[Q] I have an urgent question!! - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just flashed stock GB rpm through ODIN, but my phone cannot find signal right now. When I get into "about phone" it shows "unknown" from kernal version and baseband version. I think this is the reason why my phone doesn't work now. Do you have any possible solution for this issue? BTW my phone carrier is not Verizon. I'm using 3rd party prepaid service.

not being Verizon is prob your problem. You may have wiped what ever mod you had for your carrier.. Use eh03 full factory .tar and the atlis v2.2 pit as pointed out in many guides around here.. That will fix your messed up issue from not having a known kernel and radio.. Then follow whatever guide you used to get onto a 3rd party carrier again

What service do you use?
I use PagePlus Cellular [MVNO on VZW] and I have no trouble with the signal when flashing new roms

[Q] Wrong baseband with 4.1.83 update? Lost Data Connection

I updated to 4.1.83, and I thought the baseband was supposed to change to N_01.77.15P. However, mine stayed at N_01.77.07P. I've lost my ability to make a data connection through AT&T, so I'm wondering if this is related to the baseband not getting updated. Any ideas how I can update the baseband in this case?
EDIT: Ended up flashing 1.57 sbf to my phone and it fixed all data problems. Not sure if this was the best thing to do, but I needed a working phone back and thought this might do it. Would still be interested to hear from the experts what they think might have been the cause of the problem and if I was right about the baseband not being updated as the cause of the problem. Thanks.
Im having some issues with my carrier (brazilan Atrix version) using N_01.77.07P.
What is the baseband version of 1.53 Version?

You might want to try the solution outlined here in post #71. I wasn't able to try it because I had already flashed back to 1.5. (Obviously, you'd have to use the APN info for your carrier in Brazil.)
I'm waiting for Motorola's reply until the weekend, after that i will change N_01.77.07P to N_01.77.15P or N_01.87.00R and see whats happens.
Flash the Atrix 4G version maybe is dangerous because the Brazilian version is only 3G but i guess its the same hardware without the 4G antenna installed.

Please Help Me!!!

Okay so I unlocked my galaxy note just by using a non accepted sim. And I figured it was good since it said unlock was successful. However I didnt test it. I then flashed ICS clc5 leak and a tmobile baseband. No Go... baseband unknown. So I wiped and reinstalled ICS. I ended up with a baseband but also an evil little circle at the top with a line through it. I though well hmmm... I gave up and odined pure stock with a baseband but still no signal. The signal came in and dropped after seconds when I turned it on. I added a new APN still nothing.
I just want to get this working with att or not and I am beat.
I have no signal here is my system complete stock.
ANDROID 2.3.6
base band 1717UCLA1
kernel 2.6.35.11
build number GINGERBREAD.UCLA1
Edit: So much for questions and answers....

[Q] Roaming status

I'm station in Guam and purchased At&T Galaxy S2 on E-bay. I used unlockedthatphone.com to unlocked the phone and rooted the phone using galaxts2root.com method. The problem that I'm having is that the phone is always roaming; if you go to settings, about phone, under status, it shows roaming when I know it's not. Is there a way I can make the phone think that it's not roaming?
version 2.3.4
base band I777UCPLC5
kernel version 2.6.35.7_ZedomaxStockKernel
build number Gingerbread.UCKH7
Here in Guam I'm with DOCOMO PACIFIC
So u paid someone to unlock the phone. When there's an app that does it for free on the Android market? That does suck.

This was the reason I posted the question...GUIDANCE..THX MotoMudder77. The thing is that I was under the impression that the phone was on roaming status because it was made for AT&T and if used on any other network it will show roaming.
So, you want me to unroot the phone and lock it? How do I do that?
Could flash back to stock, might be necessary if you have issues with any of the
If you have clock work recovery, you could just flash a ROM that you find suitable for .
Full wipe in recovery. If you don't have recovery, you'll have to flash a Kernal with it, using Odin our heimdall.

So I unrooted the phone using 2a.) Flash the UCKH7-CL503881 stock kernel and system package using Odin3 One-Click Downloader (Windows) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313659) and did a factory reset. The only thing I can't do is to lock the phone back to AT&T sim cards, so pretty much the phone still unlocked. I still have the same problem, every time I pop that DOCOMO SIM card in and look at the phone status, it still shows roaming when I know that's not the case.
Do you think if a change the modem/radio it will go away?

You dont want to re-lock the phone, if thats even possible.
but being that your on a stock at&t ROM, the fact that your on a different carrier than at&t, the phone probably just thinks its roaming.
You could try an international ROM, if you hellraise it, or grab a ported one from the ported dev section.

I was able to locked the phone with samsung galaxy unlock app from the market and unlocked it with the same app. You are right, because the phone is on a different carrier than at&t it thinks that is roaming when we know it's not. I flashed Shostock2 v2.2.6 w/cherrypicker v1.1 and I still get the roaming status. Schostock2 is a i9100 ICS base rom but that didn't work, don't get me wrong I'm loving Shostock2 it's just annoying having that r right next to the signal bars.

[Q] Serious Radio/Signal issues

Hey guys Long time creeper first time poster.
Anyways i picked up a galaxy note yesterday that was bricked for about $175. The guy had soft bricked it recovery and download were still accessible so i simply used odin to reinstall stock rogers from Da_G's thread. The guy said he bricked it because he had a JB rom on there and wanted to go back to stock but odin froze and thats how the system bricked.
Anyways right now i have the system working and running Stock ICS from Rogers. The current issue i am facing is that there is some sort of issue with the signal. The device jumps between Virgin mobile(my provide) and emergency only. Constantly i cannot get a reliable signal on the phone. Calls constantly fail and messages rarely send.
I have tried flashing the stock radio for rogers from Da_G's thread as well but no luck. The apn is correct and ive tried turning LTE off, no success at all. Does anyone in the community have any suggestions this is a really frustrating problem!
Thanks

Flash another ROM on it. And keep in mind, it was sold to you as a brick. Maybe it also had the radio issue before you got it.
You did the ICS update via OTA?
Im downloading this rom now "UCLF6 Base Rom Featuring
The Unofficial FJ-Mod Build #11
"RISE UP!""
Will try it and see if it makes any difference.

From what I see it looks like they use the T-mobile frequencies but I could be wrong. You may need to give a t-mobile modem a try

Sorry to bump this thread but I'm having the exact same issue as the OP. I'm trying to use another modem and replacing the file you attached with the one it cane with. Then I attempted to flash it from CWM but it failed. How am I to do this? Even better could you attach a working .zip to flash.
I'm a Mac user and I only wanted to buy Mobile Odin only if necessary.
Thank you!
EDIT: I realized you can download Mobile Odin for free. I did and tried to flash the file included in LJ's post but still no signal.
