Hey guys I need some help... I can't seem to figure auto how to corrrectly calibrate my battery. I calolibrated it the other day and now it tells me I have 7% with 3805mv left on the battery. Now maybe I'm wrong but I thought the normal full charge on this phone was around 4200?

Let your phone completely die, pull the battery, and plug in the phone until the missing battery icon shows. Then pop the battery back in and let it charge to 100% WITHOUT turning it on. Once it reaches full charge, power it on. If it still doesn't show, pull the battery, leave the phone plugged in, and put the battery back in once the missing battery icon shows. Let it charge for 15 - 30 minutes, then power it back on. Calibrate the battery, then unplug your phone and let it discharge without break, then let it charge to 100% and you should be good to go. Always works for me.

Got my extended battery today and put it on the charger. Once it got to 99%, it doesn't want to go that last 1%. Battery monitor widget shows it at 2722/2750 for the last 4 hours with a 200mah current the whole time. I've restarted the phone and cleared stats but that has done nothing for me.
Try powering the phone off and letting it charge until full, the light will turn green when done. Then power it on and let it charge again until full. That should do it. First charge until full may take a while.

Same thing here, I just rebooted my phone.
THUNDERCATS ARE GO
For some odd reason my phone won't charge past 98%?
I've tried clearing the battery stats but no change.
Any recommendations? I know its only 2% so its not much of a big deal.
Download Battery Calibration from the market and see what it says that your mv level is. it should be at or very close to 4200mv. Charge it over night and when you wake up check it to see what the max is...then hit Battery Calibration and don't charge it till it dies. My suggestion is to use it normally for the day and then play games or watch videos when you are ready to kill it. once you kill it let it charge all the way up again, then see what it charges to.
I'll let you know how it works out in a day or so.

This helped me with that issue
Funny trick. When it. Hits 98% connect it to your computer, mount it as none. And let it get to 100%. Then let it stay in the charger for 5 minutes after

Even when it says 100% it may not be charged all the way. Better to go by mV, 4200mV being full charge.
u don't have to download anything. just go into dialer and type in *#*#4636#*#* and open battery info. if u fully charged your phone, it should be at 4200mV. leave it plugged into the ac charger and remove the battery. hold in the volume down button and enter android recovery. erase battery stats then insert battery and reboot. should be fixed.
Im unlocked rooted running wetdream. Ever since installing it, the battery indicator wont show charge beyond 95%. When charging with phone off, it reaches 100% but as soon as I power on, it only shows 95%. I've done battery cal app, let die completely twice, charge overnight, pull battery while still plugged in (which I never got missing battery notice for) and wiped battery stats in recovery. Is this something I just need to learn to live with or anyone have any other ideas? Btw, im loving nottachs wetdream rom. I know this has been posted elsewhere, I've tried all those tips. Just wondering if there are any new tried tips I can look into. Tia

Have you tried a fresh reflash of the ROM after you did the battery calibrations?

How did it fix it for you? I tried it last night and still only reached 95%
No need of any app. Just drain the battery till it powers off. Full charge without switching it on. Should get the 100% bck.

i had same issue too, tried a full wipe or flashed different sbfs, but it didn't work at all.i guess it is gingerbread's fault.this didn't happened in 2.2.

I never had this on stock, but with the 10% changes in battery, would I have noticed.
When you are installing custom ROM, this is expected. You can try this,
Steps:
1. Drain your battery till gets shut off, then charge it till it says "Fully Charged" irrespective of 95% or 100%.
2. Once charged, Reboot the phone in recovery mode, keep the phone plugged into charger
3. Start it in Recovery mode using CMW, then remove battery stats
4. Switch off the phone
5. It show battery icon with %, with plugged in remove the battery
6. it will show missing battery icon, then insert the battery.. it will show 5% or 20%
7. Charge it for 3-4 hrs, then reboot the phone, you will see 100%
This Fixed for me...
Hi I've been using Neutrino for weeks and have not been able to get past 97pc battery using all techniques on xda. I finally fixed it yesterday when I installed clamsysns 1.5 kernel and charged over night and it was back to 100.

