music from ICS on my bolt.
From reading a few different forums, I can confirm this... The leaked google+ app is causing that issue on all roms.

Since ics update on the prime the Gmail app will freeze and close whenever I try to use it. Anyone else have this issue? Google maps also. Same issue

Works fine for me...
This would be considered a question. Could you please ask the mod to have this moved to the Q&A section?
Agreed with the last post. Should be in teh Q/A Section
Try going to settings --> apps --> manage apps --> gmail --> clear data and cache
Do this again for maps.
If that doesn't work, try a factory reset.
I had it but it seems to have resolved itself...

Have you tried clearing data, and cache yet? Or do a factory reset. All my issues went away after I did that.

Yep, should be moved to Q and A.
I'm not experiencing this problem BTW
Cool if a mod move. I won't get angry lol. I cleared cache and reset the prime and it stopped occurring. Well see if it comes back

Since I updated to OTA .15 I have this issues. If I reboot the prime all seems to work fine again. But after a while and using apps/games resource-intensive (like THD games or Gameloft) Gmail and Maps crashes again.
Clearing cache and app data doesn't solve the problem.
I don't have this problems with OTA .11
My ATP is WW international.
Every time I go to "my channel" the app fc's. Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues with it.
(edit) - disregard, I just had the bright idea to check the market reviews to see if this issue was mentioned and it's currently riddled with complaints of this very issue.

It also happens to me since yesterdays on my ICS Asus tablet. Cannot uninstall the app and reinstall it.
issue is wide spread. having problems with youtube on Honeycomb tablet
It seems it got fixed. Don't have the problem anymore.

I cleared the cache and the data and force closed the YouTube app and it is working perfectly for me on me Xoom with ICS
Thanks
Clearing the cache and force closing did the trick. Never would have thought to do so.
so far i have had no problems with youtube
Yes... thanx
Hey everyone.
Ever since upgrading to .15 OTA, I've had issues with Google Maps. I have force killed the app, cleared the cache etc. But basically, the app will suddenly freeze up, then die, taking me back to the desktop.
I had no issues whatsoever with previous firmwares.
Has anyone else got this? Any fixes?

I faced the same issue yesterday! It loads maps and as soon as the GPS gets a fix, the GPS service and the maps just crash. Am on .15 firmware too.
I've tried with and without GPS enabled and it happens either way.
I' also uninstalled updates to use the ROM version and it's the same there.
However, I think I've just fixed it. I've done a reboot and it seems stable for now. I'll report back if it isn't fixed for good
I am having same issue. If I keep trying Google Maps, it eventually stops crashing.

Try rebooting the pad. it worked for me. Still going strong.
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing app data/cache, rebooting, etc, but my gmail keeps doing this:

Any ideas on a fix?
Running MeanROM. Problem appeared out of nowhere yesterday.
Try goin in to recovery and do fix permissions and then reboot and see if that fixes your problem hope that helps
....and in recovery aswell clear cache and dalvik cache in recovery aswell try that

Mine just started doing something similar about two hours ago. It will flicker when I try to open an email or scroll down. Plus, I can't back out. I have to hit the home button to exit. Re-installing multiple times and wiping cache from recover didn't help either.
It has something to do with YouTube believe it or not. Go to your YouTube app and uninstall it. Wipe caches and reboot. You can go back to the market and download the YouTube app but don't log in or you will get the same thing.

This morning bug also got on my evo, unrooted, stock ROM.
We are not alone, also on other phones happening the same. Looks like it has to be a google issue and big G responded already - they are working on the issue and fixing it.

That's odd! I just tried mine and my gmail works flawlessly...that sux for those having this issue though
haha.
mine did this today, so i uninstalled it. Kept crashing the phone.
Nice i was not alone with it, I was blaming the custom rom.
thats crazy there....never seen mine do that here ever...scrolling side to side like that over and over would drive me nuts.
Finally gmail started to work again on my device, after 15 hours.

I have no issues yet, but that's good that Google acknowledged it and are working on a fix.
