Ever since i flashed the ThGo v14 ROM, my vibration isn't working properly.
It works fine on everything except calls and texts, it does not vibrate no matter what I do.
I thought it was just the ROM, so I flashed a new ROM. And it still doesn't work.
Any help?

You do have vibration turned on in sound settings right? For messaging, you have to turn it on in messaging settings.

So i rooted my Eris to 2.2 KaosFroyo today..and while i like some of the new features and the speed, I am thinking of restoring back to 2.1 simply on the fact that my trackball notification LED ceases to come on when I get a text now.
It worked perfectly fine back in 2.1, and my phone's screen is not on, neither is it plugged in (what the FAQs of KaosFroyo say will make the LED no blink)
I rely on this little flashing light to know if i have a missed call or text when i'm driving at night, or other occassions.
Anyone else have this issue? Because from everything I read, this issue seems to be fixed..but I have yet to see mine go off (gotten numerous texts so far), and i see no settings or options to configure it

I have heard that it's fixed, too, or that it's user fixable anyway, but I've been too lazy to investigate. I just wanted to add my two cents that if you do want to go back to 2.1, I highly recommend either xtrSENSE or xtrROM, they're pretty much as tweaked as they can be while still being very close to stock. I use Froyo now but every once in a while I get an itch to go back.
What version of kaosfroyo are you running ? I'm running v39 right now and the trackball does light up when I get a text or miss a call or anything. If anything, I would suggest doing a nandroid backup then try reflashing the ROM.

Thank you for posting this as I was just noticing that my light was not flashing today, but was this morning. My phone is currently plugged in so now I have my answer.
Try re-flashing it. I use v39 and it works perfectly for me. Are you sure you didn't disable anything in the settings that might interfere?

been using v39 and can't say I've had any problems. Check your settings are there are lots of variables for when it will and wont flash
Hi
I just recently installed CM 7.10 on my fascinate. I was coming from MIUI. Everything appears to be working well except I can't make outgoing calls 95% of the time.
When I attempt to make a call the signal bars all go white and it shows the contact like its trying to call, but nothing happens. Every now and again I'm able to make call, but there seems to be no consistency to when.
The strange thing is that I get incoming calls seem to be working consistently, and data and texting work as well. I've tried a few different modems and they all behave the same way. Any idea on what would cause this? It doesn't make sense to me because isn't MIUI based off of CM7?
Thanks,
Nick
try reflashing the modem/radio
I have flashed several different modems. No luck.

sounds like you do a full wipe and start over then. You can try *228 but not sure if that will work.
Wiped and the issue is still there.
I don't understand what could be causing it.
Whats modem/radio does CM7.10 use?

I was running AOKP for over a month and the notification pull down would work while on the lock screen with no problems at all. One day, it just stopped working and I have no idea why. I of course wiped the Dalvik cache and did a full reinstall and it still didn't work. I even switched over to Serendipity 9 and it also doesn't work on that ROM either. I've used the CM9 kernal and Fluxxi and it doesn't work on either. The weird thing is that if I restart my phone, the notification pull down will work ONCE after rebooting then stop working for all attempts after that. If it helps, I do not have my SIM card installed. I don't have any security set for my lockscreen. It's at the default slide unlock. Any ideas?

Im not on latest, on 6-7 still, and its working.
but it could be a fix from AOKP themselves, it could be a bug, tho I see it as a nice feature.
Or It could just be that you need to full wipe. Funny how you started a thread before doing that.

I did several full wipes and reinstalls of AOKP and Serendipity. I believe I solved the issue: The SIM card needs to be in the phone during the first boot and can be taken out after that. So far it's been working for an hour without any problems.
Recently Installed CM9 agrabrens 7.1 fantastic btw! I turned do not disturb on last night and after disabling it I no longer recieve texts on my cell phone off data. It seems that Google voice has stopped forwarding my text messages.
I have tried flashing other roms wiping data and deactivating my google voice account and no luck. I am able to send messages via the stock app fine just not receive them.
Any idea what I should do to approach this?
Thanks
I have the same problem. I am glad I am not alone. I am thinking about reverting to complete stock and then seeking technical support. Why do you think it is a Google Voice issue? Did you flash VM Firmware?

I just flashed MeanRom and the issue went away. Unexpectedly reflashed cm9 agrabren again and still no messages....
It just started happening suddenly I know that my configurations are correct.
I may try a superwipe
When I flashed into MeanRom all my messages came flooding in thank god so I didn't lose them up in the cloud but i like cm9 i Don't wanna lose texting...
Did you flash Virgin Mobile Firmware?
My messaging has not been working for a month. During this period I have tried many ROMs. I am not sure if this is ROM related.
Yes but I stripped the boot loader out of it so I am on boot 1.4 and also flashed back to 2.17 but maybe I haven't done anything other than that. But why would it be fine then randomly stop working.
I haven't tried any others from mean ROM which worked and agrabrens. I also have a kernel of he who must not be named installed I tried without it as well and problem remained. Was running great until this morning.

Bump Issue still exists
Finally I was able to get messaging back using stock app. When I disabled Google Voice I started getting error Msg 2134 and solution to it is to unblock text on the phone through Sprint's website. Damn Sprint, even they didn't know about it.
My Sprint > My Preferences > Block Texts > unblock all. And you messaging should start in a few minutes.
If this doesn't work try disabling your Google Voice account and then try it again. You might have to try different browser or wait a little bit.
I am running baked_fascinatedmtd_bb-8 and my my does not ring or vibrate with incoming calls. I have tried different profiles and settings. I also do not get vibration feedback touching the screen. Any suggestions?
built-in kernel might be bad. if you still want to use this ROM, try a 4.2.2 devil kernel (don't flash anything for 4.3 or 4.4)
I installed devil kernel 4.2.2. Still didn't work, so I installed AOKP. Even trying to set custom vibrate the phone doesn't vibrate.

try cm10.1 just to see if that works.. i've never tried AOKP or blackbean 4.2.2 but i remember cm10.1 working relatively well
The nightly build?

I installed Avatar which is built on 10.1. The phone responds to incoming calls faster by ringing, but still does not vibrate. Apparently VM notifications was not working either.

voicemail notifications haven't worked on anything newer than 4.1 i think.
seems like i remember that having the "" profiles "" setting ON,, in general,,, caused funky issues like the no ringtone/vibration stuff
voicemail notifications have not worked since 4.1, true.
you will need to use something like youmail.apk or google voice
