Nice dude! I've been lookin' for this. Thanks bro.
Install through cwm? On nero 3 with voodoo jl5 but did not change animation.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
it didnt change it on mine either. nero v3 with stock kernel
Anyone get this to work?
Nero v3 / voodoo504
sbg 2.2 +
I see. Just rebooted. Only changed shutdown animation. Nice. Do you have a bootup animation that is similar. Otherwise ill just keep the nexus boot up.

dont use CWM just reinstall packages.
i pushed them through with root explorer. works fine
I haven't tried it yet but I just looked it. It's a .qmg, not the bootanimation.zip that a lot of ROMs use. The shutdown should work fine, but the boot animation won't on ROMs that use bootanimation.zip (including Nero). It can be converted, I've never done it before but I'll check it out. If anyone knows what they're doing and could probably beat me to it, please do!

Shouldn't matter what recovery you use. As long as the update.zip is signed properly, it will do what it's supposed to do either way. But like I said, not compatible with all ROMs in this format.
no bootanimation.zip to push
i agree that it doeant work on all roms. i deleted the bootanimation amd now i have a android logo across the new bootup image.

used root explorer to delete the bootanimation.zip now is working fine
So I'm assuming this won't work on Eugene's GingerClone then since it does have a bootanimation.zip??
The boot up sound file is missing
I'm assuming it has one
+1 for no sound on boot, now my professors wont know when i turn on my phone in class
- Removed Carrier text
- Gingerbread theme with white text on black background
- different lock screen battery meter
- gingerbreadish unread count circle in green and not in red.
- If it doesn't flash chances are it is the services.odex. Let me know, i can upload a zip of just the framework, from there you can edit your own services.odex.
tried to install it, but it didn‘t work.
but to be honest I‘m not sure, if I installed clockworkmod correctly. simply tapped on the zip file in the download folder and rom manager prompted for the cache options and then rebooted, but just a normal reboot and no cwm there.
my streak is running 351, rooted.
what do i have to do?
is there a gingerkrad-version available with b/w icons insteaf of green?
appreciate your help.
cheers,
marc

can you tell me how to install this onto Dell Streak?
Thanks a lot
i tried replacing in root explorer and got stuck on boot .......maybe services.odex
update: okay today I tried with streak recovery and it worked flawless thanks alot krad .........it would be awesome if the pull down menu was transparent
I applied zip with streakdroidrecovery I work fine. Thanks !
Thanks mate, works great with StreakMod Recovery after installing .351.
But I have one other request, can you also enable it to work on DPIs higher than 200 (HDPI I guess it is). Because I currently have my DPI set to 200 and it will not work...
Works and looks great on rooted (Gingerbreak) stock 351 ROM.
Thanks, Krad!
Not sure if I can... when it intialialy goes through the kitchen the xml files get changed... by default graphics come. Out of the mdpi section or crappy section.. when kitchen js run it alters just thr battery graphics to the hdpi folder. So it is a combination of both. Haven't spent the time to look through the xml files because I altered everything so far the way I like it.

i flashed the .zip file using clockworkmod ... but the device reboot infinite times after booting up ... " i can see the new tool bar >> it looks great " just for a second ... then it reboots

GingerKrad for 354
Dear Sir
Will you release GingerKrad for 354???
Thanks a lot~
just borked my phone loading streakdroid 2.0... Seems like a good starter build, but the graphics and random reboots has killed me.
I am just flashing 354 now... I will probably get sick of the stock look and redo gingerkrad for 354.. depends really on the build. Will give it a day or two.
Thank you
StreakDroid 2.0 did not run stable, waiting for your theme
Thank you so much~

Question/direction...rooted my galaxy tab using superoneclick all went fine but when trying to install Rom from recovery only option in menu is 'install update.zip'. Not showing other roms I placed on sd card...any suggestions?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
It doesn't show the other roms since it is specifically searching for the file named "update.zip". If no file with that name is found, it will not show anything. Have you tried flashing a newer recovery?
I did try that...did same thing. Using Rom manager
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Have you tried renaming the rom file to "update.zip"?
Just thought of that right before you posted...ill try it when I go to lunch and let ya know if it worked

Renaming file didn't work either. Maybe ill try to dl another version and try that.

Hey guys, I just read your post, and would like to know where you found your roms. I was doing things very easily on my Galaxy Nexus, I got cocky and wanted to help my mom get her Sammy Galaxy Tab 7 sch-1800 running some ICS on it. Now I bricked it. I know enough to use Heimdall and the command line. The roms I have do not have PIT files or whatever Heimdall is asking for. So, I flashed a kernel from the command line in hopes I could get this thing rooted and then install clockworkmod. Well, I bricked it. Can one of you guys help me out and point my in the right direction. a forum or something which will help me get a rom flashed and up and running. I promise I have looked for two days straight at many threads. OneClick thing does not work. Also can't boot up now anyways, can only enter download mode and use heimdall. Also, I could only find two roms. And when I extract the files from the zip, I do not know which part to flash them to because they are not named as I expect them (except zImage is kernel).
I flashed my sgs2 to the above. Currently on
Adroid version..2.3.6
Baseband ....i9100xxkI4
Kernel [email protected] s2 #k2-18
Build... Checkrom renohd v4
I saw an update in kitchpro that there's an update to k2-21. After downloading the file via the app, the phone restarted and when it boots, its still at k2-18.
I tried going into the particular download folder to run the file. Phone restarted with some txt flashing by the screen as if its doing some update. Upon bootup, I am still at k2-18.
Did I missed anything else? I would like to try out other kernel as well but not sure if it will crash my phone.
Any advice from seasoned users here?

