Im going to lose my mind! I've searched and read and found no real answer..... Is there anyway that I can get my phone out of the boot screen?
Ive downloaded and rooted before and never had a prblm! I download this certain Rom Lastnight and all of a sudden my phone is stuck on the boot screen! I've tried everything i can with it and no luck. Does anyone have some type of info on what i can do or is there no hope for my poor lil droid?
Please let me know!
Thanx in advance!
Have you tried a battery pull? Pop that out and back in, reboot into recovery and restore your nandroid back up. Should be fine from there...
What I do when this happens to me is pull the battery, wipe my phone, re-apply the rom, then reboot.
-If that does not work, then revert back to your nand backup.
Thanks for the ideas but I tried both of those actions first and got nothing in return. This sukks! I even tried to go back and load the PB00img zip tha i had and no go. I'm guessing that i Bricked this dam Phone!
Back to the Blackberry! Damn!
Do you think its possible that i can load a new Rom and try to boot the phone into recovery and flash that zip? The problem seems to be my boot screen! I've seen post with people with similar "situations" <--------lol (not From Jersey shore) and tried those methods and once again nothing.
Sucks that you are still having this issue. The next step I can think of would be if you have SDK set up then once it is stuck on the boot screen, run a logcat and post it here so someone that is smarter than I can figure out where you are running into problems at. You'll need to navigate to your SDK/tools folder (in the Command window of course...) and then once there just type in: adb logcat .
This will result in a myriad of crazy computer language stuff. Should be able to tell us something at least.
First, take a deep breath; your phone is not bricked. Far from it in fact.
Second, prove to yourself that it isn't bricked by booting it into the custom recovery:
Power it off, and then hold down Vol-Up (first) and the End (second); keep pressing both buttons until the three skating droids have appeared. The custom recovery menu should pop up about 10-12 seconds after that.
Third, download "some other certain ROM" (I get to be as vague as you are, right?) to your PC, and get it to the root folder of your SD card somehow. Look up "USB-MS toggle Amon_RA" if you don't already know what that is.
Fourth, flash that "some other certain ROM" and prove to yourself that your phone is not bricked, making sure that you perform a "Wipe data/factory reset" first before you flash the ROM.
Then, after you've shown yourself how it is possible to do these steps, go back and try to figure out why the other "certain ROM" doesn't work on it's first boot. Try popping out the SD card before you boot it to see if that is the trouble.

@es0tericcha0s, Thanks for the response but instead of doing more harm to the phone i just took it to VZW, (Kinda) Explained what happen and they switched it out no prob.
@bftb0 lol Be as Vague as possible.... I didn't want to say any particular Rom for the simple fact that who ever did the Rom i'm sure worked hard at it, And evevn tho i'm not new at this, it could very possibly be my mistake somewhere in installing it! SO I choose to respect the XDA and The Dev But thanks for your awesome response! (no Sarcasm intended) lol
(android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. FC.) Seeing this message constantly, can't get into settings to reset g tab to factory settings, can't pull up keyboard, can't get into any of the recovery modes, etc...
Tried to nvflash g tab with no success, not sure what the problem is and I'm at my wits end, PLEASE HELP ME, ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure what ROM you're using but if you can get into recovery mode you can access Fix Permissions from there.
Advanced > Fix Permissions.
I tried pressing the power and volume+ at the same time, it goes to the recovery image, then directly to completeing the boot process, it won't let me into the recovery mode. Ant suggestions?
Have you got clockworkmod installed?
No sir. But I can't get into recovery mod at all, nor settings, keyboard, nothing.

You need clockworkmod first.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865245
I can't get into recovery mode to install clockworkmod with the tablet nor can I get into or access settings, contacts, calendar, keyboard, because each time I try to access the things listed, I get the same error message; the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly.please try again.

You say: tried nvflash with no success, means you cannot nvflash your tablet or you did but this did not help? I assume you cannot finish nvflash...
Btw, what ROM is in your gtablet?
Im not sure, w/o being able to access the system of the tablet, Im really not sure. Everytime I try to access the system for things like settings, contacts, calendar, I continue to get the same message in the post above. The onscreen keyboard won't come up either.
Its your contacts. If you can wipe your contacts it will go away. Sometimes when syncing your contacts partial data gets sent and is displayed as unknown. This contact has no info and causes s the process.acore problem.
You can even just delete the corrupted contacts and it will go away.
If somehow you can get to settings, apps, manage apps, then select the contacts app and clear cash and data.
Good luck. You can do this, just take your time and use fast fingers.
you can try in adb:
adb shell rm /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts2.db
Does anyone else know of a way to gain access to contacts, tablet settings, onscreen keyboard, or calendar, or for that matter, delete corrupted contacts?
A little bit more help Vald_z, what is adb?

