When I send a picture message to any of my friends using my ATT Galaxy Note, they receive the message but instead of a picture on their phone, it says "picture resolution or message size restriction". which is weird, because it has never happened to me before and I don't know if it's an error on my part or my friends phone. anyone else having problems with this?
Could be their phone is garbage .. lol

My phone sends and receives picture mail to other sprint phones all day long. I can also send a picture to any non sprint phone. The problem is I do not receive pictures from other carriers. I called sprint and spoke to tech support for 2 hours and they still did not resolve it. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could try?
Please... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Some more info... This is also happening on my wife's evo. We recently switched to an advantage account and had our numbers ported over. The mms has never worked since we have done this! Sprint has no idea what is going on but I know there are some on here that a alot smarter than them!
Please help!!!!!
Have u asked them to do a device refresh

They did! The problem is that they see nothing wrong on there end. I even went in and did the data reset in ##3282# and still nothing.
How do I fix this?
I just transitioned from an iPhone 4 to the Samsung Galaxy s2 GT-i9100 and pretty much loving it. I would love it more if I didn't encounter so many damn problems with it. Some problems I will learn to fix my self but this problem with the damn MMS is bugging me so much I'm debating on going back to the damned iPhone.
Here's the deal when I receive an MMS I have the option to download it, when I touch the download button it just sits there, not downloading. Same when sending, I'll hit send and all I see is "sending"...
At first I thought this was because my phone was rooted, so I "unrooted it" putting it back to stock wiping data blah blah blah, and once my phone booted and recognized T-Mobile I tried sending a picture and it worked! I asked my fiancé to send me a picture and I received it no problem. A few hours later I found that I now couldn't download any MMS sent to my phone nor send!
I tried updating the APN settings, looking for fixes, rebooting, and no dice.
I'm not using any data connection since the SGSII is only compatible with Tmobile edge which most of you know is garbage, so I use whatever wifi is available (i have my own)
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Hope someone can help.
Hi my GF has the i9100 also, and from only 1 person she can not receive texts.
her friend has an iphone 4s (rubbish =p) and i have seen both phones and there is no software block on either to stop texts. i think the networks are o2 and T-mobile. however when my GF had an iPhone 3gs it worked... as i said only this one person she can not receive from.
there are no blacklists with the number on it, and they can call each other fine
was that number reported by the user to the provider?
LOL no they can call eachother both fine, as in reported do you mean the user asked for it to be blocked? they are best friends so thats not the case
Sometimes after I reset the my phone I get the notification "restricted access change".
At first i thought it might be sim card since it is a new phone. So I switched it with my wifes and she put mine in hers. Her phone worked perfectly but when I turned mine on, It worked for a bit (sometimes does this also) then eventually stops working.
* no Texts can be sent or received and no calls can be received. If I try to call someone it stays on dialing and I can't cancel the call. (stays as if I am calling and have to reset phone)
Sometimes It doesn't show error, Just stops all of the above anyway.
Any suggestions or comments? anything would help.
Did you ever get to solve this issue? I am getting it on my T-mobile S3.
Tmobile could not solve the issue. Now sending the device to Samsung support to see any hardware issues...

I am getting this error too on my T-Mobile S3. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT:The reason I was getting this error was due to the guy I got my S3 from closed his t-mobile account without paying the ETF. Therefore my S3 now has been blocked on Tmobile network. The guy gave me a refund on the phone tho.
Hey all
My friend got a new Samsung Galaxy S 6 through Sprint. I too have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6.
His phone was activated with a random number He called Sprint to have his original number from AT&T put on the phone and that process took place fine.
Here is the scenario....he calls me from his phone. His desired original AT&T number shows up. No problem
I call him dialing his desired old number...his phone rings just fine. No problem with calls.
I text him to his desired number...works great.
Here is the problem:
He texts me back...it shows with a wrong number.....the original random sprint number....NOT the new (old) ATT number. I try to call that number back and it is not a working number.
We have talked to Sprint and they had him punch in some numbers with pounds to reset his phone but the problem persists. I am thinking it is my phone but don't really know what to do from here.
Bottom line...his phone texts me with a wrong number and it does not happen to other people.
Any advice would be appreciated!
SOLVED
The problem was with AT&T not completely porting the number. No issues now.
