I have down loaded and am using two great cab files that I am now using on my Sprint TP. One is BT on/off, and the other is WIFI on/off. In particular I have mapped BT on/off to a soft key on my TF3d home screen (easier than having to take 3 steps to access comm manager) Quickly turn BT on and off (toggle).
Does any on know if there are any cabs out there that create a program icon to turn on, and turn off the Sprint data connection (toggle it on and off, like the sliding comm manager feature?
I would map it to another softkey on my TF3d home location. I am already aware of being able to terminate the data connection via the long press option quick list.
I like to turn off the connection, fairly quick after I use it to conserve battery.
Bump. Any one know how to do this?
as far as the last line in your post...
if you have advanced config 3.3
go to
menu > more settings > connections >
there you will see an option to automatically turn off your data connection after a specific time... from a few seconds to hours...
ive set it to 1 min... seems to be workin.
Thanks, I already did that. It works, I just like to have the ability to do it manually one click.
I had a skyrocket for about a week before "upgrading" to the S II I'm using now. On the SR, there was a way to create an icon/shortcut on the TW "home" screen that went directly to the tethering (portable hotspot) options within settings. This made turning on (and off) the portable wifi hotspot much easier/quicker.
Is there a way to do this on the S II? If so, how/where?
Thanks
Gary
I do not see a way to have that with stock hotspot. Imagine that would come in handy.
Though Lidroid rom has a shortcut for wifi hotspot in with the toggles.

I tried using the app any cut to make a short cut to turn nfc on and off from my home screen but couldn't figure it out. Anyone else figure it out or know how to toggle nfc from the home page?

Thanks for your reply! In the app any cut i try to choose an activity. The problem is under choose an activity is that i only have 3 nfc options. Nfc task launcher, NFC Test, nfc test. Unfortunately I don't have nfc menu...
Good evening everyone,
It seems I have manahed to turn on the Talkback feature on my Gear S but I cannot turn it back off. I can navigate to Settings but I cannot get my Gear to scroll down to Accessibility so I turn this mess back off. Using S Voice doesn't help either. Is there a way to reset the device remotely or via a desktop?
EDIT: Solution found. After Googling, I found information on how to scroll (must use 2 fingers with Screen Reader activated) and got back to the option in question to turn it off.
Hi all,
Any ideas where I can find a floating dock for Nokia 8? My primary purpose is to be able to avoid using the button on the side to turn the screen off/lock the device. There are several available on the Play Store however they do not offer the ability to turn the screen off individually. I have to enter the pin when I wake up the device?
Alternatively, any gesture app would work too...I coud doube tap anywhere on the homescreen to turn the screen off!
Thanks!

You can use Microsoft Launcher and set home button as turn off screen.
If you don't mind widgets, Screen Lock by Prahallad works. No problem with fingerprint/PIN (have to enable support in settings). Doesn't fully lock immediately; screen blanks then in few seconds device enters actual locked state.

yeah well, then again, its a whole launcher....I like my pixel launcher as is....just need a small app for the dock...not looking to install an entire launcher for that purpose. But thanks man!
P.s. I did install it and check it out....however, it locks the device rather than turns the screen off....so back to square one
