Since ics update on the prime the Gmail app will freeze and close whenever I try to use it. Anyone else have this issue? Google maps also. Same issue

Works fine for me...
This would be considered a question. Could you please ask the mod to have this moved to the Q&A section?
Agreed with the last post. Should be in teh Q/A Section
Try going to settings --> apps --> manage apps --> gmail --> clear data and cache
Do this again for maps.
If that doesn't work, try a factory reset.
I had it but it seems to have resolved itself...

Have you tried clearing data, and cache yet? Or do a factory reset. All my issues went away after I did that.

Yep, should be moved to Q and A.
I'm not experiencing this problem BTW
Cool if a mod move. I won't get angry lol. I cleared cache and reset the prime and it stopped occurring. Well see if it comes back

Since I updated to OTA .15 I have this issues. If I reboot the prime all seems to work fine again. But after a while and using apps/games resource-intensive (like THD games or Gameloft) Gmail and Maps crashes again.
Clearing cache and app data doesn't solve the problem.
I don't have this problems with OTA .11
My ATP is WW international.

Anyone having trouble with the YouTube app? Everytime I load a video it force closes. Was working fine yesterday. I uninstalled, cleared data and cache, then wiped dalvic and cache in cmw, reflashed gapps, etc. Nothing fixes it. I searched on Google and it appears Asus transformer users with ics are experiencing the same issue today. Also, it says incompatible when you search it in the market. Anyone else??
Edit: Users with Toshiba thrive are reporting the same issue. Maybe its a server issue?
Try this: http://dev-host.org/7mN
It is a phone version, but it works. You'll have to reflash gapps to restore the tablet app.

Same issue here on my touch pad...
Having the same issue! I'm about to wipe my Prime to see if that clears it up. But if its YouTube then I may wait.
Edit: Just checked my wifes SGT 10.1 and it to is force closing. Looking to be YouTube issues.

Its working fine for me now. How about others?
Mine quit working yesterday any ideas.
Working for me too. Must've been a YouTube/Google problem.....
Every time I go to "my channel" the app fc's. Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues with it.
(edit) - disregard, I just had the bright idea to check the market reviews to see if this issue was mentioned and it's currently riddled with complaints of this very issue.
Posted via XDA App on my Atrix 4G
It also happens to me since yesterdays on my ICS Asus tablet. Cannot uninstall the app and reinstall it.
issue is wide spread. having problems with youtube on Honeycomb tablet
It seems it got fixed. Don't have the problem anymore.

I cleared the cache and the data and force closed the YouTube app and it is working perfectly for me on me Xoom with ICS
Thanks
Clearing the cache and force closing did the trick. Never would have thought to do so.
so far i have had no problems with youtube
Yes... thanx
I just purchased an Asus TF Prime today and updated it to ICS 4.0.3. Everything seems to work pretty damn good, however i cannot enter the "my Apps" section of market. It FCs immediately. The other parts of the market work just fine. I've cleared the cache and the data and still does not work. Can someone maybe clue me in on what can be done?
It seems to crash when trying to auto update through "My apps."
I had the same problem starting today. I updated the apps manually through other parts of the market and all seems normal now when I view my apps.
Yea I updated manually and it seems to kinda work. No big deal though.

I'm also getting the same problem. Hopefully Google sorts it out soon.

Does this happen on anyone else's TFP? It does not happen all of the time but large HTML messages will make it freeze and if I touch the screen too soon it will give me the not responding message and I select "wait" or it will just shut down. Sometimes it won't even be HTML emails that will make it hang, I will just open the apk and get a white screen that does nothing. I have 3 emails hooked up to it, is that what is effecting it so much but if so why does my phone Gmail app work great? Just probably my most frustrating thing about my tablet as everything else works really well and this is the #1 thing I use mine for. Any ideas? I just cleared data and cache so we shall see if that helps at all. I would prefer not to use a 3rd party app but I guess I may have to. If I do need a 3rd party app what are your suggestions that act very closely to Gmail? Thanks a ton for your help.

Mine is working fine. Try logging out and back in. Also, try wiping cache.
I'm having the same issues. Just started happening out of the blue a few days ago too. Erased cache, killed the process & restarted, rebooted the tablet.. Keeps happening. :-/
My problem started on OTA.14 Not fixed on .15

I've got the same problems, black screens, force closes, all kinds of nonsense. Wiping cache etc sorts the issues for an hour or so, then it's back
This is a massive pain. Is anyone having any luck sorting this yet?
S
Same Here
Lock ups, black screens, and force closes. Man, this really frustrates me because I didn't have these issues on my old transformer. Its not just my Gmail also. My corporate mail and G+ sometimes do the same thing. Its gotta be something in Ice Cream Sandwich.
Hey everyone.
Ever since upgrading to .15 OTA, I've had issues with Google Maps. I have force killed the app, cleared the cache etc. But basically, the app will suddenly freeze up, then die, taking me back to the desktop.
I had no issues whatsoever with previous firmwares.
Has anyone else got this? Any fixes?

I faced the same issue yesterday! It loads maps and as soon as the GPS gets a fix, the GPS service and the maps just crash. Am on .15 firmware too.
I've tried with and without GPS enabled and it happens either way.
I' also uninstalled updates to use the ROM version and it's the same there.
However, I think I've just fixed it. I've done a reboot and it seems stable for now. I'll report back if it isn't fixed for good
I am having same issue. If I keep trying Google Maps, it eventually stops crashing.