Just an update. I installed the newest version of wetdream yesterday. Got it to charge to 100% then thru resetting up phone and such, dropped to 18%. Recharged but didn't make it to 100% this time. Got to 95% but 4200mv, so I assumed full charge. At that time it was bedtime, so decided to just plug back into charger for the night. This morning it read 100% again. So its basically getting its full charge, just not showing all the time. A glitch I guess ill have to live with.

i am trying to do this, but no matter how long my phone stays connected it never says fully charged, just keeps showing the animated goo at 90% on top of battrey, it can do that forever, should i try what you said even if it does not say fully charged?
I made the mistake of letting the battery drain completely while in standby in my View so I put it on the charger last night and it doesn't seem to be charging. Its been at least 8 hours plugged in with the factory charger and not even so much as the charger light has turned on. I can try my phone charger but i think that will just take longer. How long should I wait before I start to really worry?

I had my View go completely out. I plugged it in and turned it on, and it charged up. Now I do a hard power off (I use the "Quick Boot" market app, but one could also simply hold the power button down for 20 seconds). If the device is simply powered off with the switch, it still consumes power, at least in my case.
Yea I know about that. My view was in standby with me just tapping the power. I'm going to try putting it in the freezer when I get home and see if that helps it to charges again.

Also, try pushing the power button in while it is plugged in. Mine did not show charging either until I tried to power it on.
BTW, a battery produces it's highest power when warm, not cold. It stores better in the cold...
Oh I tried powering it on while plugged in. Didn't make a difference.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
well the freezer didn't seem to make any difference. At least not other than making it cold. Only left it in there for 20 minutes, maybe it has to go longer. Just tried a repair shop and they want 50 to open it open and then 75 more IF they can fix it.

What ROM are you using? The View and Flyer charger (inside the unit) is software controlled. If you don't have a good recovery load, it won't charge when it's powered down. You may have to open it up and disconnect the battery then connect the battery directly to a charger. There is a thread on how to do this.
Interesting. I will have to look up the thread on doing that.
Rom is Desensedview 1.5.

Don't know what happened but the phone is fully charged, according to the charge thingy before boot. But I can't turn the phone on. It came on once this morning and said it had 4% then died. So I plugged it back into the charger and its still saying its charger. But when its charging I can't turn the phone on and once the screen times out I can't turn the screen back on. I have to unplug then plug back in. The cables are just fine. I've tested on 4 different cables and 3 charge wall ports

Can you get into CWM recovery? What ROM are you on?
I've noticed on ICS Roms that you can't power the phone on while it's charging like you can on TouchWiz Roms. I couldn't even press.the power.button to see how far it had gotten. It's like the power button is disabled when charging when turned off.
The only thing I could do was let it charge for a while then unplug it from the charger and it would power up.

That's what its doing. But no matter however long I leave it plugged in it still dies as soon as it boots up with a brief notice of a low battery. I changed out the battery and it still happens. As for cwm, ill have to check later. I'm watching a movie then probably going to bed. Ill mess with it tomorrow and see what I can figure out

Can you reboot recovery as soon as it boots up? If you can, flash http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2056318/update-template/bstats.zip to wipe your battery stats.
You don't need to flash anything to wipe your battery stats and furthermore wiping battery stats will do nothing to fix the issue. The stats file is simply a .txt file, the device does not decide that the battery is low based upon that...it reads the milliamp hour output of the battery itself. When the battery reaches that predetermined output level it shuts down to prevent over discharge and battery damage. It's similar to what you see in RC trucks and such when using LiPO batteries. They include a failsafe to prevent damage to the cells from over discharge. I would recommend trying a battery that you know is good (not just assume) get a cheapo off Ebay for a few bucks our try charging in an external charger OR if there is a US Cellular shop nearby they will swap a dead battery for a charged one. The mesmerize is obviously identical.
If all that were to fail try starting out with a fresh wipe and reinstall of your rom and kernel, there may be something funked up in there if you have "dirty" flashed at some point.
Just some thoughts...
