Funny, all the threads about Anker batteries seem to indicate they are 1900 mAh. We have been using them in our 2 3D's since August and getting 10-20% more than OEM batteries. Maybe you should contact the vendor.

I'm thinking you might've gotten the Anker battery that's supposed to be for the Evo 4G:
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-1700mAh-Battery-Multi-purpose-Charger/dp/B004KW5E8W
The correct one for our 3D is this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-1900mAh..._1_7?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1329216003&sr=1-7

I bought two of these batteries from Amazon.com with a charger for $30 and they are amazing! I get about 20-25% more battery life then the stock one.

Just an update, I get around 18-20 hours of battery life with moderate use on these batteries. This is where I bought mine from, Price went up a couple of bucks from when I bought mine though.

I don't know how to test it except for usage review. Let us know how it turns out after a week or two. That battery almost seems too good to be true. My anker is heloldinv up pretty well. It's enough to notice a difference but not life changing

Well, the guy even tested it, and it came out to almost twice the original battery, at about 2900. That's definitely a plus. Problem is, it only tested at 81% of advertised... If the 1900 comes out to 81%, it'll be 1540 mAh, smaller than the OEM battery.
Hopefully someone grabs it and does a real test to see how it stacks up.
Got a set of Chichitech batteries for my 4G off Amazon a couple months ago: two batteries and a charger for $28.99. They are advertized as 1900 mah. Not sure if they are quite that but they definitely last longer than the stock Evo 4G battery so I was happy for about 14 bucks per battery. This looks too much like "early adopter ripoff" where people charge high fees for being the first out the door.

*Seidio extended battery*

So i went to bestbuy today to see if i could find a case for my shiny new white amaze, and although i didnt find a case, i did get a seidio 1900 mah extended battery for the evo 3d... although its for the evo 3d, it fits perfectly inside the Amaze... and its the same thickness as well so it doesn't interfere or alter the way the backplate fits, i have'nt used it for a full day yet, but will report back with how much better/worse the battery life is with the seidio after i calibrate it/use it for a few days... for those of you who want the battery and go to bestbuy to grab one, ask the associate for the "Pt spare battery" for the Evo 3d, as it doesn't say seidio anywhere on the packaging for some reason, but it does say it on the back of the battery... it looks cool too..

How about compared with the OE battery though? I ask because each user's experiences varies, so I'm curious as to - holding all else constant - what the difference between the OE and Sedio are. Thanks!
dont really know, i havent used the OE battery for more than 3 hours on the first day before i switched to this... but what i can say is the OE battery was draining so rapidly that it pushed me to call my wife and tell her to bring one home with her, and since that point ive been extremely happy with its performance....

I've been getting about 22 hours with moderate use on the phone and I have bluetooth on and sync on all day and night. the Original battery i would get about 12 hours of use. btw 3.7v vs 3.8 does not hurt the phone or it's performance

I recommend Chichitec 2000 mah. battery. Fits under stock cover comes with 2 batteries and a wall charger. I never run out of juice and it costs $30 bucks at the most. 1980 mAh Battery

Found these on ebay. I personally own two of the 1800 mAh AceSoft batteries and I have seen somewhat of an improvement over the stock (granted it's only 1.5 hours extra on average), but that's better than nothing. These are 1980 mAh

Good find for 14.00 what the heck.. can't be any worse than my stock bat.
I got one of the 1,800 AceSofts with a battery charger on eBay for like $15 total. I didn't see any gain at all with it, even after a couple cycles. I bought the Mugen, after making sure if it didn't do anything I could return it, and got good results. The first two days with it saw awful life, but I followed their directions and now get about 15% better life. Which doesn't really do much for standby time, but with the same screen on time, I can go to bed now at like 30% instead of around 15-20. Can't really fully recommend it yet, as I know a lot of these third party batteries lose their max mAh over time pretty quickly. But as for now, the Mugen is worth it for me. Kinda want to try the 4,000mAh, but it's waaaaay to expensive lol
Ordered one as well. I have the Mugen 1900 and my accuracy readings were always off. The phone always went from 24% -14% within seconds and would die rigth after that. I did the battery stats things and that didn't help (I know it doesn't really calibrate the battery at all) so I put my stock back in and I'm getting the same battery life with it that I was with the Mugen. and its nice to have an accurate battery again. We'll see how this one does. The Mugen battery is rediculously overpriced. We shall see how this one does.

