So I loaded some of my favorite games and find out the accelerometer is oriented sideways. So for racing games, I have to hold it flat and tilt the top down for left, or bottom down for right. I read that this is because game developers aren't expecting tablets to be oriented landscape primarily like ours are.
I have several games that I NEED tilt control for to win (ie heavy gunner) and games that would be fun to play (racing ones especially).
Now the million dollar question, is there a fix for this?
I noticed this with Asphalt 6, thought it was game related but maybe it's device related...
I think it is game related. Reason I say this is several people have Dead Space working in landscape but the market version doesn't.

I've had this problem for quite a while on my phone. Basically the screen resolution when playing some games (Impossible Level Game, Frozen Bubble, Light Racer, Penguin) is completely off. You can see in the screenshot that's exactly what ILG looks like on my phone. I had this problem on 1.6 but decided not to post about it because I knew 2.1 would be out soon and hoped that would fix it, but unfortunately it hasn't.
It doesn't affect a lot of other games. Angry birds, abduction, asphalt5, bubble blast and quite a few others work perfectly.
I did try looking but can't find anything about this anywhere else. Any ideas?
Like a lot of other people at the moment I'm running the Nordic 2.1 version!
Hy there.
I just got my hannspree SN10T1 tablet.
I bought it because it have a 10 inch capacitive screen and the tegra 2 processing power.
The thing is the specs says it has a G-Sensor, so i installed a game that i have on my htc desire.
The game is called Shaky Towers ( http://android-apps.com/articles/reviews/a-review-of-shaky-towers-for-android ) .
The point of the game is to tilt ur phone (the tablet in this case) sideways in order to keep the blocks from falling, but i had A HUGE BAD SUPRISE to se that my tablet did not register any sideways movement.
What is going on ?!
I saw that the auto rotate works in the browse and in other apps, so the sensor seems to be working.
But what with the games ?
I have to say that this is not the first game i tryied that does not record sideways movement.
So what is going on !?
it seems that the sensor is fine.
the problem is with the game.
it doesnt record any tilting of the tablet.
other games work perfect.
Hi folks,
I have been playing a fair bit of Temple run recently on my Desire HD but unfortunately earlier today while walking my dog we were attacked by a stray mutt and my wrist got bitten pretty badly it did some pretty nasty damage.
I am laying here getting bags of IV antibiotics and the doc's have told me, my left hand is going to be bandaged up for a while. It got me to wondering is there a way / app that I can use to simulate Swipes and Taps with a Wii Controller?
The Wiimote Controller app will substitute for all buttons, keys and phone actions but sadly not touch inputs. The Wii remote seems like a pretty cool way to play some temple run with one hand.
Is simulated taps and swipes something thats available or possible?
Cheers
anyone else having any issues with zombie smash? i searched and couldn't find anything. Running the latest CM9 nightly and i love the game but i think it thinks that my touchpad has a 7" screen. all the graphics for the menus are lower/smaller than they should be and when i'm playing the actual game the zombies are way lower than their shadows if that makes any sense. any way to fix this?

I had the exact same problem and then figured out by accident that if I tilt my tablet until the screen flips upside down once the level begins and then back again, it'll play just fine. Just a strange glitch, I guess.
I also had the same problem and the screen tilt kind of worked but then all of the zombies were off screen and all I could see were there shadows. I haven't found a solution, I liked this game on my phone and kind of wanted to play it on a larger screen. I submitted a bug report but haven't seen any news of it being fixed.
Hi guys,
One question I would like to ask as I haven't seen any report on this I think at least in here.
I would like to install games to play them on the surface duo. Being able to play full screen (so with game spanned on both displays) is really a nice thought.
BUT : if game is developed to be played on a single display device in PORTRAIT mode, it is impossible to play it on the Surface at least here. Because it does not "rotate" rotate the right way. So I am always with the game facing downwards instead of upwards...
Here are 2 games I tried that gave the same result :
- Cody Cross
- Rogue Land
With all other problems (one display randomly deciding to shut down : poor battery life ; weakness around USB-C connector ; lack of launcher to use decently...) makes it really too much.
I know this is not a gaming phone, but still. Not being intended to be and not being able to are 2 different things I think.
Regards.
