Hello,
I hope someone can help me (and I am in the right subforum).
My Girlfriend dropped the Xperia Pro into water, now the LCD has some nasty blur. The LCD itself works, but there seem to be something in front that blurs it (maybe only water).
Now I want to open it, but I cannot disconnect the upper panel from the back.
I do not know how to open the slider.
Can someone help me?
Thank you
Xperia Mini Pro_SK17_ Disassemble
here you go my friend!!! have fun...
Thank you vincenzo!
But I need a Guide for Xperia pro. It is the MK16a/i.
if your lcd still work, you dont need to replace it.Drying it out should sort this out.I have had this same problem on mini pro and fix it this way.Take the display out and put it on radiator for 3 hours.
I will do it.
But "take the display out" means to disassembly it? But I do not how as there a 4 screws on the backside, but I can only access two.
Maybe it is enough if I put the whole cell on the radiator.
Unfortunely the background light is flickering sometimes...

nice! do you know where can i download files like you posted (manual)?
you can take the battery out and put it on radiator, but there is a small battery fited to motherboard for keeping your Clock going if the power source is out,so you maybe destroy it overheating it.I just put the phone on radiator and it still work,so do what you thing.Better way is taking the display out. there you go m8 http://www.sonyericsson-world.com/index.php?/files/category/64-xperia-series/

Maybe I was destroyed it on my LwW because after taking battery out clock resets and in root directory there is file called mr.log

So I took the lcd completely out of the mobile phone and put it a few hours on the radiator.
Now I see still a few "blurs", but it is much better than before.
wow ..is there any instruction to complete disassamble xperia mini st15i ?

I wanna know guys, I was worried whether this glue pattern u see in the middle ( in home button ) .. is it faulty? should i go and get it replaced? it is in the warranty period. I am not sure whether they would replace my complete fone! May be they replace the Bar itslef? replacing the bar may be still a serious issue, My fone may not remain in a good position after replacing the bar!
Also My last issue, sometimes i see Yellowish Images turn green!
is it occuring to other XP owners aswell?

Go to a service center mate as this is a common issue. It is the glue from led bar and default screen protector as they were not putted correctly with thermal press from factory. They may replace it or fix it in a couple of days

Are u sure Mate I should go and give it to service center? Dunno, but they may take max a month to return it or so, I saw in Sony's Official forum, i guy had his fone replaced within a Month!
My Xperia P also have the exact same issue. When i press the bar from both sides it will go away , but after some time it comes back. I think the glue between the bar is going off. I also dont have the warranty.
If you had done even a small search, you would have seen that this is already in active discussion on another thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204585
A lot of other Xperia P users are having this issue and there is no known solution to it, just to take it to the repair service
I am having the same problem. But giving it to service centre is not a useful decision.
First , they will consider it as a design, not a flaw
Second, even if they change the strip , then the problem will arise again.
my past experience with service centre is not good. they will surely give more scratches to your phone, than you currently have
you can buy spare strip from here :

Hello, I want your help to fix my xperia go touchscreen problem. Well, Ive searched the similar problem on the forum but what I found is about "touchscreen not working" only.. was, it's very easy to text and slide trough the screens without any "not so responsive screen".. after few months my xgo became less sensitive like before, when I tried to type as fast as usual. The screen cant detect my touch.. I compared with my friend's xgo and it is easier to text on his xgo.. its because I flashed wrong rom? I flashed one roms so far (superJB and currently back on stock with phantom 1.0.9 kernel) thanks.
Xgo .100 JB with UBL.
Open your device's build.prop using any text editor and check
ro.sf.lcd_density=??
Compare its value with your friend's xperia go and edit it accordingly. After you've done with editing, restart your device.
Check screenshot in the attachment.
Note: Do not put value similar to that of screenshot. It is just for your reference.
If I helped you then press Thank you.

My Xperia Go has the exact same problem recently. It just started happening a few days ago and nothing has changed on the device (software etc). I used to be able to text VERY fast but now it sometimes takes a few pushes of the keys for the device to recognise my touch. I can't believe it is anything in the build.prop as this would have suddenly changed right? MY LCD density there is set to 160 (which is the same as default).
Any help appreciated...
EDIT - I also noticed that since my touchscreen has become un-responsive I had got battery drain issues. The last 2 nights I have gone to sleep and when I have woken up my battery is almost dead... hmmm

Sooo... i would appreciate if u could reporting back when you done it .
Same problem.. My phone is not sensitive as usual.. When typing and gaming, it is really annoying.. :'(
How much is the digitizer for Xperia U?
I didn't do nothing and the phone just became not sensitive to touch.. Sliding is good but when I press 3 times to screen.. Only 2 times approx is known to touch..
Help me out ? Only way is change digitizer?
Just make sure u didnt get touchscreen issue from lag. I use custom rom and the touchscreen is feel better, but some area still hard to use because mine is defect already. U could try search on google for ur digitizer price .

