I just leave it...not use it

It doesnt save battery... It reduces the screen brightness.. Use the N1 cool thing..
Its says in brackets potential battery saving...but doesn't say which one
It has to do something

Hi. New in the forum here
I have been experimenting with the render effects and they do save some battery. I formerly used the night mode render effect. For pdf reading at nights, I now activate an app called Screen Filter. Lowers screen brightness more than the builtin options and doesnt give weird colors (tint). Really good.
Sorry for my poor english.
Bye.

If the kernel you use supports voodoo color does it work automatically? Or do you need support apps like for BLN or voodoo sound?
Voodoo color works at 100% brightness only
Do I just blast the brightness and it works?

Do people know pressing the notification bar sets the brightness?
Left is lowest middle is middle and right is highest, so when I don't use it,
I put it in lowest and when I do, I put it highest for better quality.

That is such an awesome feature! Just slide your finger across the status bar left or right and voila!
Rock on!

That is pretty cool, they also make widgets that you can quickly control your brightness. The one I use is made by curvefish.
The above works as long as you have auto-adjust brightness turned off.
Just wanted to save a few it doesn't work on my phone posts.

Of thea way to make it show farenheight? I see people talking about their battery temp as farenheight. Thanks.

Fahrenheit?
SetCPU displays the batt. temp. in F.
BatteryLife widget will show you temp too. In C or F
Same for Battery Monitor Widget.
thanks for the replies. I really like the HTC battery widget so ill have to try another if i want farenheight. Stupid HTC! lol
Is it me or is this thing complete garbage? And why, why would they add such garbage to a task bar you can't change????? I just don't get it. Maybe from the market I could understand but to include this as a feature app bundled with a what is supposed to be a top notch tablet.
Just blows me away! End rant..... "sigh"

That is all very great (I was really frustrated last night, so forgive my rant) but efficiently handwriting on that thing is impossible!
I tried using 3 different styluses and my finger, no way with either method could I walk into a house and take notes and room dimensions with any speed or accuracy.
calling it a note pad and taking out the option to handwrite would be a much better representation of the app.
The ablility to change to change the app to a better handwriting app would be that much better but that's kind of a different rant....
is there a simple app to keep track of the amount of time its been since you last plugged the phone into an outlet?
just want to know how long my phones been running on battery
i know the phone has a stock battery info on gingerbread but i can have my phone plugged in and it still says running on battery, and you have to pay attention to the lil dots underneath to figure out how long actually its been running on battery
i was using battery snap, which had that option, but according to system panel app, it was drawing way too much CPU/battery
any simple suggestions?
Drainguard. Loads of extra info.
Battery widget.
