Hey all I need a bit of guidance...I have successfully installed the freex10 beta 4 ROM. I want to also have the cyanogen mod settings so that I can easily switch themes. How/Where do I go about flashing the cyanogen mod for the freex10 ROM? Alot of themes I see on the [Index][Guide] thread for 2.2 say they are compatible with CM 6.1.1 and freex10, so this is why I am asking how do I find CM 6.1.1?
OOOOr am I wrong about trying to install CM 6.1.1?? Maybe the Theme includes the mod itself? Thanks

I'm currently running cm-flykernel-12a-android-2.3.4+apps2sd on the CM7 nightlys. If I flash Las_Venturax over it will I loose the apps2sd option and not be able to access the apps on my card? I would post in the kernel topic but I don't have enough posts to be considered important enough for Dev talk yet.
so i've been in many roms, custom and stock...and since i know cyanogen i think they have done the ''move aplications to sd'' in every rom. i remember flashing one cm6 once on my x10 mini and see in features: default app2sd in cyanogenmod settings, so i dunno why people keep asking about app2sd or link2sd suport on roms like cm7 or cm9
so...whats the diference between moving an app to sd card from setting and do it froms app2sd?
it is really necesary on gingerbread and ics?
if it so...works better on ext partitions or fat ones?

Actually moving apps to sd-ext partition is preferred and is also better.
FAT file system is very slow and ext-2 and ext-4 are faster.
The one that comes bundled with cyanogenmod moves apps to sd card (FAT)
What you might see in your phone forums is a script which moves apps to sd-ext
In order to install that script you need to have sd card partitioned.

Moving to Q&A
Is there a matrix of compatible baseband/kernel/ROM configurations? I tried using sirkay's boot_9.587c - ICS - xKernel v9.587-C, flykernel0_6, and flykernel0_8, but they all caused reboot cycle (bootloop) with CM9.1 FXP 142.
I had to extract boot.img out of the FXP zip file and flash that kernel to successfully load up CM 9.1. Incidentally that kernel version is 2.6.32.9-FXP. FWIW, I was upgrading from CM7.2 RC1, updated baseband from D-64 to G-77 before flashing kernel and then CM 9.1.
Ideally I want to use the fastest kernel out there compatible with CM9.1, and one with Linaro would be ideal. Any suggestions?
Am I missing something, there's a whole topic specifically for questions ... [HELP] Q&A Thread - MUST POST ALL QUESTIONS HERE [ 1 2 3 ... Last ]

Yes there is Q&A thread!
Anyway for CM based ROMs you have to use CM kernel otherwise you got bootloop... i've heard AOSP/AOKP is compatible but i never tried it myself
i have looked at various threads, including the FXP thread for the cm10.
I am really confused:
1) between the cm10 nightly or the fxp.
2)which version of cm10nightly or fxp( keeping in mind the bugs)
3) which kernel to use ( i need a kernel which can reduce bugs, save battery , and allow me to overclock)
4) how to make the walkman button work on these roms
please help me...
Please search before posting a new thread, all questions should be answered in other threads
1) There is no difference between the nightly and the FXP versions, but FXP will do more updates
2) Use the latest FXP cm10 release
3) Use the kernel from the zip or Mesa for cm10 or lupus or cm10 extended, the one you like :good:
4) I don't have a lww so I don't know but there should be a thread about this...