If you cannot get into settings or some kind other file manager normal way and delete this contact database then ADB might be your chance. ADB stands for Android Debug Bridge.
Basically you connect gtablet to your PC and if PC got SDK driver installed you can access your tablet file system through ADB command.
PS: I thought that since you were talking about nvflash then you already know about ADB. Well, also nvflash should recreate all partitions on your gtablet. When you run nvflash, you should see kind of progress messages and it should finish without errors then you might be sure you nvflashed your gtablet.
On other thought, nvflash doesn't touch partitions on SDCARD and I don't have my gtablet at a moment to verify where DATA partition is.
Could nvflash cwm and have cwm clear cash or factory reset data. It will take you about half an hour to read up on it and about 10 min to setup and flash.
Oh and in the future, checking the contacts and deletion of the unknowns should become part of the flashing a new rom process. If you have gotten it once you will get it again. Its corrupt data on Google's side so any time contacts is synced they could pop up. Turn of auto sync contacts and check your contacts first thing after you boot up a new rom.
You can install CWM via nvflash

Ok, I did the pwr vol+ to get into recovery mode,( with the birds, gtablet, tapntap, n, ), I get the recovery image, then it reboots ( with the birds, gtablet, tapntap, n ) and directly to the classic home screen, never going to the actual recovery screen to manipulate the tablet, why is it doing this and what can I do to get it to go to the recovery screen? I can't do CWM, or know if I've loaded CWM on the tablet. I know I've asked alot of questions, and I apologize, but I'm really trying to follow all the instructions give by all of you, and I really do thank you all, but I'm really determined to get this tablet working properly and enjoy the benefits of this tablet and all it has to offer. I'm still getting the same FC message as I've stated at the beginning of my thread. The ROM I think that's on the tablet right now is TnT 3588, still no keyboard, settings, or contacts access. I've even tried starting from scratch, and will probably try it again before someone answers this post. Please don't give up on me guys, I'm determined to get this right just need some coaching from you. Thank you so much for all that you've already done.
duplaine1, it doesn't sound like you've tried installing CWM via nvflash.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058649
You will need to power on the tablet using POWER and Vol-. Either create a batch file with the command or run the command as in the post. If this doesn't work, based on your original post, you are wanting to do a factory reset, so you can use the following post to flash your tablet to stock ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=861950
From there you can load CWM and either stay at BL1.1 or upgrade to BL1.2.
Also, when you are doing this make sure you are installing the correct version of CWM to match the ROM you are installing (or have installed). I have 2 Viewsonic G tablets and I discovered the hard way I had to use the file in the nvflash deprecated folder on one of them.
Your recovery is borked. You need to nvflash. Its not hard just read the instructions on Gtablet for dummies.com
Hi!
I try to tell my lovely story, let's hope someone can help me, because i am in a huge trouble.
Today i installed WIFIunlocker on my device, and unfortunately, i gave access to the device administrator right to the application, plus i set up a password. Using the app i realised this is not that iam looking for, so i decided to remove it. Tryed to uninstall it, but for the first try i got an error, later on i realised that i need to turn off the device administrator mode inside the app, everything is fine, i was able to unintall it. Now the nightmare starts...
After uninstalling the app, locking the screen then unlocking the phone, it asks for password. I was a bit surprised because i just removed the related app. Nvm, i just entered my "password", but it was wrong. Before the uninstall it worked, now, after the uninstall it doesn't. At this point i can't do anything with the phone, because iam stucked on the "password screen".
What i did today:
- started from Litening rom v2.0
- i was hopeless, so wiped data/factory reset, wiped cache + darvik cache, formated system+data+cache
- installed LeoMar v2.5
- After the boot the it still asked for the password, i removed the sim-card, and somehow was able to access the phone, but unfortunately it locked itself, the "password screen" popped up again.
- My last try was flashing stock KG6 rom then later on CF-Root, but now i can't boot the phone into recovery mode. Download still works.
- What happends when i try to boot it to recovery, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 title shows up, but after that immediately asking for the "password". Before this, the phone booted fully / i was able the access the recovery mode.
So my question is, what can i do now? How can i get rid of this "password screen?"
Youtube video
Same problem
But I switched off administrator mode before uninstalled
and i used only one password so it can not be wrong.
I think that the app is a joke or a prank?
DID you managed to fix that?
Well I managed to make my phone the same brick as yours.
What now.
Did g4rb4g3 = Garbage did in purpose?
I think using download mode to restore your efs partition backup will fix this since password and pin info is saved on it.
Volume DOWN + Home + Power.
Do you have a custom recovery?
Wipe everything. All of it. Flash a new rom. How the hell is this impossible to remove? Flashing a rom wipes all crap right? Wth..
---
Edit: Seems the app is known for this bug with many others. Mods should take the app down, it's killing devices, turning them unusable. If the dev can reproduce the problem or if someone smart enough could come up with a fix..

