Hi just a couple of questions, i have had a look for the answer but no luck so far.
My phone details - Samsung Galaxy S II i9100
Kernel - Chainfire kernel XXKI4 with CWM and Power user already installed
Firmware 2.3.4
1. I want to flash CM7 to my phone but i want to keep all my settings, apps and data. So when i have CM7 installed i can just apply all my data, apps, settings etc. Is this possible
2.Can i use CWM to to install the rom or do i have to use rom manager, are their any noob tuturials that i can read about
3. Is their any good alternatives to CM7 that i could look it first
Thanks
Questions 1 and 2 are covered in the CM7 Q&A thread. Question 3 is impossible to answer.

This is a problem for me for 3 days now. I installed WanamLite first, then tried Leomar's ROM. I accidentaly noticed this. I tried changing ROMs, Kernels and even done a Factory Reset. But nothing helps.
What are the possible fix for this?

Its better if you first flash 2.2, then speedmod (for recovery) then CM7, and then ICS.
Its a short process, i highly recommend you to do it, you can try on your ROM, but im not 100% sure it will work and you may brick your phone.
Hi all!
Need some help here. Finally got the title right. Now here's my issue:
1. Different ROMs and kernels
2. Flash back stock ROM and kernels
3. Wipe everything using CWM and through the phone setting
4. Wipe cache and dalvik but not use clear data on CWM
The problem happens whenever I am flashing over stock (or anything close to stock) ICS. JB and GB roms have no problem but only ICS. So, what is wrong guys?
I am running out of ideas so please help. (p/s I did try to search here and Google but can't find an answer )
Why on earth did you create this new thread when a solution to your problem is already posted to their previous thread (which you also opened).
As a senior member, i expect you to follow the forum rules.

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this Forum so please pardon if i'm not following any rules and mistakenly posted the thread in the wrong location.
I had installed Clockworkmod Recovery from "theandroidsoul"
Then I have Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100. Recently i have installed a custom ROM on it provided by JellyBam ROM 20121023 – i9100 (courtesy: igio90.)
It has upgraded my phone to:
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband: I9100DDLP8
Kernel Version:[email protected]
AOKP Version: JellyBam.AOKP.Build5
Build number: JellyBam AOKP 20121023
I have found it to be unstable as there were many functionality that have been lost including FM, 5.1 surround sound, MTP and mass storage connection, etc.
I would like to remove the ROM completely and install another of ROM
Please suggest me the following:
1. can i go back to ICS 4.0.1 by removing this rom and instaliling ICS from odin? what would be a recommended procedure for it?
2. Will i BRIK my phone in this process?
3. Can i install any other version of Jelly bean custom rom using ODIN, what would be a recommended procedure for it?
Guys i need your help ASAP as i cannot stay with this unstable ROM for long. any help is hugely appreciated.

from what i can see you need a stable custom ROM with nice Features, i recommend you Cyanogen Mod 10 Jelly Bean... i Have it on my XPERIA ARC S and it works perfectly with no detected bugs, only one thing that i dont care about is that no more HDMI setting... the prcedure is quit easy and if you got stuck you can go back and ask for help, i dont think you can brick your phone if you follow steps and make a minor mistake.. if you would like to try, i can help you in everything, and please hit "THANKS" if i helped

Install Cm10, nice, no bugs so far, check forums for your device.
I have searched everywhere and didn't find anything related to my phone.
So I have a Galaxy SII (GT-I9100) running CyanogenMod 10 and I want to install BLN. I found Siyah Kernel on the net and it supports BLN.
Now my questions are:
1: Will flashing Siyah Kernel wipe my files? I can't afford that right now.
1b: What will happen with my CM10 rom? I read about dual boot, but I am really stuck, I wish to have one ROM and not two.
2: Can I use the latest Siyah Kernel for this? At gokhanmoral website.
3: What will change? I am running CM10 (see picture attached).
4: Is battery life really improving?
5: Is there any change I brick my phone losing all data?
Thanks in advance,
Nerminzz.