go into recovery. go to were it says install zip. then scroll to find the checkrom folder.there you should have all the stuff you downloaded from the kitchen. select the kernel and flash it. reboot and then you should have your new kernel installed
Thanks Bro! It worked for me. I am actually trying different co fig to got the best battery out of my s2
Hi XDA Guys,
I have yesterday faced this serious issue, Unable to Boot off my SII - GT-I9100, when I installed a new Boot Animation with ROM Toolbox Pro.
Details: I am using 4.0.3 ICS Stock ROM I9100BVLPB baseband with Build Number IML74k.BVLPB with CF-rooted and CF-5.2 Kernel.
Once I installed a new Boot Animation with ROM Toolbox Pro, last night, it strangely not booting off from that boot animation and stuck at that animation, and is not responding, I tried rebooting several times, and taking off battery, But no luck in getting through with that new boot animation, so I had to Restore to my backed up Nandroid, from the CWM recovery Menu and proceed with the 2 days ago backed up, Working ROM.
So, I was just wondering, if this is a Bug in Rom Toolbox, or inconsistency between the kernel I used, or any other possibilities because of ROM Toolbox Pro Custom Boot Animations?
I have upgraded my kernel to Siyah 3.5.2 Kernel to isolate WIFI issues I am facing with the CF Kernel, whilst performing this Boot animation changes from my Device.
Any Ideas or Experiences?
Thanks
Chaladi
Reflash rom through CWM or Odin. ROM Manager is brick many devices here, don't use it.
I have Not flashed ROM, Just Installed Boot Animation

Didn't use Rom Manager before so can't help on that, plus you did see the animation so it was not permission issue. Perhaps you should try clear cache and dalvik when changing kernel to let it rebuild again. Booting will take a little longer after clear cache.
edit: oh, if i was not mistaken siyah is incompatible with rom manager. Try manually replace the bootanimation.zip in /system/media.
Look, there's plenty posts on here about ROM manager not working properly on s2.You tried to change your BA and you got no boot.
I've had that program give me plenty of work to restore my x10i and sg2.
I'm pretty sure my probs were booting to recovery from there-it wouldn't find recovery and throttle attempts to fix it.
Think I had to reinstall stock ROM,then reroot to get correct cwm to use my nand backup.
I don't know how its dodgy to use, just that it is is enough for me.

Hi, Thanks for your information, i will delete the Application right now, But Apologies that It is ROM Toolbox Pro that I used and caused me problems, not ROM Manger. Sincere Apologies and Sorry for this misconception. I unknowingly typed ROM Manager, since I managed it very often.
Any ideas about ROM Toolbox Issues? with BA?
ROM Toolbox Pro Bug, Not ROM Manager issue
Hi Guys, Apologies for the misconception I placed here. It is ROM Toolbox Pro, Not ROM Manager issue I have faced.
I installed new BA with ROM Toolbox Pro, and restarted and ka boom... Device stuck at BA . Gone into recovery mode and restored to working nandroid copy from CWM recovery mode boot options .
Sorry for the wrongly spelt ROM Manager Word. Now I am more that ever informed with this Buggy Applications...:highfive:
Thanks :good:
I got a friend he tried to change BA at his nexus ended up with bootloop as well, anyhow he was using jellybean so I just thought that's the case. Now it seem to have problem on S2 also.
Rom Toolbox was working well on my previous ICS rom, fonts, autorun, and battery icon all works as it should. I'll give BA a try, give me 10 mins :silly:
Very Informative and Admirable Info

Well, it worked. Preview works, no problem on download, installed then reboot manually. New boot animation, boot up completely, no errors and now typing this reply.

Admirable work. I will note this And can you Just tell me your detailed ROM Versions and Kernel Versions. I will try them for testing and debugging this BA

No problem mate, I always keep a nandroid handy. Currently using paranoid android rom v1.9.5, siyah kernel v3.5.2. Rom Toolbox v5.1.8
Good luck
I'm not sure why everyone is going on about ROM Manager lol
I have used ROM Toolbox many many times and had about a 98 percent success rate.
I've used it to change boot animations, icons and build prop.
The problem is that when you change anything like that you are messing with your phones framework files and errors can easily occur which result in boot loops.
Before making any changes like that always make a nandroid backup and at the very least backup your framework-res. Apk file.
Have fun