Wrong the password/pin is on the efs partition which is NEVER touched during flashes or wipes.
Or flash a AOSP rom like cm7 or MIUI since they don't use the efs partition for lock settings.
ANd i fixed it again from the brick
Just go to download mode
flush it with stock
after restart try to go to recovery it will ask you about the password
type anything as many timea as it will tell you that if you will try again it will wipe out your internall sd card
of course try once more it will wipe out your sd card and ask you again for password
type anything again and again and it will warn you again that if you try again it will wipe the internal sd card and after that you will see red info that your pass was changed to NULL
restart
and you are in and all is back to normall

You can blame him same as yourself. This story shows that you need to be really careful when you mess with your phone. This true from the developer side and from the user side. At least we have some information about this for the future and we can help people out.
Hi firstly im a massive noob so bare with me. I decided to root my s8 and this seemed to go fine then after 2 hours (in which time i didnt install or change anything as i was working) the phone crashed and switched itself off and when i tried to turn it on it would just alternate between the black samsung screen and a blue samsung loading screen but never actually turn on so after hours of panic and frantic googling i found a fix using firmware and odin so i did this and the phone now works. The only problem is its just not working right some things r quite subtle like the settings menu has some extra stuff on it or the keyboard is laggy or it auto corrects things weirdly like hey is corrected to marty and it underlines every word like its spelt wrong. Other things r not as subtle like my wifi switches itself off or looses signal my actual signal is alot lower than it was before or apps like twitter take ages to load and some apps dont work at all. could u please help im wanting to get it back to normal then root. Sorry for such a long post and thanks

Hi there. As I personally don't own a s8 i dont know what options you have etc, but what I hear could be problem with the firmware, I had another problem what was way dangerous than this, i dont know what it's called as it haven't happened to a lot of people, but I would try to boot up my phone, then at the very start, I would get a error message saying "kernel is not seandroid enforcing", this happened when I installed a boot.img(the booting procedure) that wasn't correct with the rest of the firmware, I had to download a stock rom just as you, and flash that through Odin.
My questions are if you wiped data and cache partition? If you don't know how, you turn of your device, then you boot it back up while holding power, home, vol-up (search on Google on "how to boot [insert phone name/model number here] into recovery mode. ) From there you can easily wipe data and cache. If you want you could install a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP. You can learn how to download it here and before I give you the link, remember... Google and XDA is your friend https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/
Also, when you flashed the software, did you make sure it was the correct firmware, and did you make sure on how to do it correct, if not...your device might be soft-bricked. This is easy to fix as long as you can still access download mode. To fix a soft bricked device, open up Odin while you have your phone ready to enter download mode, and flash stock rom again, then make sure to wipe both data AND cache. If you forget to do this, your device should be safe as it wouldn't boot up, but always make sure to do this to make your device work.
If you need any more help...let me know, and I would say, flash your rom again
I wanted to sign in to Snapchat but apparently, that doesn't work if you have root.
I then uninstalled the Xposed Framework and ignored it saying I should wipe dalvik cache (I now know that's stupid but I don't have a recovery or some option to do that rn)
Next, I went to SuperSu and did the full unroot.
After that I was told to reboot and now I'm stuck at the picture you always see before the bootanimation starts.
I'm looking for something like Titanium Back to get really everything saved and from there on make my phone boot again, stock rom is good enough.
I have access to a Windows PC which doesn't recognize my phone via USB, a big enough SD Card.
However, I don't have a custom recovery installed and when I try going to the stock recovery, it just says "No Command".
If I boot into fastboot, the phone acts as if everything was the way it should be while my PC still doesn't recognize it
Also, I can't remove the battery on this phone but making it go empty doesn't help either.
We´re talkting about my Umidigi Crystal 2/16 Version <-- The 2/16 is a different version!!
And it was running stock rom which was Android Nougat.
I´m not that experienced whith these things, you might have guessed it.
Thank you for any help though.