Hello guys,
two days ago I got myself stuck in heavy rain, with my xperia ray in my pocket. Whenn I got home I checked whether there was water in the phone.
Luckily it was just a bit at the bottom of the rear side and everything seemed normal, but when I pushed the home button, the white light changed into yellow, and, for I have CWMrecovery, there was no more blue light at boot. A while later even the home button and volume rocker did not respond anymore (which now is fixed). Has this to do that some water actually got in the phone and ruined the LED notification light, or what could it be?
Thanks in advance
Try cleaning your phone board using IPA..

Hi there ,First of all..when u got to know that phone is wet..you should immediately disconnect the battery to avoid internal short circuiting..I suppose its hardware..If its software u can see if SEUS fixes your problem but before operating phone you have make sure its not damaged by water..
If u havent done that water might permanently damage the circuitry inside your phone..
Clean your phone with IPA isopropyl alcohol, which might fix the issue..
The Rain water after getting dried up might leave salt traces on the board which may conduct (even when water is dried out) causing damage to the board so use IPA to clean it off by disassembling your phone..
You can google Ray disassembly, or have a professional do it for you..
If your phone was completely submerged your battery might not be working fine anymore..check your battery once..
It can be dangerous operating with a faulty battery..it might melt or even worse explode so make sure your battery is good..
Water can be a serious threat for electronics..so i dont guarantee that your led will work anymore but still its worth a shot ..:good:
Clean the board to see if everything else is working fine..but you may have to give up on that led..good luck
Hope i helped
regards..

Many thanks!
I already figured it had nothing to do with software, because several apps even confirmed that vibration and haptic feedback should work fine on the phone.
I did disconnect the battery and saw that only the lower side of the rear side (opposite to the LEDNOTLIGHT) was a little wet.
Apart from the problems I mentioned earlier I am 100% sure nothing else was damaged by the water, or as you stated, the left-over salt.
I'm definitely gonna try the IPA, thank you very much!
I'll keep you up-to-date
Glad i helped you..

How do you recommend cleaning the board? Drip the IPA on it and wait for it to dry, or what´s the best way?
Does this IPA work for the vibration and haptic feedback too? since those are practically located next to eachother

If it's not caused by water damage as you said, could having it put away in the bathroom with a hot shower on have caused it? Maybe because something caused the H. feedback to stop working and the LEDNOTlight to freak out?
Moisture from hot shower may cause damage but not sure....
To be simplelease keep your away from water..unless u have a Xperia Z or ZR or V or whatever.....

Well, the white and blue light are back, but the haptic feedback unfortunately not, and somehow the LEDlight doesn't flash anymore when a whatsapp message comes in, but that might just be me not paying attention..
Any idea how to deal with the vibration not working?
The vibration is made with a small motor with an off - centre weight on it, I have changed them before on my old Nokia ,I think most newer phones use the same type.

probably u damaged yr board or the connection cable. thats why u never should do sth if u not know what u are EXACTLY doing.
we cant really help here, bcuz to do this we would dissassemble the device & take a look. bring it to a tech shop, bcuz like said sth with the HW is surely damaged. sry

So it looks like a small part of the top of my screen is dead, already tried everything and no luck, The draw line test shows about a 10% of the screen not working. I think this might be a hardware problem, but not sure.
If its the hardware, is it possible to only replace the Digitizer glass, without replacing the LCD screen?
Where can I buy the part (hopefully Original, I read that third party replacements are usually disappointing, because of quality.)? I tried searching in ebay and amazon and was only able to find for the HTC one X not the plus version.
Is it too hard to replace or i'm better saving for a new phone?
Do you mean the area where the status bar is? My HOX+ also doesn't recognize touches there. It happened suddenly 5 months ago when I was playing games . However, I used to it and it is not a big problem, I will give it to repair when I get on vacation .
I already made some researches on the internet and it is not an uncommon problem for touch screens. Yes, it is the digitizer's fault.

Exactly the same problem, upper part of the screen (all notification bar). I have an OCD and this tiny things bug me a lot. I guess now I need to find a digitizer to replace it, the problem is that on ebay and other sites there are not HOX+ available, all are for the HOX.
Is there any difference between HOX and HOX+ digitizers? I thought both got the same screen.
I'm not an expert so I won't fix it on my own, better send it back to service .
Btw. I've read one time that you can put a piece of paper between the bezel and grill to clean some mess up which could get inside the phone. I was wondered that I was able to slip the paper there, but it didn't work .

yes it will work, but you can't only change the digitizer, it's too hard glued together. I broke my LCD connector while replacing the screen although
I was really careful, so it's not as easy as everyone says.
Thx, i will keep that in mind.
