[Q] Wrong baseband with 4.1.83 update? Lost Data Connection - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated to 4.1.83, and I thought the baseband was supposed to change to N_01.77.15P. However, mine stayed at N_01.77.07P. I've lost my ability to make a data connection through AT&T, so I'm wondering if this is related to the baseband not getting updated. Any ideas how I can update the baseband in this case?
EDIT: Ended up flashing 1.57 sbf to my phone and it fixed all data problems. Not sure if this was the best thing to do, but I needed a working phone back and thought this might do it. Would still be interested to hear from the experts what they think might have been the cause of the problem and if I was right about the baseband not being updated as the cause of the problem. Thanks.

Im having some issues with my carrier (brazilan Atrix version) using N_01.77.07P.
What is the baseband version of 1.53 Version?

You might want to try the solution outlined here in post #71. I wasn't able to try it because I had already flashed back to 1.5. (Obviously, you'd have to use the APN info for your carrier in Brazil.)

I'm waiting for Motorola's reply until the weekend, after that i will change N_01.77.07P to N_01.77.15P or N_01.87.00R and see whats happens.
Flash the Atrix 4G version maybe is dangerous because the Brazilian version is only 3G but i guess its the same hardware without the 4G antenna installed.

My first attempt in beta did this. I flashed back to 26, then 57, then 83. Problem solved.

I´ve applied the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049434 and it seems to work very well... my upload jumps to 1MB .
The Brazilian Version are like the Telstra version.

Hello,
Do you know where I can get the N_01.77.15P radio?
I've been looking up and down without luck!
Thanks!
Rayan

I was having the same issues when I updated to 4.1.83 my At&t Atrix here in ecuador. Applied the modem from telestra from this link and now is working great. Ping times are much better and also down/up speed increased

[Q] Baseband version 2.1.55

HI, im new here since I got my X10 today. Just want to ask a simple question... everyone here seems to have baseband .54 as the lastest but I just update my phone and I got BB .55 with build number 2.1.1.A.0.6; can I flash freex10 beta 4 even with BB .55 ? Or can I even root it ? I want JIT like hell !
Edit : Rooted with SuperOneClickv1.5.5-ShortFuse ! NIce !
Edit : freeX10 beta 4 INstalled and working with new baseband .55 !
just make a backup with xrecovery and try it out!! If you get into bootloop you can just get back into xrecovery by turning on phone and pressing back button constantly until you're back in it, and go back to your backup.
That looks like a new build number to me! Is that the latest or only for your location? Thanks...
the rom seem to boot but wont reboot by himself like its suppose to do.
No service / Wifi ..
Not sure whether this is the right thread but I'd like to know a little more about the baseband function itself. When SE issues new ROMs they are specific to the type of device ie x10a and x10i.
Pretty much all the custom ROMs I've come across are for the x10i. Does this make the device perform diffirently for their designed radio characteristics?
I know of one thread that gave instructions on reflashing x10i that have been previously flashed to x10a(and visa versa) but I cannot seem to get to the bottom of what differences there are.
Do x10a users loose 850MHz if they flash a x10i ROM?
Anone that can point me to the right thread if this is not much appreciated.

So does the most recent edit to your first post mean that you got your service and Wifi working? If so, did it sort itself out or did you have to manually input your APN settings? Just asking because I'm going to update to beta4 from 2.1 baseband .55.

I installed JIT v2 using xRecovery on my stock 2.1.1.A.0.6 firmware without issue. It's about 50% faster (not as fast as a 2.2 froyo based rom) than stock.

Glad to hear it. I installed Beta 4 and had an issue with it not being able to connect to 3G or H but I just changed the APN settings and I was good to go after that.

[Q] wifi on, but not always connecting immediately??

i have my wifi on all the time and a few networks saved. i have wifi set up to auto connect once in rage, but sometimes it wont. its mostly when im at with work...the wifi notification will appear with a "?" over it. i need to manually select the "remembered" network for it to pick up. is there a setting im missing? my Blackberry picks it up immediately. its not the strongest signal, so maybe thats it. just wanna make sure im not missing something. and yes, my wifi sleep policy is set to none.

your Baseband version should say N_01.77.30P if it's something else then you don't have the latest radio...

no but i have read people praising .30 radio over .15...I myself had .15 before but didn't really played with it too much and just installed .30 which i think is the latest..and didn't experience any problem yet...like bluetooth signal or wifi signal...i have also heard it improves battery life...i donno how true that is...I flashed mine using RSD...and it doesn't delete or wipe anything so ...it won't harm ur current rom...
WOW....just updated the radio using CWM. took under a minute. and bam!!! first reboot wifi picked up immediately. thanks for your help!!! guess the radio was the issue.

Whats your PRL?
A bad PRL seems to be the cause as there are quite a few people, if not all owners of EVO 3D's that are having this issue. Stuck on 1x since I updated the PRL this morning....
Yeps if you recently did a PRL update OTA some reports no 3g just 1x. Go here for more info.

You can grab the old epst.apk and install it to your phone. Then, download the old PRL (mine was 21081)....in the dialer, type ##775#....enter MSL code....Click on Update PRL....unzip the PRL to the root of your SD card and update. Once done, commit the modifications (menu--->Commit mods), reboot phone and I got my 3G back...yeah for me!! Hope it helps you out...

[Q] I have an urgent question!!

I just flashed stock GB rpm through ODIN, but my phone cannot find signal right now. When I get into "about phone" it shows "unknown" from kernal version and baseband version. I think this is the reason why my phone doesn't work now. Do you have any possible solution for this issue? BTW my phone carrier is not Verizon. I'm using 3rd party prepaid service.

not being Verizon is prob your problem. You may have wiped what ever mod you had for your carrier.. Use eh03 full factory .tar and the atlis v2.2 pit as pointed out in many guides around here.. That will fix your messed up issue from not having a known kernel and radio.. Then follow whatever guide you used to get onto a 3rd party carrier again

What service do you use?
I use PagePlus Cellular [MVNO on VZW] and I have no trouble with the signal when flashing new roms

Please Help Me!!!

Okay so I unlocked my galaxy note just by using a non accepted sim. And I figured it was good since it said unlock was successful. However I didnt test it. I then flashed ICS clc5 leak and a tmobile baseband. No Go... baseband unknown. So I wiped and reinstalled ICS. I ended up with a baseband but also an evil little circle at the top with a line through it. I though well hmmm... I gave up and odined pure stock with a baseband but still no signal. The signal came in and dropped after seconds when I turned it on. I added a new APN still nothing.
I just want to get this working with att or not and I am beat.
I have no signal here is my system complete stock.
ANDROID 2.3.6
base band 1717UCLA1
kernel 2.6.35.11
build number GINGERBREAD.UCLA1
Edit: So much for questions and answers....

There's also a thread on this in general for this phone. Go to cwm, do a factory reset, ape cache x2 then flash your stock tar file. I downloaded a mislabeled modem and had this today. It sucks but it is fixable