Can you post up some screen shots side by side with the stock ones screen shots when you do, for comparison purposes? I hope it really makes a difference, I'll definitely buy if it does.

I'd be happy to but that will take a few days if you want it to accurate at all lol. A couple to get an accurate read on the new battery and a full day to drain the stock one and get a ss

Thunderbolt batteries work. I have a thunderbolt 2750 extended in my phone, right this second. I swap it in with my normal 2750 rezound extended. They're $4, all over the place (without the back cover, which you don't need anyway, because it's the wrong one).
I'd imagine if they make 1980's or anything like it for thunderbolt, that one of those would be worth trying as well.
got mine on saturday
Ok I received my 1980 battery yesterday I am going to charge it up for 6 hours per the instructions. I'll post my results later this week.
Here are initial results. It died at the red mark. Went from 19% to 8% in about ten minutes then just died. So that's about 15 hours with 3 hours of streaming music from play music in a low reception area. Keep in mind this is day one (and I did calibrate the battery before use)

Screen time on that? Are you pleased with the results so far?

Highest mAh Battery That Fits Stock Case

Anybody came across a good one?
Also interested in this as well.
Looks like a 2100 or 2500 will fit in our phones. Problem now is finding a battery that actually has that capacity mAh in it.

Here's an 1850mA for pretty cheap:

or this one but it does not fit the stock case:

Personnelly, I spent $10 and bought 4 spare batteries and a battery charger and I just replace on the go.
Most of these batteries they sell on Ebay are overrated in the actual mah capacity they claim. There is a way to check the mah with a meter and a small load and a timer but to me its too much trouble.
Some are good some are not. You are essentially buying a pig in a poke. They are cheap, not doubt about that.
Here is a lot I bought out of china. They sold these in a lot of 10 for $39.00 with free shipping. Took about two weeks for me to get them.
So, that's about $4.00 each. They seem fine.

As long as you don't charge them, they will have a long shelf life. Once you charge them then you should use them by cycling.
I only use 2 for now, rotating them out. If you play games or watch movies, the battery drains fast. I know its a pain to pop the back off and swap em but at least you can do it.
The new EVO 4G LTE, does not come with a removable battery. Once you run it down, it has to go on the charger. One feature I don't like about it. However, I think HTC is moving in that direction on all their future phones.
I like being able to change the battery. I used to listen with headset all day at work with my phone in my shirt pocket at the factory. I would have to swap out two to three batteries a day. I had a stack of them on another HTC phone I had.
.
Does anyone have an answer for my question?

I really hope your wrong. Although I wouldn't doubt it. Real stupid move. I'm gonna say it might really hurt them financially. This is one of the many reasons I've stayed away from that i-crap out there. I would have been one of the first on the waiting list to get the new evo 4g from sprint. I've been following that phone a long time. No quad core and lack of being able to replace a battery, no thanks.
I like extended batteries no matter how good the stock one is. My evo 3d stock battery is way better than when I had my evo 4g with stock battery. I'm rooted and runnin swagged out with the kernel it came with. I get 1-3 days of battery life with my stock evo3 battery. Can't wait till the end of the week for my new ext battery to get here. I'm really hoping I see 2-5 days or more. Not many phones will do that. Not even those precious i-devices those sheep love.

I'm going to guess and say they will fit just fine. I have the same charger and their pic shows it being flush with the top of the chatter. Plus it doesn't come with a extended battery back cover. Factory evo 3d batteries are 1730mah and those are 1900mah. Not much difference there. Its not like its a 2500-4000mah battery.

There is no being wrong about it. The phone is out. This is easy to prove.
I've played with it. The HTC rep at Radio Shack had one.
The battery life is tremendously good on the phone especially giving the size of the screen. However, like I say when its dead or almost there, it has to be on the charger. You cannot simple just swap in a fresh battery. Ain't happening on that phone. And I agree, big mistake for HTC - I reckon they're counting on the fact they've add enough bells and whistles to get you to overlook this.
I've always had an idea for a battery. Why can't they make a battery like a capacitor. Where it would charge up in like a nano second and discharge very slowly as needed on demand. That way, when you need to charge it, you'd just walk over the charger, zap it for 2 seconds and unplug it --- good to go for another few days.
Also what every happened to fuel cell powered cell phones? They told us that one fuel cell would power the phone for 20 to 30 years without ever charging. Science fiction I guess.
Even the new film type screens they're working on will require power. Even if you can get the screen as thin as a dollar bill and flexible, its still going to require a battery.
